Missing all incomming calls - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

My phone is straight up no ringing anymore. I have decent signal 2-3 bars in my house and the phone does not ring. I can make calls every time i attempt but every call someone tries to make goes straight to voicemail.
Wifi calling works to accept calls
Odd thing is that the phone will ring outside my house. I thought my rom was messed up so i went back to 4.0.3 stock kernel, radio and rom, just rooted.
I wish I could find a 4.0.4 completely stock, just rooted rom on here but i can't seem to see it.
Anyone have any ideas?

You strait up shouldn't talk like that and try Jedi mind trick x2 most stable Rom

i actually used odin to go back to 2.3.6 and now all my incoming calls over the cellular network and wifi work work fine. upgrading to latest firmware via Kies atm. I didn't think tinkering with the kernel and roms could result in a phone that ran like a dream and would drop calls like crazy. But i guess it can. I had tried jedi knight 3,4,5 and mind trick 9/x/x2/

[Q]T-mobile Wifi-Calling and echo problems?

Just got the Samsung Galaxy S3 for T-mobile and have been experiencing a few strange issues with general call quality. About 2 or 3 mins into a call via wifi-calling, sound from the other side will just cut out. The call is still connected and I am then forced to hang-up and redial. This has happened already on 3 separate occasions. Calls off wifi-calling did not experience this issue albeit I could hear an echo of myself =(. Redialing and asking the other party to call me did not resolve the echo issue. The other party did not hear the echo.
Anyone else experiencing these types of issues or know of any fixes? Since it's only my first day with the phone, I'm hoping these are only fluke occurrences...
Yeap has happened to me calling out of town and in town numbers. Sounds like a dead line, and then when u talk u get an echo. I was advised by the people on the other line that they could hear me. This has happened while on the network due to I don't use Wi-Fi calling.

Anyone else have any wificalling issues?
My issue is more on loosing connection to the server while the phone is in asleep. the wifi connection is not lost just the connection to the server is lost and then my battery gets lost on locating connection.any ideas on that ?
I normally use wifi calling, but today at work and at home (so two different connections and two different routers) I tried to answer an incoming call, but the caller could not here me. I pressed the end button, and the dialer froze for about a minute before saying the dialer stopped responding and requested me to close it. Tested several more times before wiping my phone and reloading my rom fresh. Did the same thing afterwords. Then I turned off wifi calling and the normal network calling worked fine. Maybe a tmo server issue?

word for word same issues im having, also 2 different routers.:crying:
Although I am not certain if this problem exited before rooting and flashing my phone, my WiFi Calling has not been working. I can place the call, but I cannot hear it ring or hear anything when calling. I can receive calls, but once I answer, I cannot hear anything. I am able to receive text messages normally.
I have resorted to switching to the cellular preferred only option. I hope there will be a remedy for this issue.
I'm on the FreeGS3 R3 rom with stock kernal.

What Rom are you using? Im trying to conclude that the issue might be with the [ROM][GSM]{7.8.2012} Team Sonic Presents FreeGS3 R3 (Special FiveOhFox Edition).....I have noticed a few people in this thread have the issue using that ROM

I am running Whitehawks STOCK TVALUEM999 ROM with none of these issues. I am only on wifi as thats all I have available and I do not have an issues. It's possible that the removal of all the T-Mobile Bloatware, or some Mods done could be causing this. I have great battery life on that ROM and everything works fine. I am excited about this ROM, but am waiting to see another release come out and see how that works. ALSO, get ROM Manager, update to the newest CWM and try a data/dalvick cache, factory reset and install from zip from internal SD. Let me know how that works out
I use Wi-Fi calling exclusively when I'm at home. I'm rooted but still using Touchwiz.
I haven't had any echo problems. I think the quality overall is pretty bad though. For lack of being able to think of anything better atm, I'll just say it sounds rough. It was something that really bothered me at 1st, but I guess I'm kind of getting used to it. There are times I've thought the call was lost bc the call becomes so silent (clear and empty), but after a moment, I can hear them again and the call continues.
My husband switched over to T-Mobile about two weeks before I got the S3 and switched over from Verizon. While using the Wi-Fi calling, I've lost a call or two so far. My husband, who has an HTC One S, has also lost a call or two and he thinks the quality of his calls are fairly poor also.
I'm wondering if it's not necessarily a S3 thing, but perhaps a T-Mobile thing???
That being said... There are times he has full Wi-Fi bars and I have barely anything, and when I check the signal my laptop is getting, that's full as well. When I check the Battery from Settings, I always only have a yellow bar that is frequently dotted with sections of red.
The Wi-Fi issue, whatever the hell it is, is really the only bummer about the phone for me.

I am not sure if what to tell you, but I am in Afghanistan with the Samsung GS3 rooted, and I do not have a single issue with call quality with some of the crapiest internet connections you can ask for.. No echo, no dropped calls. Your internet connection quality can make a difference, when you make phone calls, any downloads going on can hinder the quality, also the type of router u have makes a difference. A wireless N router with 300MBS per second would be ideal...
It doesnt matter if your are using Touchwiz, the rom you are using matters, no other threads are stating this issue. I suggest you try another rom like redruM cause he just released a new update today, or Whitehaws STOCK. It performs great and has CIQ removed, zipalign on boot, some T-Mobile bloat removed, no force closes on any apps and good battery.. It doesn't have the crazy scripts and 4 in 1 reboot, however, if u dont care about that and you want stable and root, its a good option
According to T-Mobile technical support, they have escalated the issue of wifi-calling and wifi connectivity issues to Samsung and supposedly there is a team working on this. Supposedly they will be doing an over the air update.
it doesn't seem like a lot of us is having this problem, could it be the phone itself? i was fine until a couple of days ago. now i am having the same problems as some in this thread; i can hear them but they can't hear me. sometimes it freezes when i answer the call. now i'm thinking if rooting (phone is rooted only) was a probable cause, and if i should do a nandroid restore or system reset??
No wi-fi calling

TMo - GS3
My phone is and has not ever been Rooted. I'm having the same issue that when wi-fi calling is active, if I receive a call, the caller cannot hear me, and then the app. hangs for a minute when I hit end or the caller hangs up. I tried it on a couple networks. I thought I was able to make wi-fi calls, but that seems to not work all the time, either.
I believe this is the first TMo ICS phone, right? I had a 4.0.3 custom (Passion) ROM on my Vibrant (GS1), but since there wasn't ICS TMo phone, there was no wi-fi calling app. on it.
I called T-Mo support and told them I found this thread with other users with the same problem, but they didn't say anything was in the works. Samsung support gave me their usual answer, of doing a factory reset, reinstalling and reconfiguring everything (yeah right).
I get the hang sometimes and I also get the problem of people not being able to hear me when I pick up. Annoying. I got rid of my amaze after the ICS update because it screwed up wifi calling(delay in voice 5-10sec). Piss poor. Wish it worked better because I don't get a cell signal in my house.
To get rid of the voice echo - disable the noise cancelation during a phone call in the in call menu. The noise cancelation uses two mics but unfortunately picks up the noise of the speaker as well, causing the echo effect.
when i first got my s3 i had the wifi calling on and i'd miss calls. people said that it didn't even ring just went right to voice mail. on the occasion that a call actually went through people couldn't hear me and for me they cut in and out. i gave up and stopped using it.
when i bought the phone i was told that when on wifi calling the minutes didn't count against my plan, but reading the manual i got the impression that they did. which is correct?

You have to have them add the free WiFi calling feature to your plan and then they don't count. Just tell them you want your minutes on wifi to be free. There is no extra charge after they add that code.

I'm having the same issue, wifi calling does not work. No one on the other end when I answer incoming calls. Can't connect out.
For me it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't I just turn it off, I use 200 minutes so far this month and today is the last day so I'm good with 500 minutes plan

Did any of you with the wifi calling problem install Skype? My first phone had the problem of no one hearing me and freezing when hanging up. I ended up returning it to Tmobile for another phone.
Right before I returned the old phone I did some testing. I flashed it back to stock and it didn't fix the problem, but when I wiped the data and cache in download mode, it seemed to help with the wifi calling, not sure how consistent it worked, but at least for the first call I can hear them and vice versa.
So I'm thinking something I installed may have played a factor, and right now my suspicion is that it's skype. I haven't installed it on my new phone since I don't want to screw the wifi calling on there.

Phone audio won't work irregardless of ROM installed, please assist

Hello all I am having an issue where, on the rare occasions I use my phone to make a call, the person on the other end of the line can not hear me. I though it was just the ROM I was using (Rootbox 02/20 Nightly), so using the latest TWRP I 3X wiped everything and flashed the last non nightly Rootbox. The problem still persisted before I even started to redo my apps and whatnot. After this problem I flashed CleanROM ACE 4.5, [N7105XXDMB3 ULTIMATE], and Jedi-XP11. Every ROM I flash the phone audio doesn't work, and I can't figure out why. Every other aspect of the phone works just not the call audio. I am hoping that the good people here can assist me with a fix before I go through the process of using ODIN to go back to stock and all that jazz. Thanks again for any help I get.
Do you have a data signal or is there just a circle with a line through it where your signal bars should be? If your baseband shows as unknown do a Google search.
I have full bars, my data works, and my base band shows I317UCALK7. Like I said before everything works (SMS, MMS, Internet, Voicemail, Youtube app, BT media streaming) just not in call audio. I can hear them just fine but when I speak they hear nothing.

How about on speaker phone? Cuz you didn't mention that. If it works there then it's not the Mic! If no quirky there then it's the Mic.
You know often lint from our pockets can clog up your Mic. Happen to my niece. Brother called said I can here my daughter when she calls me. Told him to tell her to check her Mic area, make sure it wasn't clogged with anything. It was full of lint took a safety pin cleaned it out. Mic is fine, everyone can here her NOW!

It would not hurt to try loudspeaker or headphones with a mic.

[Q] Not able to make or receive calls

I have the galaxy note 2 for sprint rooted with synergy rom and perseus kernel. I am able to use data just fine but can not make or receive voice calls. Sprint has been able to temporarily fix the problem. I also did a backup and reset that fixed it temporarily. I have read that other users with rooted phones are having similar issues and even people without rooted phones are having problems with sprint's network. I can't tell if my issue is because my phone is rooted or because the galaxy note 2 on sprint is having issues. Should I just restore it to stock firmware?
I've had that issue as well. I was on a stock rooted ROM at the time. I restored the phone to stock, and still had the issue. I think my issue was Google Voice. I like it for voice mail. I didn't do the whole Sprint-Google Voice integration. Sprint had to remove Google Voice to fix it. It's lame. If you have Google Voice, it may be worth exploring.
Not sure what is causing this or how to fix it but i am experiencing the same thing on my whomp rom with the latest perseus kernel. This had happened to my last note 2 about 3 weeks ago so i had it replaced by a service center. It was working fine until last night. I was in a call and all of a sudden it lost signal, came back and when i tried calling, the call went through but i cannot hear anything, not on the headset, speaker or bluetooth. So im still not able to make or receive calls and dont know what to do lol.
called ffonsu
I erased my data 3 times, unrooted my phone and restored to factory. After I return from vacation I'll use Google voice and see if that's the problem. If not then I'll add the synergy rom. If it still works then I'll add perseus kernel. We could have all gotten bad downloads, but I'll investigate.
Any update on this problem my screen is cracked so sprint won't replace my phone or fix this problem. I also have no audio but only during outgoing or incoming calls.

I restored my phone to stock rom, re-rooted it and am now running mack's all star 5.0 with no problems. The problem may have been with the kernel because I did not reinstall perseus.

My tmobile S4 can no longer make or recieive calls

I had an aosp rom insatlled and all was working fine.
Then out of the blue with no warning...I can no longer receive nor make calls. When I attempt a call i hear no dial tone...and when the person picks up the timer starts running but I cant hear anything and they cant hear me..
I flashed other roms and same issue. I even did an odin flash to stock and the problem persist. Both speakers are working. I tested both.

I had this happen with my rom. It was so strange. In my case it would let me dial three numbers then I could dial no more. Couldn't recieve or make a call.. I did however fix the situation with flashing the rom again. Haven't had any trouble since. In your case somehow your radio might have gotten changed. You might look into what the radio was before the rom and possibly download that radio again. Or you can try basic ics radios and see if any work for you. You have nothing to loose by trying. You can get the radios here on xda. On my last device a similar thing happened to me and I had to flash a new radio. It did restore my abilities. Its worth a try. It could be what's going on with your device. It certainly wont hurt to try. I wish you the best and do hope this helps you.
Happens to me occasionally, reboot fixes it.

I had something similar happen to me with a AOSP rom. On Thursday I started having trouble with dropped calls and then yesterday it got worse and I was unable to make or receive calls at all. Right after dialing the phone would beep and the call would end. Data and SMS was fine.
After multiple reboots and a good amount of time it started working again. I'm not convinced I did anything to fix it. After reading about your problems I wonder if the cause was on the tmobile side.

[HELP NEEDED] Blocked calls on AOSP?

First off, before getting into anything, let me just say that yes, I do fully realize that I am posting this in the wrong section. The reason why I'm posting this thread here is to fully ensure that this issue gets the most attention as possible, as I've already posted for help if the Q&A section of the G2 forums and various other help threads, to no avail. This is kind of my last resort here.
Whenever I'm on an AOSP ROM, using either basebands ZV8 (From my understanding, some LS980 ROMs only work with JB/ZV8 modem) or ZVD (The modem zip is named KK_BASEBAND.zip by Cloudy, so I'm ASSUMING that's either ZVD or ZVC), data, outbound calls, texts, everything works, EXCEPT for incoming calls. Just goes straight to voicemail. And this is only with AOSP ROMs. Stock ROMs perform with no problem. I've been trying to get to the bottom of this issue, but I just can't seem to get a finger on it. So I'm currently in stock until I can get some insight on this. Has anybody had any experience with this, or know what's going on? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. And, for what its worth, I rooted using towelroot+AutoRec.
zv8 baseband works for me on incoming calls, (texting wise i have to use a 3rd party app) *currently running cm 12 at the moment*

ZV8 works for me for a little while, too, and then it seems like a day later or so, all incoming calls go straight to voicemail. I usually call myself at least once or twice a day just to make sure everything still works, and calls get blocked sooner or later. Is there a dialer code I could use to upgrade PRL on AOSP? Going back to stock > upgrading PRL seems to do nothing, so I'm wondering if it'd be better to do it on AOSP, rather than going back to stock.
no way to update profile or prl on aosp unfortunately

I was having this issue on stock and aosp turns out sprint was working on towers here upgrading them... And it only affected incoming calls... Might want to call sprint and see...had something to do with spark bands in our phone...next time you try aosp put it on CDMA and see what happens... That was my experience

I may, or may not have finally found a solution for this. I was on Super G2 ROM with ZVC modem, PRL/Profile updated and everything, and instead of downgrading modem to flash certain AOSP ROMs, I flashed last Mahdi build (which is on KK modem) and just left the radio alone. So far, everything seems to be okay. So far. I've been getting calls and calling myself randomly from Google Dialer to make sure everything is good, and all remains well for the moment. We'll see how this turns out.
Im having this same problem, on Sprint using a G3 on AOSP rom.. its kind of annoying, especially since all my calls go straight to vmail.. is there a fix?
You can also try the ZV7 modem
