Android 4.2 Apps/Wallpapers/Sounds - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I know there are several posts about this all over the place but I've been going through the recent system dump from the Nexus 4 and testing the various apps that Google has put together. I'm testing specifically for those that work right out of the box with the E4GT. When I find those that don't work I've been playing with lib files and such trying to get them to work. There are several developers and contributors who have already done some of the legwork for us so we owe them a huge thank you!
As I find more that work I'll add them here.
All but the System Sounds and Wallpapers are currently in a flashable ZIP. For those who need instructions on how to flash a ZIP file please see the directions here on my How-To page.

Only workaround I've found is jb camera + from the Play Store.

Update: I installed the new clock and didn't get any force closes while opening the app or while tapping on the widget

LOL sleep is over rated!

While testing out the clock app the only time I've gotten a force close is when the alarm you set goes off. I'm going to try a few different things in the settings to see if Dismissing the alarm by using the volume key will stop the fc
Edit: even after assigning the volume rocker to dismiss the alarm it still force closes.
Either way RW you've done an awesome job with all you've done

I think if you clear the clock app's data it stops that. Not sure, because i used the full 4.2 gapps last time i flashed. But i think when I just used the clock that is what I had to do.

For those that are interested I just uploaded the FULL 4.2 GAPPS compiled by KillDROIDHack and the 4.2 Emoji Keyboard compiled by BlindNDumb. for those of us slowly transforming our s2 in to a jelly bean (while waiting for cm10 or for the official ota in the beginning of 2013)
this is a MUST have.

Read it on some forum... Guy said he worked for tmo and the region manager or something like that was told by a Samsung fellow it would be released (at earliest) in q1.. Again take it as a grain of salt lol

Can't set any security on it, therefore this is useless to me. But as for functionality, it worked flawlessly on Darkside Evolution v8. Notification drop down did indeed work along with the camera launch.
The only thing I dont like about these lockers is that pressing the home button from the lockscreen unlocks it, I saw an option on this locker to disable that, but it ended up disabling the home button completely

Nice find, but it doesn't even have music controls show up. I think I'll stick with the AOSP lockscreen mod for now.

When you're viewing the finished 360° image, touch the screen to bring up the overlay. There is a sharing button with a logo or drop-down list when touched. Simply touch the maps logo and it takes you to the Maps sharing interface.

[ROM][LJC] Why Not v1.0 New Updates 11/24/12

I present you with Why Not v1.0
Hello all, I have been theming, tweaking, and compiling ROM's for myself since the OG Droid on Verizon.
I have never really posted any full ROM's up for public use before just some themes, tweaks, and mods. But seeing there is not a ton of ROM's out for the Note II (yet) I thought I would post the one I made and have been running for a few days.
This is the ROM for the person who likes the stockish look/feel but with a few extra things tossed in
Whats included...
LJC Base
De-Odexed
Lots of bloat removed
360 Rotation in framework
TW launcher 4x5 home & 5x5 drawer with scrolling wallpaper
No boot or shutdown sounds
Custom boot and shutdown animations
1% battery mod with circle honeycomb icon
Camera sound toggle enabled
Camera while on call enabled
init.d support with tons of performance/speed script
(still testing and some may be pulled)
Solid black status bar
4-1 reboot option
Android 4.2 keyboard
Gmail 4.2
Extra ring/notification tones
Adobe
Most Play Store apps removed
Worked gps.conf file (as close to an instance lock as you can get)
MultiWindow mod to include all apps
Removed the "tint/shading" from notifications in the left side of the notification bar

I would like to say thank you to the following for helping me make this happen...
Google (for starting this whole Android thing we all seem to like)
Samsung (for the Note II)
joshbeach (for the LJC boot.img, and 4-1 reboot)
Androguide.fr (for some scripts used)
-viperboy- (for posting the link to grgsiocl guide)

Ugh! I do like avatar and would love to see that work out for ya but until it does you are doing great (as well as the rest of our devs) at keeping us something to use/tinker with.
Holy crap. This ROM is amazing so far. Haven't done much testing but its very very fluid.
Data connected fine. WiFi signal is strong. Can't test lte. But I can even send MMS over WiFi which is really friggin cool. Running at a DPI of 280. Phone feels huge.

I have the unknown baseband too but who cares.... This ROM is amazingly smooth. I kept trying the cm10.2 build because its the most stable for my phone so far but the performance is lacking compared to stock. This sabermod stuff makes a difference I think. About to bench and see where it sits
Not bad! Stock kernel settings. Keep in mind my phone hits low 17k on cm10.2 stock kernel settings.
Getting closer!

Slim is another beast in itself. There is no trebuchet only stock android launcher. Nova is baked in... Its fast and almost like stock with the options you desire

Oh gotcha. Well it defiantly is a good ROM. I uninstalled Nova. Never really seen the hype with that. Overall pretty damn good!
One option I will say I do miss is the torch toggle lol

Question, where are the options for the notification area quick settings? I can't seem to find them. Not the ones when you hold the power button down, but when you 2 finger swipe the status bar
