[Q] Liquid Rom-Messaging vibrate when on a call - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Did a search and nothing came up for this. I am running Liquid Rom RC 5 and in the messaging app settings I have "Vibrate on Call" checked, but never get a vibrate for a new text when I am on a call. I have noticed this doesn't work with each AOSP/AOKP rom I have used. Anyone have any thoughts on how to fix this or is it a bug for now?

Receiving SMS messages after phone call and/or missed call

Is there a cab that can disable the SMS msg I get after a phone call or missed one?
And yes, I have searched high & low for a solution on this site & can't find it.
Thanks!
So, my situation is unique? No one else has had this issue?
It's not an sms message.. it's just a pop up... and its dependent on what rom you are using really on how you turn on and off your notifications. If you are running a custom rom like Energy or something go to their thread and ask how to disable the particular notification.
usually its settings\sounds and notifications\ then go to the notifications tab and in there you can change what your phone does for different events.

You want to turn off the "missed call" icon on the task bar? I don't recall anyone requesting this before...

No, he wants to turn of the message that comes in with details about the missed call (date/time).
The missed call notification was off. Actually, it shows as a SMS message with the phone number that called or the call that I made. It definitely seems like a ROM issue - just flashed to Jackos' (so far perfect IMO) ROM & haven't had that issue at all. Thanks - I think I've found the solution.
Hey guys, the damn notification is back again! What the hell is that?
Are you using Youmail for your Voicemail?

Cyanogen Mod not vibrating on notifications

I jump around from ROM to ROM. Lately, I've gone from CM7 to CM9 back to CM7 Kangs and then back to the latest CM7.2RC1.
On that last transfer I lost the ability to get vibrating notifications with SMS/MMS/Gmail et cetera.
I searched high and low for the answer and here it is: download the free app Soundmanager (original or v2) on the market. In the app go into the vibration settings and adjust.
This frustrated me to no end for a week until I found this fix on another forum.
Don't know if you are able to do it but when I go in my girls INC2 messaging app I hit menu> settings> notification settings and in there should be your vibration settings. Hope this helps.

yeah, I've been using GoSMS, and all the notification settings were set up appropriately
Thank you for this, this is exactly the problem I was having and exactly the solution I needed

I'm having this problem on my GNexus. I flashed CM9 and it works great so far, but I wasn't getting notifications. Today I noticed that when I hold down the power button and put it in vibrate the icon goes right to silent. Same when I turn the volume all the way down, and when I select vibrate from the sound settings menu. I'll try the solution above, but its kind of a serious bug IMO.
I noticed that it won't vibrate unless it is set to vibrate and ring in the notification widget.

Should be an option in profiles on cm7 to set an override for that, didn't have cm9 on long enough to remember but I think it did too.

There is a very appropriate approach to this issue.

Get to Messaging (SMS) Press Touch Menu key (The left most key on your front -Defy MB525) get to settings and scroll down to see the fishy thing
Though we have set the profile and notification to vibrate it does only with calls and may be with few other things but not SMS / Notifications atleast....
So the message settings... find Notifications > Vibrate is set to never > change as you prefer..!
So once again..
Messaging > Settings > Notifications > Vibrate (Never) - Default change as you choose...! Way to Go!!!
Hello all!
This weekend I finally mod my smartphone and guess what!? no vibration on notifications!!
I tried every single combination of the sound settings and the notification settings under messaging, and still doesn't work, incoming calls vibrate but not the notifications.
After almost a year after the last post in this thread, is there a fix for this issue?

[Q] Leedroid -Incoming call stuck at lockscreen

Hi all,
Flashed LeeDroid V6.4.0 onto my clean OX last night and have been really impressed with how it works, but I have a problem with incoming calls.
When the phone starts to ring, it activates to the lockscreen where I have to unlock the phone and enter my pin before it allows me to see who's calling or answer the call.
I removed Sense and went with Nova launcher, and I've also activated AOSP Lockscreen. If I deactivate the AOSP lockscreen and run with the regular Sense lockscreen, this problem is not apparent.
Is this a bug anyone else has or is it just a question of re-flashing?
Many thanks for the awesome work,
Paul

[Q] No vibration alert for SMS

Hi,
Strange problem with my note 2.
My phone doesn't vibrate when receiving a text message...
I can't see any settings to change when the phone should vibrate or not when on silent.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Andy
weird innit....
in the messaging app, go to settings and scroll down, under "notification settings" you can enable vibrate
Seems to be a bug
I have the same issue, but it is only an issue when the screen is off. If the screen is on, the vibrate feature works as the settings I have indicate it should. It appears to be a bug.
Searched high and low and there isn't a fix that I could find, so I just used Tasker (app) to set the phone to vibrate whenever a text message is received. Does the trick, now it vibrates on SMS receipt whether the screen is on or off.

I have the same issue on my T-Mobile Note 2 running a ported international ROM. It's driving me insane! :crying:
Thanks for the idea with using Tasker. I'm going to give that a try until I find an updated ROM release.

[Q] Vibration/sound mode and data connection

Hello everyone, after searching for hours I couldn't find an answer to my problems.
Firstly, when I put my phone in "vibrate only" it does nothing. So I looked in SMS app setting and checked "Vibrate with notification", then vibration started working in vibrate mode BUT the phone also vibrates when in "Sound mode". My question is: is there a way to get it working like before, vibrate mode vibrates only and sound mode emits sound only? I'm not the only one with this problem but still couldn't find solutions. (by the way I already did a factory reset since I thought the problem was with a custom rom)
Also, the stock rom won't send MMS if mobile data is switched OFF, you have to manually turn it on, send (or receive) MMS and turn it back off. I actually came across a custom rom which turned mobile data ON automatically when you try to send or receive a MMS and turn it off after, but I can't remember what rom it is. I think it was Task's 650 4.3 but this option stopped working for an unknown reason (maybe an update?) The setting I'm talking about is often called "Always receive MMS" correct me if I'm wrong. Has anyone else seen that feature with their S3 with some custom rom?
Thanks in advance
edit: I just flashed The Collective latest rom and the Vibration/Sound issue is corrected, no feature for auto data switch though
