i'm new here, be gentle with me...lol
can someone help me regarding my problem about my lumia 900...
my lumia 900 got drop and the lcd was broken. brought it to nokia service center here in our country(philippines) and they said the warranty is voided because of physical damage. but still they accepted it and said that i 'll be shouldering the repair cost. gladly my lumia is under insurance so the insurance company paid the repair cost. after 2 weeks of waiting, they called me and said that my lumia is beyond economical repair and had to pull it out, another problem is that it was shutting off by itself and btw the lcd was fixed.
when i got back home, I've plugged it to the wall charger for the whole day and it keeps on rebooting(boot loop). the next day i was shocked that it turned on. when i unplug it, it shuts off and when i plugged it back, same thing happens(boot loop). but i took a video running diagnostic tests while it was on, and all tests passed. but there's one thing that bothers me, while checking the battery status it stated that it was charging but the voltage reading is only 0.001v. could this be the problem why it would shut off by itself?is the battery broken?

Hi,
It's a long story...
My i-mate JASJAR started shutting down at 40% some time back so I took it to an authorised reseller / repair shop who diagnosed that water had seeped in (despite no such obvious history; phone has been with me throughout) and said all warranty null and void etc. I still left it for repair.
After coming back from repair, one of speakers has stopped working, flash light does not work and (inspite of my having put in a brand new battery) the battery seems to charge on its own accord / rarely!
Since the last 1 week, it has been at 0% constantly on charger-support. The minute I take it off charging, it switches off until I put in into charging again
Earlier (after coming back from the repair shop), it used to be at 0%, but when I shut down, remove and put back battery 4-5 times, it would show 2% charging and then charge up to around 86%. Then I could use the phone again till 0%, after which again I would need to perform the above complicated ritual, with no guarantee of success. I like the phone so much I am still bearing with it
Now its not even doing that
Ive almost (sorry I HAVE) given up on i-mate support persons and the local authorised dealer.
Any solutions???

bhadrish were r u from in india
i also had the samne problem but gave to imate service centre in bangalore whch is at jayanagar they repaired me at 2500 coz it had charger pin problems that does not come under warranty so u might also have the same problem that is charging pin just change it so this might be the solution
After some water damage and having dried for two days, i but in the battery and it shows as if the phone is always plugged in and charging.
Battery went from 80% to 100% while just sitting on my desk and then dropped to 12%. I tried completely draining the battery but it still does that after i've charged it a bit.
Any suggestions as to what i might do?
Sending it back is not an option, it's a unlocked T-mobile dash, and i live in canada.
Edit: Also, i googled and found nothing, one person has had the problem but he was told to send back his.
If I were you, I would take the phone apart and let it dry..
It may never completely dry out when water is trapped inside.
If it still does it after that, I would swap batteries.
After that....Ebay
This happened to me after plugging mine into a faulty charger. I swapped batteries with a friend, and confirmed that it was the phone which was fried. I ended up buying a Dash with a broken screen for cheap, swapping out the mainboard, then selling the broken mainboard/screen combo for like $20 on eBay.
So the charger port on my DHD has just gone nuts, It only charges in one position and any other position it simply refuses to charge - data also
What do I do? I can hardly get a secure charge any of the time - put it on charge overnight and woke up and my phone was dead and not charging, after wiggling it about it the orange LED lit up for half a second and then went off
Had to shove it on for it to charge and just managed to get it powered on again and the device shows no charge overnight...
Sooo, do I book this for a repair or take it to the store? the phone is rooted, eng s-off etc. did it about a year ago... am I going to have to drop this from the top floor of a shopping center to get a replacement or is this fixable?
Cheers,
James
If you have physical damage to the USB port on your phone, you may be SOL
It has no damage I can see, it just happened overnight..
And what does "SOL" mean?
Csll htc and book it for warranty repair. Here's the number 01753 218 960. They'll probably repair it under warranty. You being s-off has nothing to do with the charger port. Worst case scenario, they refuse to repair it and you've got to take it to a phone repair shop at your expense. It shouldn't be more than £40 to have a new port soldered on. Good luck.
Oh ya.... I think SOL means **** outta luck.

Hi all
My other half has just rung Vodafone to see what's going on with my non-working nexus. They said its on its way back but can not be repaired due to water ingress! I don't believe this for 1 minute, its never seen water or steam!
I have had loads of problems with this phone, soon after I got it the charging port went crazy and it thought it was on charge all the time. They 'repaired' it then when I got it back, it would not switch on. We managed to complain enough to get a replacement phone. Since then The phone sometimes didn't switch on and I had too do the USB + no battery trick to make it come to life again, and the charging port recently started playing up again, saying it was charging when it was not.
On the morning I took the phone in for repair, the battery went flat over night, but would not charge or switch on in the morning even trying the USB trick.
I still have about 12 months left on my contract so I guess they expect to give me back my faulty phone and for me to carry on paying £45 quid a month for nothing, I'm not prepared to do that at all. As an electronic engineer that has worked in customer returns departments before I don't trust Vodafone at all.
Has anyone got any advice for me before I go into the store to try and sort this mess out?
thanks
