Hi im new here and would like some advice,
i have a HTC One X with CID TMOB005 (UK T-Mobile) and am stuck in a recovery loop, if you try to boot the phone normally it just gets to the beats logo and reboots, now i have tried to flash with RUU but will not recognize the phone but it can be seen running the fastboot cmd. i think its because its an old RUU im in need of;
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_TMO_UK_1.29.110.11_Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260731_signed.exe
but cant find a download stable anywhere!
Is there a way round this any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

Have you flashed a custom rom?
Not as yet anything i need to flash with custom rom? and where would i obtain a custom ROM?, i have extracted the rom.zip from the Old RUU and tried to fastboot flash bit getting error code when flashing the system.img..
Put the rom.zip together with fastboot files. Then go to fastboot and type 'fastboot oem rebootRUU', then type 'fastboot flash zip rom.zip'
The RUU should flash. Just will take a few minute to send the zip and flash.
But before you do that that, check your main version by typing 'fastboot getvar all' and see the version, if it's still like 1.29 or 1.28 then you can flash the RUU.

I have searched the whole internet and cant find one anywhere, iv been searching for ages! anyone know where i could find this?
CID: TMOB005

Still having same problem! anyone else think they got a solution?
You could always try unlocking via htc dev then flash custom recovery and a custom rom.
Yeah, since your RUU is impossible to find, you must flash a custom ROM and it'll be all good, but you won't be able to return to stock eternally, until someone uploads their stock nanodroid backup or a RUU is leaked somewhere.
I don't understand, how are you in a bootloop if you haven't unlocked it?
Have you tried factory reset?
If you're still looking for RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_TMO_UK_1.29.110.11_Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260731_signed then here's the link

Hello all!
I want to get my ONE X back to stock image and I have done some of the research already with the below info
How to : go to bootloader / fastboot mode
(even though some people may not agree with this, but this will bring no harm and it is noob-proof) do this:
1- flash a stock recovery.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery_signed.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot erase cache
2- flash a stock boot.img
fastboot flash boot boot_signed.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot erase cache
3- re-lock bootloader
fastboot oem lock
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot erase cache
4- run/doubleclick RUU and follow instructions.
But could someone explain what RUU i would need for my mobile as I am on O2 mobile and I have the CM rom currently, which i am finding hard to get along with and just want it back to stock.
Could you guys help me with the extra info and downloads I need please!?
Kind regards
use "fastboot getvar main-version" (not sure if syntax is correct) , so you can search for your ruu.

Can anyone help? I'm trying to upgrade my hboot so i can use the new MIUI v5.
I installed the rom and it was buggy and crashed frequently, so i think this may be causing it as the RD version says i need hboot 1.3 or higher mine is 0.94.0000
My CID is H3G_001 which i cant find on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957376
I found this thread but i think i can't use it on my device as i'm in the UK but i may be wrong? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1870652
Is it possible for me to upgrade the hboot? And if not would this be causing the problem of freezing on MIUI v5?
Thanks
Just found this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1927048 but unsure if it will work?
Post the result of fastboot getvar version-main
We Will find a suitable ruu for your device... Then you can return to full stock and they update ota to jellybean... And then flash the latest miui..
If your sure that you are comfortable with flashing a firmware to update.. Then only do it... I would always prefer ota update!

Just downloading it now, so when i run that i just need to do an update as normal (like if you werent rooted).
Then i unlock the bootloader as normal with my previous unlock.bin or should i make a new one?
I take it i won't need to reinstall my recovery? All i will need to do after is flash the miui boot.img and then the rom?
Appreciate your help!

What recovery would you recommend? Sorry for many questions just dont want to get this wrong.
I used CWM in the past so i assume the latest version from their site should be fine 5.8.4.0
Im using Philz touch recovery, based on CWM. Personal best choice at this time.

Hi,
I've using CM 11 for a while on my HOX. I didn't have the backup of my original ROM. I didn't think I'd need to sell the phone but I wanted to and I was told to restore the stock ROM back. I thought I got the correct RUU and when I tried to flash (after relocking bootloader and erasing cache), I was told by RUU GUI that there was a bootloader version problem. Reading about it, I found that my HBOOT version is 1.72.0000 and the RUU showed something like 1.29.
After reading further I found that I was downgrading the HBOOT and for that I need to have S-OFF (I have S-ON).
I then extracted the ROM.zip file from the RUU and tried to flash the system.img and boot_signed.img files and found myself in a situation where the phone goes into a boot loader loop.
The battery has been dead and I'm also plagued by the power management bug in HOX ( doesn't charge at all and had to leave it on for days). Luckily it started charging again but since the phone goes into a bootloader loop, the battery is dying.
I found the fastboot-battery-recharge on this forum where I'm trickle charging it.
Can you help me flash the original ROM back by identifying the correct RUU (android files. org)?
My phone details:
F:\HOX>fastboot getvar all

I downloaded this RUU: RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.31_R_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed.exe
Would this work when the phone is charged?
Please assist as I want to sell the phone.
Thanks in advance guys.
The battery seems to have charged a little bit and I tried the RUU mentioned above, but it doesn't run fully. I get the initial messages to accept about battery being 30% etc, and then I'm shown the current image versoin 4.17.xxx and then the "Update" button. When I click it, the RUU just closes. I'm trying to download another RUU: RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.27_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_298897_signed.exe
In case there was something wrong with the ROM..
The flashing of the second RUU failed this time with error 158. Incorrect RUU. So I went ahead and unlocked bootloader again and CM is back working now thankfully. I still don't know how to flash it with stock ROM correctly. I'm reading about downloading some Nandroid backups 3.20.x versions and restoring it.
I don't want to risk anymore, so please let me know.

You will never succsses to flash RUU no RUU for this high main version restore nandroid or install custom rom on it
Ok thank you. That clarifies about RUU flashing. I have downloaded 3.14 (VODAP0001) Nandroid from one of pages of this site and follow the instructions to flash. Hopefully I'll get stock ROM back then.
Do I need to have the stock recovery also? Is stock recovery required for OTA and when factory reset on the stock ROM it would revert back to factory state (going through setup process again)?

Nandroid Backup 4.17.161.2 CID VODAP001 thanks to alextheg will this be okay its from this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
Thant, thanks. I guess 4.17.161.3 is for me. I'll see if there's a uk based VODAP001.
I will use this: 4.17.161.2 CID VODAP001. Will follow the steps mentioned where I got the Nand backup itself.
wohoo!! I got the 'stock' ROM back!! Thanks Thant! You're brilliant! I also copied the recovery.img from the Nand backup. Can I flash that with cmd: "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"? Can I erase cache and relock bootloader to see if I get OTA? Is that the correct way forward?

you need stock recovery not this in the backup search for stok recovery for your base or download OTA and choice install later then take the recovery from OTA and flash it
Fixed!! HOX stuck in bootloop and cannot restore ROM
Perfect! I choose install later when the OTA came up on the phone, connected it to my computer and navigated to the download folder on my phone. Found the file : "OTA_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_50_S_Vodafone_UK_4.17.161.3-4.17.161.2_release_369941".
Extracted recovery.img from the firmware.zip file within, copied to my computer, put the phone in fastboot mode and flashed the recovery using command: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img.
That was it. Rebooted the phone and installed the OTA without any issues!!
It back to factory state. Thanks a million Thant!!

Good to hear that
I really hope someone can help me!!
Tried to flash new boot loader version to 3.19 to install CM12 through fastboot. Had an error at the end saying it failed. I then tried to go back to stock and update with OTA's to get the new boot loader version so I could flash CM12, but that didn't work either. Rebooted phone and it was dead. Tried to do a wipe and restore nandroid backup. Said it couldn't read file. When I had my 64gb SD Card in the phone the Radio and Open DSP come up as invalid on the boot loader screen. But if I put in a 1 gb SD card or no SD card the Radio and Open DSP are OK. Put in a 1gb SD card with the CM11 zip and tried to flash in CWM recovery, looked to install OK, but still gets stuck in boot loop. Have tried re-flashing a few times and no luck.
Bootloader unlocked, s-on,

I can't find the RUU for 1.54.206.5 anywhere. I've found nandroid backups, images, etc for 1.54.206.5 but they won't flash (I my be doing something wrong). Any other ideas? Can I run a newer RUU?
I got the WEE 1.54.1540.10 BrightstarUS RUU but it said it wasn't compatible? My CID is o2___001. Do I need to try find something that matches that as well as 1.54.206.5?

hi im really stuck i have a htc one m8 from optus AU and it wont boot just into system im stuck on either the fastboot screen or the hboot screen.
I've had the phone in storage for a few months battery was dead so i charged it up and now it wont boot properly
its locked and s-on and unmodified although on top of the menu it says ***software status: modified***
ive tried multiple things, RUU i cant find a version for my phone, other roms aren't signed so cant load them.... Anything else i can do?? i can at least run fastboot usb commands. I've tried getting twrp on there and again not signed.
All i can do from the menu is go into hboot but nothing works in there either, factory reset does nothing and the other options dont do anything worth mentioning.
here is my getvar

If there is no RUU for your version, your best option is to unlock the bootloader using HTCDev.com. After that, you will be able to install TWRP, and restore a stock nandroid or flash a custom ROM.
This is assuming you have no valid warranty on the device; nor wish to go the route of a warranty service?

Did you search the ROM thread for those errors? Or try flashing a different ROM.
Also make sure you are using current version TWRP 3.0. Older versions are known to cause issues on more recent firmware and ROMs.
Otherwise, I see no reason for current ROMs to work on your phone (hboot and other firmware looks up to date).
yep tried 3 different roms and same issue cant driver error 19 and no wifi or simcard, and twrp is the latest, is it possible for my firmware to be messed up, or maybe my hardware is damaged?

You can try to flash the full firmware for your device version. If it's still the same problem then you may have hardware issue.
You can get the 6.12.980.5 full firmware.zip here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60218734&postcount=5
Run these commands :
fastboot oem lock (to relock bootloader as you have a S-On device)
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip fw_6.12.980.5.zip
then you'll see error, repeat
fastboot flash zip fw_6.12.980.5.zip
fastboot reboot
then see whether your problem is fixed or not.
