If it comes out for the 7105 yes, you would need to flash the Tmo modem but other then that it should work. Now if it is for the 7100 then no it wont work.
7105 = international LTE
7100 = international GSM only

Im positive we will get aokp & cm10 once source is released. Our notes are too new yet, give it time. Im betting by early next year we will have something.

i was just getting ready to flash the lastest n7100 nightly and looked here again just to see.. glad i did.. would have been a pain to odin back to stock and start over.

Yea I tired flagging the nightly and it killed my baseband. I just restored from nandroid and it worked again.
It was so nice to have the speed and look of AOSP on this phone though. I really can't wait until we get AOSP ROMs or until we figure out a way to port N7100 ROMs.

port sprint jellybean offical update ?

tmobile offical update for jellybean wont be until the end of 2012, so cant we just port the official jelly bean update from sprint? cause basically the sprint gs3 and all other carriers are the same internally except for the radio. so as long as we just flash the rom without the radio, we should be good ? i have no idea. idk. just a thought
I'm sure someone will try it out soon, but I'm pretty sure you can flash Sprint and att roms no problem

I believe all the carriers have pretty much identical hw except the radios. They most likely have the same partition mapping and so its probably ok to flash anothers roms.
That said, I would NOT do this without solid confirmation. Its basically an educated guess on my part. (A day or two ago someone said they flashed a Verizon rom and it worked, but again, I wouldn't take my or their word for it alone)

Ktoonsez built his touchwiz kernel off the sprint jb source so I'm with doc on this. It's most likely safe. I'm hoping T-Mobile will release their source soon.

Someone in general clashed Sprint and Verizon ROMs just fine. The only issue was getting radios to communicate with the software. I believe they got everything working on the Sprint ROM but Verizon had extra authentication methods.

The OP could be telling the truth, but till a credible member verify this, I'll question the validity of his/her post. Still, even if it turns out to be true, It remains to be a question whether a sprint rom is flashable on ours or not.

You can flash a sprint rom just fine. will stuff not work without modification? yes, but you will not brick it.
Now, if you flash an international rom to a US variant you will brick because the partitions are different. But everything is the same on the US variants. You do have to change things in the build.prop and make other mods to make it work on GSM. The only thing bad would be if the sprint rom flashes a modem but that wouldn't even brick because you could just flash the correct modem
I also want to mention I released a straight stock port on the ATT forums. This release will work for tmo as well. You just have to change the build prob stuff to show it as a t999 instead of a i747
All the S3 from US carrier have the same hardware. It could be ported just that the radios will have to be changed. I wont doubt it if they do it :good:
OK guys no more talking, that's the official JB for the sprint version, ported for the T-Mobile
Check out. Working great on my phone.

Why is TMO Note 2 rom development non-existent?

ATT has any rom they want, tmo has nothing.
why is that?

Yes but I was wondering about aosp, aokp, and cm10 or even miui, the att version came out later than ours and they have any room they want, such a shame I can't afford att, and we only have the jedi series, but don't get me wrong jedi x kick ass

so if I just flashed at&t rom, and after that I flashed my T-Mobile radio, everything will fine or I still get a few problems with the connection etc....?
I know it will install on ours, I played with miui for a bit. I also saw good speeds. But, I wonder about intermittent issues.

[Q] Note 2 - 4.3 Touchwiz Pull

Hey all,
It's been awhile since I've posted here, mostly since I haven't been ROM swapping as much on my Note 2, since I like Touchwiz enough just to use Apex Launcher instead of a full AOSP/AOKP ROM. That being said, with Samsung "Saying" 4.3 updates for Note 2 around Nov/Dec time-frame, how soon do we expect our amazing developers here on XDA to get their hands on the Samsung pre-release source for us to load and test?
I plan on upgrading to the Note 3, but was just checking if anyone has a line on beta builds.
So the European version of 4.3 had been leaked on the S4 and Note 2. Not so patiently waiting for a sprint version.

Sprint is better than most carriers regarding updates. Not that that means much, but no one else is any more reliable or better when it comes to updates.
We'll see it when it's ready and stable. And as MDM is being pushed a lot for Samsung (Airwatch for example) expect a big change in security with 4.3. I'm expecting close to N3 security.

They removed it from the note 2 prl because there were issues. However, there is speculation that a fix is in the pipelines...let's hope so.

Beanstown "Jellybeans" rom

Another favorite rom could be incoming, no eta ofc but this is great news for those that love the aosp themed debloated tw roms. Beanstown has ported his rom to the sprint note 2 before when he had the Verizon note 2 (something I rocked forever after and not looking back). Anyways just a heads up and something very much to look forward to!
Tho i do think it's already possible to just flash the Verizon rom and use compulsion kernel to fix any hiccups, Main thing you don't wanna do is flash any other carrier rom with the radio (modem.bin) built inside, which beans does not include in his rom. Since US edition is the same thru out this is possible, just would need to flash your carrier kernel after the rom.
