Any idea how it compares with other phones?
Please post updates regarding benchmarking apps in one of existing benchmarking threads.

I really hope Samsung makes another nexus that way we have a shot at cortex a15 soc. I'll take efficiency over marketing hype "more cores better phone"

Why did you make a new thread? Are there not enough discussions going on about the next Nexus? .

What's going on with the members here? It seems people lose their minds over a simple thread. Let there be a thousand threads on this topic you don't have to respond!

Because the more threads that exist, the harder it is to find whatever it is you're actually looking for.

What's wrong with members here that they don't realize that more threads equals more difficulty searching for people who actually can be bothered to search?
My heart skipped a couple of beats when I saw the title.

Hey post your results here. Love to see what you guys can do to the Note 2 to make it crazy fast!
Plz search before starting another thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34827882
BTW benchmarks are pretty much useless

Don't be such a party pooper bro. Yes, they are pointless, but its still fun to compare. Here's my best Antutu score...
Jedi X with Note2core OC kernel @1.8ghz. Rock solid stability and awesome battery life.

It's not being a party pooper by using existing threads instead of creating multiples for the same things. Look and see how many threads exist for battery life, benchmarks, best roms, biggest epeen.

I would love to help you, but help yourself first: ask a better question

You're right they are pointless! It is fun to see how the same phone just tweaked a little different can benchmark higher. This is my newest.

Yeah I saw those I just wanted one only with this benchmark and nothing to do with battery life ect... those others post they get off topic quick. But thanks for the info you're not a party pooper.

I was on google and stumbled upon this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1369817) and I was wondering if someone could make an updated thread for it for the gs3? And maybe include some voltage tips and include max and min values for best battery and performance tweaks? I know gs3man (i think thats his name) has a thread similar to this for ktoonsez but it doesnt exactly explain how to tweak. Or maybe it does and its just lost in the so many pages? I'm not sure but this is exactly what I was looking for I just couldn't find an updated thread for the gs3.

You hit the nail on the head, the thread you mentioned is the best thread for tweaks on a GS3 so good it's crossed carriers now to Verizon and some GSM devices as well even though their kernel is different. That is the best thread, it's just going to require you to some reading.

Yea but I'm looking more along the lines of explanations instead of how to. Of there is such a post on there it would take me at least a few hours to find it especially considering I only understand half of what's beon said . If its there what page would you recomend starting from?

The information on governors and schedulers provided in the thread you linked is Universal, that applies to all kernels. That information can be found in several forums and threads.
Now how to specifically use and how they function on an S3 is the thread which you mentioned second and I confirmed is your best source for what works on the S3. Whether your looking for performance, or battery savings, or a balanced combination. The Team Kernelizers thread has the most and best information. They even have re set up tweaks you can just copy and use on your device. While getting similar results is always difficult because no two users use their device the same way.
But again reading that thread is going to give you the most and best information. The OP has the best set ups in there. Trust me I know there's a lot of junk in the thread as well from others but that's the best place. You will also find that Team Kernelizers crew will be very helpful and guide you and answer any questions you may have.

This thread also has some great links for everything
Specifically for your purposes, read the "How to use SetCPU" and "Android governors explained" links, as well as anything else that has to do with kernel tweaking or CPU information

So my question to you all is it worth it too root your device... Should you take the risk... or should you take the safe way and stay stock....

No one can answer this but you. If you are unsure then I would advise you not to do it. Educate yourself on the pros and cons and determine if it will hold any value for you.

The way you phrased your post sounded like you were asking of you should root or not. And I think this is kind of a silly question to ask on a dev forum when the answer is so obvious. I believe that rooting is the only way to bring out the full potential. Even better is the development of custom roms.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747
It's a must for me.
Well as personal experience I would say ROOOT!!, but only if you feel confident enough arround the system that you wont screw it up
Don't root. You will get pregnant and die

As mentioned, do some research and decide what you need to do with your phone. Do you want features not available with stock? An Engineer at Qualcomm just stated at XDAevCon 2013 yesterday that a custom ROM can be one of the best ways to increase battery life, however ERD Jcase stated that it opens security risks so he chooses not to root. The choice is yours. But read, read, read before you decide.
I will never own an Android phone that is stock. Once I took the plunge back with my Inspire 4G, I couldn't run stock. It would drive me crazy. Too many features and Roms to try.

Talking about risk, theres no risk if u follow and read the steps very carefully, although there are largely benefits of rooting, on battery, resources, space, and ofcourse using some rooted apps like root call blocker, titanium backup, greenify, and many more.....

Your question was already answered here on your very on posting. If that is not enough information for you please type that question on Google or yahoo and pick and choose from the results. There are so many articles, blogs, and forums on this that you should not need to ask what the benefits are.

You have to understand that they are trying to clean up these forums from the many and many useless questions and posts that have been asked and answered many times for years; What are the benefits of rooting being one of them, which actually takes longer to type in using a simple google search, than to find the answer.
They feel here that these types of posts only crowd the forums, and only get in the way of people's searches for more useful information.
As subject I just wanted to see some benchmarks from each ROM users and see which one has the best performance readings.

In general such rom comparisons are against XDA rules, also you posted in wrong section, also there is already a topic with benchmarks under general if i remember correctly.
EDIT:Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2697650
Ooh wrong place to post and a very wrongbquestion to ask here. U might wanna put it in general section .or rather try the roms yourself and find out.
