So I've been poking around trying to figure out what's wrong with my phone, I can't seem to send MMS messages - I can receive them fine (granted I can't download them but that's because I don't seem to have service in this room) but can't send them. I saw around the forums that it might have something to do with my APN, but I don't know how to edit this on the ROM I'm running? (MIUI 2.9.11)
Is there an AT&T APN file I can download and edit on my phone?
SOLVED - I just deleted all the APNs that I wasn't using (I apparently had 3 total but was only using one) and that fixed it

hey, how did you find where the APNs are? im very confused because im having the problem you had.

A very strange thing has happened.
I noticed today that all things MMS have disapeared from my phone.
When i go into messaging all it has is TXT messages and Outlook E-Email.
Where did my MMS stuff go you ask... good question.
I know it was there after i flashed my rom, but i dont' konw how long it has been missing for now. I only found out today as someone tried to send me an MMS.
All the cab files I can find seem to only be for inputing the settings, which is kind of useless given that fact that I can't see any MMS stuff.
Have i just overlooked something is there a setting that will just turn my MMS back on.
MMMMMMMM could it be that simple.

I cannot send MMS at all ...with a correct config (addhoc GPRS connection and server profile in arc soft). don't know why...
LVSW 8/4 ..GPRS switch to correct profile icone indicate sending but never finnish...

I've config the MMS setup according to info based from this forum, Optus cabm and other sites (MTEKK), But still not working ...

I am running BE 2.0 with Optus and MMS is working fine. Did you use Walshieau operator settings cab? It has the Optus settings. You may need to edit the MMS server settings so check them after you have run the cab.

This post is NOT about MMS settings or Send/Receive problems there are stacks of threads that talk about that. Please go and post there.

I do have a full backup of the Phone with SBP but it was done after the MMS module disapeared, so probably no good.
Is there anyone that might be able to shed some light on this problem.

yeah u get that. tings r tuff all round. it happens.
try any one or more of the following
reinstall your cab file.
try to add a new from scratch and input it all from start.
hard reset ur device n rebuild
search for the create link cab file and it might re establish
restore from a previous backup
one of these will definitely fix it. suggest to prevent future occurances
be gentle to ur device
stroke it regularly
give it some gentle words occassionally
dont drop your device
dont get it wet
dont yell at it
buy it flowers occassionally
oooohhhh and yeah use backup software so you can just restore the system and move on without wasting peoples time whinging complaing and moaning over minor infrequent and incidental stuff

Thanks, do you konw where to find the cab file for Vodafone Australia.
I had a look at the provider cabs on the Wiki but it was not there.
Can you tell me where i can get it from.
I can't add a new one because i can't access the MMS settings as it is completely missing.
Other options are a last resort.

I know, I know... search... well it hasnt worked for me. Im always trying out new roms, but I have noticed that more than half of them do not have mms under messages... there is no way to set them up... so I finally realized that I can download arcsoft mms which gives me access to putting in a gateway and port and all that. I am using the correct settings but for some reason it just isnt sending or recieving picture messages, i tinker with what its gonna use to connect with and still no use. I even tried the tmobijoe2999 app to use settings and apparently its not arcsoft friendly. I have a connection set up, internet explorer and opera work great I just wish that there was some sort of cab out there that every time I flash to a new rom, I could just have the mms settings working... any help? Ive gotten it to connect and just stay at 0%, ive had it go to 100% with confirmation but the person didnt recieve the message I am not very regedit friendly but please help me out.

Where are you located, and what is your device exactly? Carrier settings may not be correct.

Im located in Flagstaff, using a cingulair 8525 with tmobile. and I am using the Normal version of the rom.
it appears ive got the correct settings from the network wizard, it is now sending the message 100%. when I send a mms to myself, it goes through, but I ever recieve it.
i believe you better off asking this sort of questions on his thread. I am sure I seen somewhere the cab/settings for it.

Actually, I just flashed my phone 4 times to 4 different roms, and each time after it customized and loaded up i pushed the envelope and all it had was text messages and setup email. I think something may be erased from my registry? and im using the 2.1 bootloader if that helps...

This may just be a issue with my contract provider (Vodafone UK) and i have asked them to look into it but.....
Has anyone had/got issues with sending/receiving MMS? I can use the internet, send nomral texts... my phone settings are as per the instructions... nope cant send.

I'm gonna bump this, because my girlfriend on Verizon here in the US is having the same problem, and I couldn't find anything in pages and pages of searching that even resembled this issue, until I came across this. So... anyone have a fix for this potential issue?
Not sure if you guys found a solution, but i had the same problem and figured it out.
Im using ATT so im not sure if its just the touch pro 2 or the rom itself but you need to:
go to all messages and go to menu
From Menu, go to Setting>Options
Once in the Options Go to that Menu. You should see a MMS Server section.
Mine was defaulted to a SampleMMSC not ATT MMS which was my problem.
But I would start there.

Alright, here's my story, after switching from Sense to CM11 when I first got my HTC One a few months ago things were working alright, then at some point I lost the ability to send or receive mms messages. I looked online and found that there were a few people with the same problem, most said the problem had to do with the apn settings, the solution to was either modified apn settings or using an alternate messaging program, such as 8sms.
Anyways, I tried several different apn setups to try and get my mms back, my LTE internet worked, but no mms. Eventually I found a setup that allowed me to send a mms to someone, but not receive one. I figured that was a good as I was going to get it.
After a few OTA nightly updates I decided to tinker with the apn settings again; my hope being that one of the new nightlies would have fixed the problem if I restored my apn settings to default. This didn't help and cost me the ability to even send mms. Needless to say I scoured the web to find usable apn settings again (I prefer to use the stock messaging app), eventually I ended up Frankensteining several together and found a solution that allowed for me to send and receive mms, as well as my LTE internet! :laugh::laugh::laugh:

I'm on the cm11 nightlies for m7vzw and did this and still can't send MMS. any ideas?

I was running a custom rom for a bit and just popped onto the pc and flashed a new rom, after that it is no longer letting me send text messages or call anyone...
I have Data and Mobile Networking, I can receive texts and I can browse the web and download apps.
I can't even see my APN settings without Tweaker and when I tried to set the APN settings it still didn't work. It is the same settings already there too.
can anyone help me fix this... I'd be really glad I can't stand this.
What ROM? And have you updated your baseband?
