I'm on ParanoidAndroid 2.53 on i747 and my GPS only works for some apps? For example it works for foursquare and not for any running app I have (Nike or others). What can I do ???
They are allowed to use my location within settings but I dont know if its this rom in particular or what?

ok did a factory reset, even did a clean install of another custom rom (AOKP) and apps like nike running or runkeeper CANT get a GPS signal
it might seem like a pretty idiotic thing but I want to keep using nike running app to keep up with my running data ! any and all help will be appreciated

I've had my phone for over a month now running stock 4.0.2. I think I'm ready to flash my phone using the toolkit. Before I start, I have a couple questions.
1. Can I always go back to stock?
2. Should I even flash it? Stock ICS is pretty good don't you think?
3. Last question, I know its a bit opinion base, I'm looking for a rom thats really fast, good battery life, and stable. Any suggestions would be a good first rom for a newbie?

2) custom roms give you more tweaks and performance
3) AOKP has the most functionality and TONS of options, but i'd prolly start with gummynex.
I have some questions for you.
Do you know how to get back to stock?
Do you know what to do if you encounter a bootloop?
Do you have fastboot and ADB on your computer?
If you answer NO to any of those questions, then my answer is to stick with stock ICS.

1. I think so, my phone kept rebooting. I put the stock google in the toolkit and flash it to stock. so if its the same as that then yes i can go from custom rom to stock ics

liquid smooth if i understand the question
no errors its liquid smooth then you look theres no signal and in about phone it says unknown if i remember correctly

I meant the version of Clock Work Mod which you use to flash the ROMS. You need to do some more reading if you still can't figure what is CWM..

yup and watch for any error's while flashing. Are you sure you were on ICS and what was the baseband it was showing then ?

Just flash the jb rom and kernel. Reboot and see if you get the network. If not then revert to your ICS, until you can try again and provide logcat..

I would suggest you to stick to ICS for now, as no baseband can be quite major issue. Search the forums to find out how to provide logcat...
I would also suggest a backup of the EFS before you play anymore with flashing ROM's etc. There is a sticky in the dev threads for the same.

Before you flash are you wiping data, cache, and dakvik, and formatting system? These are required.

I'm an apple user turned Android so if appreciate a very ready method of doing it. ..all I know about my phone is that I see clockworkmod around when I try to do att updates....any help is much appreciated

Since your phone already rooted all you nee now is rom to flash. Theres a lot of custom roms under android development section to choose from.

Wow my post made no sense ...what I was trying to say is that I want it back to stock everything. My keyboard isn't auto correcting I dunno if thats just a feature of android or because mine is rooted. . Thats what I'm trying to fix.

I'm pretty sure the stock keyboard doesn't auto correct. You can look in the themes and apps section, they have some in there. Or download a different keyboard. That's the great thing about Android. Try SwiftKey. I find it to be the best

Like others have said you need to get a stock ROM and flash it to get everything back to stock. You can download the original stock jelly bean keyboard if you'd like. Where did you buy this rooted phone?

as mentioned theres already a lot about this around the forums... quick search is all that was needed.

Looks like you have the same phone I have (T-Mobile S4 SGH-M919), I want to install a clean and unbranded version of the ROM, I dont know whats happening but my phone is always low of memory, so I have to install Cleaner Master (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cleanmaster.mguard) to clean the memory every time I unlock the screen, but this is a S4 not a old Samsung phone and I dont think I have to use apps like that to keep the phone running smothly.. Before the S4 I had a Note2 and S3 and I never got problems like this and the S3 just have a 1 RAM, Any ideas?

I have my phone rooted and with ClockMod Recover installed correctly.
I was thinking just go to sammobile to found the i9505 ROM and then install with Odin or ClockMod. How I can identify which is the right ROM to download?

MY Sig, Omega Rom, the best International ROm out there, after that, flash ktoonsez kernel immediately after flashing the rom, and your good to go. Easy Answer.

Yes but you have to immediately flash a kernel that is compatible with T-Mobile. There are threads you can search for which list the compatible kernels.

What? Odin? you do not use that to flash custom roms. Are you rooted with a recovery installed yet?

I got clockworkmod recovery installed and also I have my S4 rooted:
Can I install the Stock Samsung Germany Rom for GT-I9505 (I9505XXUBMEA that allow to move apps to SD) and then install the kernel for T-Mobile?
I really hate to have only 600mb free in my s4 16gb and I cant move apps to SD. Also I dont know if everyone have the same issue but I have installed Cleaner Master app to clean my memory everytime I unlock my phone because I always run low the ram memory and I hate that too.. I had a Note 2 before the S4 and I didnt have this problems and I have the same apps installed in my S4. Its there a problem with the T-Mobile version or thats normal in the S4, Any Solutions? I really need help

You might want to check into /data/media/clockworkmod. That would account for you having almost no space on your internal storage...

Thank You All for the excellent help, I've wanting to flash this ROm and I just did,(T-MO M919) very smooth, hardly any lag. excellent WiFi connectivity. Thank you again DEV's and Senior Members on all the hard work, keeps this Hobby exciting and risky fun.

This has worked wonderfully for me,
i find that it wont connect to data untill i go into the dialer and enter *#*#DATA#*#* once
so far no bugs that i can tell.......:fingers-crossed:
will report after i take it for a spin.
and do you mind if i post a link for this rom in the Sprint LG G2 Dev section? or maybe have the Mods move it to the right section?

Issues found
Okay been running this for about a week now and this is what I found so far:
-MMS doesn't work, I receive notifications for them but never download
-Wifi and bluetooth are buggy, toggles from the Quick Settings menu tend to get stuck after 2-3 toggles and require a reboot to fix
-Dialer doesn't pick up touches sometimes
-NFC gets stuck in on position and causes massive wakelocks. I ended up disabling NFCService and Tag Service to stop the issues
-Mobile Networks Section has GSM settings in it
-Flash seems disabled in AOSP Camera app
-Rotation issues like other AOSP roms
Besides that though the ROM is surprisingly usable for being one of the few roms available for the Sprint G2, I would definitely like to see your build code since it looks 90% in working condition.
I flashed and it booted and stuck on carbon logo.
Am I missing the gapps file?

Yes but it should work without gapps go into the Verizon PA 4.3.1 and get those gapps. Did you wipe?

usually the culprit of not wiping. its a given that you need to wipe every time you switch roms especially from stock to custom rom.
Just wiped and successfully flashed this ROM... so far awesome!
Still missing a few things that i'm thinking the 4.3.1 Gapps file will fix.. So can anyone provide me the link to download that file??? pleeasse!!

Normally I get really ticked off with people saying to Google it, but seriously, it's freaking Gapps....It's literally the easiest thing to find in the entire Android development universe. I Googled 5 letters, and it was the very first thing that came up, or second(if you want goo.im directly).....

Thanks to those that helped me out... I have a new g2 and wanted to install the right file. I have no idea what a gapp file is, let alone what it does. Better be safe than sorry.
Anyhow, the link I provided worked for those that are in my boat.
