Hello, noticed something weird, was trying to log in to my online banking and it locked me out twice. I know I put in the right password so then with some messing around I noticed that when I use the $ sign it automatically inserts a space infront of it and messing up my password.
Anyone else had issues with this? I'm looking around on how to disable this.

FWIW, I can't use Lastpass with Chrome right now. It will not paste.
Starting to happen in other fields from the clipboard as well... Good thing I have FireFox to tide me over.

I'm getting a weird pop up box with every click on xda-developers this morning.
The box pops up, saying I need to enter a user name and password for stage.myplaydirect.com
This happens for both firefox and IE.
Anyone else having this problem? Makes for a frustrating surfing experience. Only happens on the xda site. Reset computer, ran virus scan and came back clean.

Yes, me too using firefox. Really irritating and I hasten to add that I have not attempted to submit my real username and password incase it's a rather 'in your face' form of phishing.

I got the same problem on both firefox and IE, and only when browsing this forum. No other sites or forums cause this pop up and my virus checker came up empty as did a complete scan of my system.
That's why I'm pretty sure something from this site is generating it.
Good to know I'm not the only one. Google didn't shed any light on it either other than some sony myplaydirect program, which isn't installed on my computer and I had never heard of.
Same here stage.myplaydirect.com

Have same problem with my Nexus One, log on to "stage.myplaydirect.com" pops up every time i reach the XDA forum and only there.
But on my computer it does not???
I have it too! really annoying... is it a bug of xda?
i have same message on all pages on XDA using FF3.6 and IE8.
No viruses found by anti virus program
I think this was solved by Svetius, and was related to third party advert code.
FWIW, xda doesn't ask for your password in such a box, so don't type it into that box. And your XDA password never needs to be typed into a site other than xda-developers.com and iphone-developers.com (if you import your account there)
.... even this one is
When you click on the Logout button a popup pops up and asks
"Are you sure you want to log out?"
Yes, I am sure I want to log out - that's why I clicked on the b***** Logout button.
Arrrrarrrgh
I hear you it gets annoying

@OP,
What if you are on mobile and you accidentally clicked on it while you were trying to do something like pinch and zoom? The reason why it asks for confirmation is so that, if you made a mistake, you will save yourself from having to put in your password again.
No. It is other people trying to save someone else because they think the world is stupid!

^ Detect the user agent and throw the pop up only for mobile devices not PCs.
It requires a lot more effort to develop different UIs for multiple platforms. It's easy to keep things the same across user-agents until someone complains. Occam's Razor and whatnot.
If this one extra click is causing you trouble then my advice is to not use any kind of software or website ever again. I'm fairly certain that this kind of annoyance will pop up elsewhere and I'd hate for anyone to have to experience such a hardship twice.

I've just returned after a 3 year absence - I see that the Log Out button is still asking if I am too stupid to log out without help. I'm going to find myself a hole somewhere without "any kind of software or website".
*Edit: The 12/3 Gmail update seems to have fixed this issue.
-----
I've been having problems with Gmail on this phone. Specifically, the biggest one is probably that when I view an email and then swipe left or right to go forward or back to the next or last email in the box often it will just get stuck loading that email infinitely.
I noticed if I turn the phone sideways and then back up again it fixes it, but it's still really annoying.
I have Ice Cream Sandwich running the lastest Gmail on my HP Touchpad and have not noticed this issue so I don't know if it's a Jellybean thing or something particular to this phone or what.
Ideally I'd like it to be fixed and just use Gmail but I'm open to other mail programs I guess. I tried a few and didn't care much for them though.
has anyone else confirmed this problem? this would be a problem for me when i get my baby lol
I don't normally swipe to get to the next email, I can confirm that my note 2 does suffer from this problem.
I usually just hit the back button and find the next mail. No huge inconvenience for me, but others may feel different.
I figure el Goog will fix it soon enough.

gmail issues
Oh how I would love to be able to delete permanently trash from the smartphone.
+1, same issue here
I switched over to the standard email app so I could use the "draw things with the s-pen in email" feature. I'd recommend that but sadly no one can see the pictures I draw when they receive them. Just blank squares

I do not have this problem - stock and not rooted
It seems to happen to me only coming from or going to the newest email. If I start swipe scrolling from anywhere else in the list they load fine.

I have the same problem too.
I had an issue with Gmail not sending attachments. Especially embarrassing when sending an inquiry for a job and attaching a resume. Then they don't get the attachment. Yahoo sends them just fine for me.
Receive a Gmail app update, the problem solved.

The new gmail update is pretty damn nice. Love the fact I didnt have to load a rom to get it!

Odd, because the dev listed he would fix paper artist in the next update, amongst other things. Dont you find it funny they say "no known issues" and then release updates to fix bugs?

Hi guys,
I'm curious as to whether anyone has worked out how to change the G3s default contact storing location. By default it chooses the phone, however I want it to save to my Gmail account, meaning I have to change it manually each time. It also means that if I forget, somewhere down the line I'm going to end up accidentally losing some contacts if I change phone.
Any ideas?
I chose my Gmail contacts to be displayed. When I go to add a new contact it automatically says my Gmail at the top as the place to save. Give that a try?

Yep, this worked for me. I tested it with entering in a test contact and then editing it. It showed up in my account online and changed accordingly.

Hmmm, very odd. Mine still defaults to phone. I've tried setting up numerous fake contacts in various different ways, but nothing sticks

Same Problem here always Phone
This was the same on the g2 as well
Okay, so this is peculiar then that the majority of us can't change this behaviour. Apart from the two reports above from people who aren't having this issue, is there anyone else?
I'm wondering if those that aren't having the problem have removed or frozen something or made some other change that is allowing them to change the default option?
Thoughts?

I've run Stump Root to get root, but other than that, I'm running stock. I just got my G3 2 weeks ago and I didn't think to check the contacts locations until I saw the thread posted up and made the change yesterday.
On my G2 it was defaulted to gmail contacts, as I recall, when I eventually looked in to it, it was already set.
Good luck and I hope y'all can make the change. That used to drive me nuts on my wife's phone.
Yes I have the same problem even if I change the saving location from drop list to Google, later on again the default is phone I talked to some LG Officials also but no any benefit :-s for that purposes Samsung is the best !!
Something weird has been happening lately and its not just from the latest update. When I delete an email from my lock screen(pull down > delete), they end up popping back up a few minutes later. Im not swiping or archiving, Im doing the same delete maneuver Im used to doing.
Anyone else experiencing living dead emails?

Yeah, its weird. Ill delete an email(swipe down>delete) and its gone from my screen. Then maybe 15 minutes later it pops back up again and I do the same thing. When I unlock my screen and open my Gmail, its still there, not deleted.

Thanks for trying. Its not every time, just randomly. But still annoying.
Grrrrrrr. Just happened again. Deleted like 10 emails from the lockscreen (7 gmail/3 yahoo). 2 minutes later they all popped back up on the phone and my watch.
