So confuse, so can the AT&T SGH3 (1747UCLH9 , IMM76D) be manually unlocked?Or I have to get a code?
I was following this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1718665
But nv_data.bin is nowhere to be found in the EFS folder.
Someone help?Thank you!
If you're a customer, in good standing, AT&T will give you the code... 3 per year...

Hello all,
this is my first entry on this forum, and sorry for opening a new thread, but i'm in a hurry in order to get my new Samsung Galaxy S I9000 phone.
The problem is that is locked on ORange .
Can you please post here, how do i Unlock it myself... in order to have an original Samsung firmware and to receive any software updates?
thank you very much.
Hurry or not, READ THE FAQ!
Unless you intend to use your phone with a different operator, there is no need to unlock.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
i want to use it with other operator than ORANGE.
Can you please add some links with tutorials in order to make the phone working with all operators.
thank you
There are no tutorials or links, because you cannot unlock the galaxy s at the moment.

That's not entirely true. I unlocked my UK Orange locked Galaxy S. Just google for "NCK code samsung galaxy s". It cost me about $30 to get NCK code, but the shop I bought it from refunded me this amount. It was their fault to send me a locked phone instead of unlocked.
As for procedure of unlock... you just enter the code when you see a prompt for sim unlock code.
but if i will root it, i will not need any codes right?
i will be able to use it with any sim i want.....?

No. The SIM-lock remains after rooting and/or flashing!
soo there is not way to unlock it using a free method?
you can get unlock code here: http://cellunlocker.net/ they charge 25$ and it takes about 2 days to get you the code...

Anyone know if they would have the unlock codes for the captivate/vibrant?
All of the people in those forums that ive seen have tried unlock sites, and they ended up being refunded because an unlock code wasn't available.

Try a litle search on google Type someting like unloking phone with emei number
Th emei number of your phone you can see on configurations options information
with this code, ther are several sites that provide the unlocking code using this emei number

I have a T-Mobile Note 3 running on the latest stock rom N900TUVUFOB6 . I have rooted the phone and tried the Chainfire's Region Lock Away app but it doesn't work (I guess it doesn't work on newer firmwares and also I don't have a T-Mobile SIM)
I want to know a couple of things:
1. Can anyone recommend some reliable website where I can buy the unlock code for it. I've heard many of these websites are scams.
2. The previous owner of this T-Mobile Note 3 switched to MetroPCS and was using a MetroPCS sim in it, so now when I buy unlock code what to do I select (MetroPCS or T-Mobile) ?
I always look for the cheapest unlocker on eBay with good feedback.
metropcs is owned by tmobile so you would pick tmobile
I bought a new AT&T Note 10+ from someone and then unlocked it. I have T-Mobile as carrier. I can use it with t-mobile for general use. But I am reading there are some features that wont work even with this generation of phones. Such as VoLTE and Video Chat and may be small other features . Also Voice mail default T-mobile app wont work either.
When I search I find many people have Flashed their phones with T-Mo firmware on Samsung unlocked devices. But i could not find any reference to T-Mo downloaded on a AT&T unlocked phone.
Any suggestions. If it is possible to wipe out AT&T from it and make it a T-Mobile operating system.
Thanks.
I have a At&t Note 10+5g and running latest update from T-mobile using Frija to find the latest firmware and Odin to flash the firmware to the phone.
Download manual samfrew.com or change csc

I am thinking about doing this. Just to confirm you have a galaxy note 10+ N975U from ATT and you're getting 5G through Tmobile on Band 71?
U might want check ur model numbers as n975u is not 5g.

No I have a Galaxy Note 10 5g model number SM-N976U and I am running latest T-mobile firmware feb.security patch ATA6 and still have 5g dont know which band but 5g is definitely there and yes it's an AT&T carrier locked phone.

It's wierd because T Mobile isn't mm wave 5G, it runs on Band 71 which e n975u supports. So I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to get 975u to do 5G on Band 71.

Thanks for the fast reply!
You'll need to flash the combination firmware and use Realterm to change the CSC from ATT to TMB, I think I saw instructions for multi csc device changing, should work for your device as well.
---------- Post added at 06:03 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:51 AM ----------
Try *#272*imei# to change your csc.

Tmobile uses a mix of mmwave and band n71.
And the band 71 thing is a bit more then that. They list it as band n71.. which (after reading on it) is not setup the same as band 71. Guess you can think of it like how wifi 6 works.
The n975u and n975u1 just don't have the hardware support for accessing/using band n71
I got frustrated searching for T-Mobile SM-N976U but just got AT&T unlocked SM-N976U. Thiniking of flashing T-Mobile firmware. Thank you OP for the forum, else I would have been stuck on AT&T firmware.
Install TMB on ATT N976U

used *#272*IMEI NUMBER# the screen gave me two choices
Sales code and Network Change or
Only Network Change
I chose Sales code & Network Change
Next screen I was able to select TMB.. ( It also showed different carrier)
Once I select that the phone restarted.. I popped my T-Mobile SIM in
The screen splashed with T-Mobile..
I check the video call and worked like a charm!!!
Good Luck..

First of all, you are a gentlemen and a scholar!! all this worked
AND i like to add the following to carrier unlock your phone.
the *#272# imei # thing does work to switch back and forth from att to tmo to att.
I got att locked phone and want it to work on tmobile. A lot on swappa going for MUCH cheaper than the tmobile phone!
went here to follow link to ask att for carrier unlock code
https://www.usmobile.com/blog/how-to-unlock-your-phone-from-any-carrier/
it says you'll get the unlock code in 24-48 hours. I got it in 15 seconds. well took me longer to log in and check status!
I flashed everything per @visualpro instructions. everyhting worked except the pop...i'm on tmobile. it said invalid sim. to me that said FU, i'm carrier locked and you on tmobile. so i did the *#272 thing went back to att. rebooted and it asked me for carrier unlock code. inserted carrier unlock code that i got instantly.
it unlocked and i did the *# thing and went back to tmobile and everything is all good to go!!
This was originally a att note 10+ 5g, as you can see it's now a TMobile unit!!
That's great it all worked out!!.. My mistake that I didn't specify mine that it was already unlocked AT&T phone. That was cool when you use *#272 imei and went back and unlocked it Credit goes to user @tyrone1 for that tip!
I was simply frustrated with higher T-Mobile prices on Swappa and after searching XDA many time, got the AT&T variant. On Samsung page it would show was Galaxy Note10+ 5G 256GB (AT&T) MODEL NUMBER: SM-N976UZKAATT.. but as long I'm getting fully T-mobile features, I'm all set

That's what I was saying too. On swappa they a premium for the tmobile version. Almost 100 bucks more. I got mine for 100 less than the cheapest tmobile one and it had 2 cases and a 512 SD card for 600 bucks. I saw the regular note 10 going for 690 lol.
Love xda!!!
Do I need to enter developer mode and enable USB debugging or anything before I do these steps with the 10 plus 5g? Also got the 10 plus non 5g can I do this to skip going to u1? Can I just flash from u att to u tmo and then do the IMEI trick or do I still need to go u1 first? Thanks
Can anyone confirm which 5G bands they have got working with this switch, also looking to bring AT&T SM-N976U over to T-Mobile.
Thanks.
I found out that my 2 sim slots are unlocked but the CSC of my 2nd sim slot is not changed, the csc is set not through a .DAT file but the file is named !SVC in the root located in folder /efs/sec_efs/!SVC as this:
MTg0MDMwNzgzM0RpUg==|0|1|{"deviceVO":{"deviceID":"351828118360568","uniqueNumber":"CE022042D5E340B51F7E","serialNumber":"R5CN702ZGKN","deviceModelName":"SM-G988B","customerCode":"ATL","type":"DST","componentList":{"SVC_AP":"5242080CF4D20020","SVC_front_module":"MVNFA04FD00D402","SVC_rear_module":"SCNFC0CF4000112","SVC_rear_module2":"MVNFQ0DE2000102","SVC_rear_module3":"SCNFC0C5400AAAA","SVC_rear_module4":"PVNFP0CDA010501","SVC_OCTA":"940F113A1818E60BEC0C83","SVC_OCTA_CHIPID":"401019fA3TZ1S03BGGBR069","SVC_OCTA_DDI_CHIPID":"04AE362836","changeList":"NONE"},"fwVersion":"G988BXXUBDUI5\/G988BOXMBDUI5\/G988BXXUBDUI5","clientVersion":"6.0.00.3","rootingFlag":"Y"}}
ATL=Vodafone SPAIN so that is what ATL means!
I found the csc code ATL changed it to PHE saved it but didn't change anything in this code at service provider software version SAOMC_SM-G988B_OXM_PHE_RR_XXXX PHE/PHE,PHE/EUX/ATL, so that is why I assume that the last ATL is combined to the 2nd sim! When the last ATL in the csc code isn't combined with 2nd sim then please tell me to what it is combined.
Called yesterday to Samsung and asked them what function the last ATL after EUX stands for or hangs together with! They answered me that it hangs together with the carrier and the phone so in my opinion that makes the phone branded!
So anyone was already able to change all 4 csc code as in this SAOMC_SM-G988B_OXM_PHE_RR_XXXX PHE/PHE,PHE/EUX/ATL? So debrand the phone then the last ATL needs to be able to change as well!
Who can help me or telling me what to do by using SamKey!
I have never used SamKey and when I looked it up it seems to be able to work for all Samsung devices before 2017!
Or can someone explain me how to use SamKey!
Thanks in Advance all!
