According to disassemble guides, its not just 2 screws but its also glued.
Why you did it by the way?
You can check the hardware on the ifixit or any other site.

I'm assuming just to see if he could
got LGOG?

Tilt 2 port indentification?

Trying to figure out what the port on the right side near the top is.......? Thought it may have been reset button's access but it turns out user has to remove battery cover to perform this. This port actually aligns with hole on inside just above reset. Anyone have a clue. Thought I saw it listed as an expansion port somewhere. Anyone have a FCC diagram?

On my TMoUSA TP2 it's the secondary-microphone, used when in speakerphone mode...so probably the same on the Tilt2....?
read page 24 of the Tilt2 manual, its the microphone.

[Q] How to tell what kind of LCD screen connector your evo has?

Hello I have a HTC evo that just got run over by a car and I need to change the LCD screen + digitizer.. when looking for a replacement on ebay I noticed there are 2 kinds of flex connectors, one is wide with 47pin, the other is narrow with 25pin. Without opening a non functional phone to psychically check which type of connector I have is there any other way to find out which kind I need?
Also does anyone know the best place to buy a replacement from a US seller?
Thanks in advance!

If you phone still starts up even tho the screen doesn't work you can figure out through adb. Since I'm out right now I can't really check so tell me if you know how to use adb or at least have it and ill look up what you have to type in later

+1 on this, know this threada bit old...but also need the info. My dog slipped the phone off the night stand and the screen crack up really bad. It's still funcional in a way...
Thanks!
Also alternative you can do is pull the battery and look for two latters at the end of the serial number and give it to the tech over the phone at *2 or at a repair shop and they can tell you if you need a wide or narrow fit.

This is to find out what screen type it has (epson vs nova), not what connector it has. The ONLY way to find out what connector it has is to open the phone and look.

[Q] Unglued cable digitizer Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Hello!
I just finish to "unglued" my digitizer cable on my note 2 ,
Please, just take a look at the picture, maybe can I do something to put it back.
Look like unglued..have you any idea if that flex cable it's glued or soldered ?
Thank you very much.
Wow.. I just did the exact same thing yesterday.. same spot on the cable and everything. I did it when I was replacing the glass.. I've tried taping it back.. and now I've tried gluing it , the touch kinda works but really inconsistent and annoying. I've spent way too much time trying to fix it and think I'm just gonna sell as parts now. What did you end up doing? Any luck getting it reattached? If you were successful please let me know what you did.

For me, was no way to put back this flex cable... and I think its close to impossible to make something good with this display.
I just stored that display ....for don't throw it.
Good luck!
this is a usual ribbon cable. i teared mine replacing the screen... will try to replace it and report back.
maybe it will require light smd oven soldering and that will suck big time. maybe i can just pressure it down somehow. your cases are much better, you still have the original cable and half of it is already soldered making it much easier to solder the rest.

thats not the same part, the part u listed on ebay is for the stylus. U can easily tell its not the same part as shown in the original post. Check out this youtube video at the 20:50 minute mark, it will show u the exact parts and u can tell. Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxgZeb5QytM
Unfortunatly the part the original poster pictured is part of the digitizer and is near impossible to fix once ripped. all ive been able to find online is that ribbon cable being sold with the digitizer itself. If anyone else actually finds the part shown in the original post please do post back.

Did you replace the combo or just the touchscreen? Did you test it before when everything hooked up before taping it to the bezel? What kind of tape did you use? You may want to post a higher resolution thumb of the area where the ribbons connect to the board.

Nope I didn't test it but I put some tape that is easy to remove so i just removed it checked all connections, nothing seems wrong. I attached some new photos (best quality i can get right now). Also I replaced the full combo lcd+touch. Thanks for the reply.

Nothing looks out of the ordinary in those pics, though I don't see how one can replace the combo without removing the boards. Can you explain that as some step in the procedure might cause this. Instead of guessing too much, let's take one thing at a time.

I can't post links so you can search youtube for "Nexus 7 Screen Replacement 2013 model, replace the glass and fix the LCD - Repairs UK" and that's how I did it. And the thing I know I'm missing is the tape he takes off at min 2:43.

Any revision number on the digitizer? I know that there are different revisions of the daughter board and that if your tablet came with a 1.3 board and you replaced it with a 1.4 board the touch would not work, but I don't know if it is the same for the touch screen

I looked at the clip, and it seems ok, except the emi tape hanging from the frame would not stick to the back of the lcd that way. I don't know that it should make a difference since yours is totally unresponsive to any touch. Same case with the missing one going on top of the touchscreen connectors.
There have been cases with other Asus models where you'd need to re-flash the touch firmware before it works. If the daughter board had been working before you replaced the screen, you can either (1) re-flash a stock rom (444 to be sure) using fastboot, or (2) if you're on custom Kitkat (I don't know about Lollipop), re-flash said firmware following the instructions HERE. Remember you have to have one of those kernels mentioned therein installed for the firmware to stick.
I don't know that the touchscreen version should make a difference since they all use the same rom wih the same touch firmware embedded. Unless the rom contains many versions that would automatically select one fitting your hardware version, in which case you should flash the official Kitkat.
Failing all the above, I'd conclude the touchscreen itself is bad. It's a rare occurrence, but has been known to happen. If you bought it from a reputable seller, you should be able to get a replacement. Don't hesitate to ask if something is unclear. Good luck.
I have the same problem. I bought two digitizers and lcd, and both times the problem is the same. I checked for a rev number on the digitizer, but with no luck. The tape I used was M3 300LSE. Already flashed 4.4.4 stock firmware on Flo kernel, but it didn't work.
I can't believe I bought TWO broken digitizers from two different sellers. I will retry the flash...
I tried to see if there is any recognizable serial number on digitizer, and I explain what I found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nex...xus-7-2013-touch-screen-unresponsive-t3035124
I'm sorry I'm posting about same issue in two different threads, i did open the other one cause I didn't see this one...

Phone keeps locking and unlocking

ZE551ML
Seems to keep locking and unlocking itself every few seconds.
Seems to be an issue in the connection between the bottom and top parts of the mobo.
Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks.

it is some issue with bottom PCB and flex cable. put isolation tape under bottom pcb. so it do not connect to metal parts. tight all the screws.
go to setting > asus smart cover untick to disable it. if issue still persists. change sim flex and bottom pcb

Thanks for the reply.
Tried with the isolation tape and it still occurs.
Ordered replacement and I'll wait for it to arrive and then ask again if needed. Thanks

when replacement arrives. first replace only pcb see if works. if not then replace flex. though lot of chances it is flex. but test them both separately so we can rule out which one is culprit. do report back results

Gonna try that to see if it works. Maybe I'll get Lineage on it afterwards if it does or whenever I fix it.
Managed to flippin hard-brick it and I don't get vibration since placing the iso tape even after removing it. FML.
Gonna wait for the mobo and flex cable to arrive then continue.
