So I just bought a 32GB SD card to use with my Galaxy 3. I have been reading articles but I haven't found one that works for me. I have tried Link2SD, Move2SD, Directory Bind (cant get it to install). I am running the Telus version of JB and I am rooted.
How can I move my games and stuff to the external sd card? Thanks!
Look through development and general. I think i saw a solution to moving apps to sd somewhere

Can you please provide a link? I looked and I haven't stopped googling either. To make it worse I started getting insufficient space error so I deleted 6gb worth of games off my phone and it still keeps giving me the error. -sigh
Get off jelly bean. Problem solved.

hello
i run vzw gnex on 4.2.1 mmuzzy rom (just makes it aosp) and when i upgraded to 4.2.2, i believe my file structure on SD card is not working
there is a root folder now (for the sd card) but in the root is a folder called 0, which has the root folder from my 4.2.1 install and if i plug it into the computer, im unable to mvoe files out of the 0 folder or copy and i have no idea how to switch root folders for the sd card, which means ive lost all my data
if anyone can assist, it would be greatly apprecaited
thanks!
I sense this topic has been covered before.....about a million times ..hmmmmm
Just when you thought something was covered ad nauseum, a thread like this comes along.

You can move your data with root explorer /DATA/MEDIA
To folder 0
0 is meant user profile...

This isn't a support forum and this very thing has been covered a million times. Just use the search button and you would find it. Nobody here is going to hold your hand while you sit there and do nothing for yourself.

It is along with the 682 other threads exactly like this one...
Your problem isn't new and you're not the first person to notice this. 4.2.2 has been out literally for months and this is a WELL documented issue.
This is why you're getting snarky remarks instead of assistance.
It's not a bug, it's a feature.

why are people being so unnecessarily nasty? you could just say "there are plenty of threads about this, just search" instead of condescending demeaning comments, which benefit no one.

On that note, you may want to peruse the forum rules stickied at the top of this forum, because the very first one covers this situation.
This is not a support forum for those too lazy or inept to do their own due diligence (not necessarily including you in that generalization). You're expected to put a at least a minimum effort into finding the answer- it really isn't that hard. There is no entitlement to being spoonfed readily available info that you are more than capable of finding with just a minimal amount of effort.

In a perfect world, you'd be absolutely spot on. The responses you've gotten aren't necessarily directed at you as an individual. Rather, you're seeing the cumulative frustration from the same thing happening over and over again.

the comments do benefit everyone.
the search button is something you should use (as its in the forum rules). you failed to do this, and this is not a new issue.
And in the future I will look first

Hi there,
I am using Frosty Jellybean v8 rom on my T-Mobile Note 2. After 32gb sandisk micro sd card failure, I decided to buy a 64gb Samsung micro sd card. Unfortunately, I've faced with some problems, too. For example, my stock gallery app can reach pictures over my micro sd card but if i try to reach them with same gallery app or any other pic/video viewer inside of another application (instagram, ps touch), i can not! I tried to reformat my card from exfat to fat32 but no change. I suspected if it is about the Rom and asked same question on frosty rom thread but no answer again. I did not try my 64gb samsung micro sd card over any other rom, yet.
Do you have any idea, what could be the problem?
Thanks in advance.
Ken
Nobody faces with same/similar problem?
Good Lord man there are so many 64gb questions threads made here on this very same forum every day. I am sure someone had answered this. We read the same questions day after day after day. Please please search. Even search Google

It may be the method/program of which you're doing it, seeing as there's alway good programs and bad. The program that was recommended to me was easeUS partition master. It's worked for me when doing it through the default windows partition manager failed. Also if it doesn't work try reflashing the rom after a full wipe. Might be a bad Download. Give it a try and let me know if it worked or not!

Every time I fry to flash a new Rom I can't find it on my drive even though it is definitely there. I've been flashing since my G1 and have never had this problem. I suppose I could use Odin but u don't want to. Anyone else see this?

An obvious one, but check to make sure which storage you're using, internal / external...?

Broke the screen on my Note 2 and just got the replacement from Asurion. The last time this happened to me I went through the stock setup process and all of my apps were downloaded automatically. This time no such luck. I tried resetting the phone again but that didn't work. It is really annoying to have to manually download all 200 apps. Any way to force the auto install process.?

Good question. Same happened to me. I only had trial version of helium at the time unfortunately so I couldn't just restore everything. Really glad I had my app data though... Good luck.

I haven't looked into it too closely, it seems random to me- sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't(I'm always happy when it does). I don't know if there is an apk or some functionality that some devs leave in and some take out of their roms.... or else if it is just kind of random. But I always do choose the backup and restore options when signing into the market.
