Voicemail not working?

I just activated the calller ID display and voicemail on my phone, but I can't listen to my messages... when I long-press 1 on the phone it just calls my number and says I'm busy and ask me to leave a message , like it would do for anyone calling me. Do you know ehre this problem comes from?

If you just activated new features it may be related to your account. Call your carrier and see if its on their end. Thatd be my first step.

I went to the store abd they told me it was software related, and of course they blamed CM10..

How to force 4g after jellybean update

Whats the dial code I need to punch in in order to access the menu? Ive tried the #*#*4636*#*# but it doesn't work.

Phantom voice mail?

How do I get rid of it?
Some googling told me I needed a second non android phone but I don't have one. It's there another method to get rid of it??
Also I am having another problem
On the msg and chubz Rom my time doesn't fully show

Try calling from another phone and leaving a voicemail. Then check your messages. Usually gets rid of my phantom icon

What do you mean they don't get through? Like you can't call and leave a voicemail or you can't call and listen to them?

If you want to get rid of phantom icon and all messages have been heard!
Nq Battery Manager.....after go to optimize and walla, GONE!

There was no app with that exact name
But there were two that were similar
One with a blue icon and one with a green icon
I tried optimize in both
I still had phantom voice mail

when i had the evo4g and had the phantom icon, calling vm from another phone, leaving a message, waiting for it to show up, then calling from own phone & listening to the message, then delete it. then make sure all other messages are a listened to, also.
if you call your own number from another phone & do not get your voicemail, then it might be time to check with your provider.

After checking apparently no one can leave me voice mail

Try going back to a stock rom and do hands-free activation through the dialer. Also update PRL and profile

Did you try it? did it work?

Curious to know what ROM you are running. I think the only time I got this was when I was running CM10 or CM10.1
It didnt seem to appear on AOKP or anything based off stock ROM

Can't send mms completely stock

I can't send any picture messages, I have a tmobile locked s3, not rooted or anything, please help. I've tried resetting the apn and everything, rebooting the phone etc.

Were you able to send mms before? Try sending while wifi is on and off.
It could be a network issue too. Does it say 4g in the status bar?
Call support to see if tgey have any problems on their end.
If not, you could backup all your data and factory reset. Other than that I'm not sure right off hand.

I have 4g, full bars, I tried with and without Wi-Fi, tried resetting the apn, even though I didn't mess with it in the first place. I don't get it.

Are you sending it with stock MMS app? And are you sure you can properly connect to the internet?

Yes everything is stock, I have data because I'm using 4g to use Facebook, web, and currently this xda app.

This is a total shot in the dark, so try if you want to.
Power off
Remove battery
Remove SIM
Replace SIM and battery
Reboot
I know it sounds strange. But stranger things have worked!
I still think calling support and finally factory resetting is your best option.

Too bad I didn't see this sooner!
I have had that problem on 3 different occasions....
The simplest and always the only fix was:
Called my provider (T-Mobile)
Asked them to remove me from the network, and re insert me (my phone, that is)
Removed the battery, waited 3-5 min
re-installed the battery, and booted.
sent a mms picture to myself, and Got it!
no real work on my end. It seems the re-insertion to the network is the "Fix" that makes it work.

This why Doc said to call his provider. They should've done this if he called.

On the online chat with tmobile.. if course they want to make me try the hundred things I already tried..

I'd call back and tell them exactly what you read from bobo above. Tell em you looked up the problem online and saw several places that said the same thing. Ask for a supervisor if they still won't try.

Activate the phone

I have s3 it is just I spare one right now but I try to activate the phone in one of the line
I called sprint to activate and then told me to go in setting try to update prl and profile in system update well I can't find the whole system update option then he told me to punch ##101078# to go in edit mode to activate manually but still I can't go in manual mode just help me some one

Well that's why the codes don't work. They only work for stock. Flash stock rooted. Aosp doesn't support any of these codes.
