[Q] Broke my phone - HTC One X

Hi guys,
I know there are a lot of threads with this subject and i'm trying for 4 days now. It al happend when i flashed renovate 7.0.0 just android, so no sens. When i was rebooting it just crashed everytime... So I tryed to restore my backup, still the same problem. I mount my sdcard en put numerolight rom on it, and my screen freezes on htc one x in bootanimation, for about 2 minutes en it reboots hisself, over and over again...
I tryed Ruu but i just cant get it working. not even when i get boot-signed and system.img out of the rom.zip i get a error when i try fastboot flash system system.img So i dont know what to do... Do i need to lock my bootloader before flashing system.img????
Some more info:
CID = E_11
Hboot = 0.43
S-onn
Radio = 1.1204.90.13
Clock work mod
Vodafoon NL

RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.26.401.2_Radio_1.1204.90.13_release_251208_signed
ruu_endeavor_u_ics_40_htc_europe_1.29.401.11_radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260491_signed_c9d22
So if someone would help me would be great!! Maybe i've got the wrong ruu, i dont know it anymore!!

Okay if you want to stay on custom ROM then:
- go recovery
- wipe data/factory reset
- mounts and storage -> format system
- wipe dalvik, cache
-flash ROM (numerolight)
-flash boot.img

problem after install zip

HI all super place this is would like a little help if possable
iv got a sony arc s can root and load in to recover mode but when i try to install any rom from zip it will do all the normal stuff then says reboot ..
after that it just sstays on the sony logo does not go no more no matter how long i leave it ... can you help me in this am i doing some thing wronge :fingers-crossed:
flash the supporting kernel
PLZ SPECIFY WHICH RO YOU HAVE INSTALLED
if you are using a custom rom then IT IS NECESSARY TO FLASH THE KERNEL FOR THE SAME!!!
Eg:- if using ics based rom the flash a kernel for ics, if using cynogenmod the flash the kernel for that..etc
also clear cache, wipe data and dalvik cache using CWM..
_______________________________________________________________________________________________
**IF YOU THINK I HELPED THEN SHOW IT BY PRESSING THE THANKS ICON**:good:
If you want to flash the custom kernel, you should unlock bootloader first.
If your bootloader is unlocked, first flash the custom kernel (ics/jb/gb) thru fastboot that supports the ROM you are installing.
After flashing the custom kernel, wipe user data, wipe cache partition, advanced-> wipe dalvik cache and flash the ROM. Reboot the phone.
hi thanks for your replys
im trying to install
Original Xperia T ICS Rom v5.0 for ARC/ARC-S based on (4.0.4) 587 [9th-Oct-2012]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746508
mybe a step im doing wronge im not shore follow it step by step
3.1- wipe factory date <<<< does not show this where is this or is it called soem thing els
3.2- wipe cache partition
3.3- wipe delvik cache
3.4- wipe system <<<< does not show this where is this or is it called soem thing els
i see
reboot otions
install zip from sd
apply /sd/update
factory reset
wipe cache partition
backup restore
mount storage
advanced
power off
in advance
reboot recovery
wipe dalvik cache
wipe battery stats
reboot error
key test
show log
partition sd card
fix permissions
that all that in recovery
?
Its in detail!!
THAT'S an ICS rom from xperia t
FROM that post it's clear(text copied from the post)
STEPS ARE QUITE CLEAR AND STRAIGHT FORWARD
How to install.... please do all step as i am describing
Step-1) Download & Flash the kernel From here available in downloads
Quote:
Step-2) Please download Xperia Arc-S 4.0.4_431 ftf pack from here only and flash it through flash tools , in Arc and arc-s both , FTF is available in downloads
Flash every thing from ftf pack just exclude two things
1. simlock.ta
2. Kernel.sin
do not flash these two things, after flash power up your phone and let it start completely, now copy rom zip into SD card , and reboot your device into recovery
Why you need to do this ???
It will give you 440-MB internal memory and 419-MB System Rom memory
If you already have these memories then you can skip this step
3) go into recovery and wipe these things
3.1- wipe factory date
3.2- wipe cache partition
3.3- wipe delvik cache
3.4- wipe system
4) now flash my rom after flash reboot your phone and wait for 60 seconds
5) Tick unknown source, then reboot it recovery again and flash the Xperia T lock-screen mod
6) reboot and enjoy do not wipe data after this for more info read recommendations
Click to collapse
AGAIN FOR YOUR BETTER UNDERSTANDING
**YOUR BOOTLOADER MUST BE UNLOCKED AND YOU MUST HAVE THE KERNEL INSTALLED PROVIDED IN THAT POST
**YOU MUST install THOSE FTF files excluding (THIS STEP IS DONE IN ORDER TO INCREASE THE INTERNAL MEMORY CAUSE XPERIA T ROM REQUIRE A HIGHER VALUE OF INTERNEL MEMORY WHICH IS BY DEFAULT NOT PRESENT IN ARC/S)
1. simlock.ta
2. Kernel.sin
**NOW GO INTO RECOVERY
3.1- wipe factory date ==factory reset
3.2- wipe cache partition
3.3- wipe delvik cache
3.4- wipe system ==MOUNT and storage>format/system
**THEN install the rom (the zip file) via install zip from sdcard
then step 5,6
I THINK I MADE IT QUITE DESCRIPTIVE NOW AND YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO INSTALL THAT ROM
BTW YOU MUST POST THIS PROBLEM IN THAT THREAD ITSELF SO THAT OTHER PERSON WHO IS FACING THE SIMILAR PROBLEM OR HAVE OVER-COME THIS PROBLEM CAN HELP FOR SURE!!!

[Q] Phone Dont Work After Flashing CM10

Using CWM Bootloader works fine and recovery aswell so I tried to back my HTC Sense+ nandroid backup and i am wiped every thing before but I'ts steel doesn't bootup does i need to flash Sense Boot.img ?
You need to flash the boot.img that is delivered within the rom.zip.
What hboot version do you have ? If you are on the JB hboot i suggest you try CM10.1
ok

I know now why CM10 didn't boot, because it needs a modified boot.img !
Icecoldjelly.....pretty much the same as any other Rom
Put the phone in the bootloader and flash the boot.img from the rom
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
Enter the recovery and put the rom.zip on the sdcard (mount as usbdrive)
Then perform a full wipe
Factory reset, wipe cache,dalvik cache
Format cache,data, system
Then install the rom.zip and gapps if it has it !
ok

How can I move IceColdJelly from my computer to the phone without boot ?
You must mount the internal sdcard as a usb diskdrive, you have the option inside the recovery. What version do you have ?

[Q] tried Flashing and a new ROM >> BOOT LOOPS

Hello, i tried to put a new rom on my phone.
First i unlocked the bootloader with One_X_All-In-One_Kit_v2.3. that worked. Then i loaded CWM ( v 5.8.4.0) on my phone (that works).
Then i downloaded the cm-10.1-20130331-NIGHTLY-endeavoru. Put that one on my SD card, extracted the boot.img. used fastboot and it commands. Installed it and gapps-jb-20120726-signed too. Did the wipes. But the phones keeps hanging at the HTC logo and doesnt boot anymore. If i hold the power button it just reboots en hangs. I can get into HBOOT ( 1.39.0000)
RADIO-5.1204.162.29
eMMC-bootmode disabled
CPU-bootmode disabled
And yes i was so stupid not to make a back first....
Re: [Q] tried Flashing and a new ROM >> BOOT LOOPS
You need to install the vendors installer too
http://db.tt/u5FF3jgi
So its full wipe then install
Cm10.1
Gapps
Vendors
Will i tried it again with the Android Revolution HD 19.2, the phone booted now past the HTC quietly brilliant logo but hung at the HTC ONE Beats Audio logo. Started it up again..and it boots. BUT the screen doesnt respond anymore? I cant type my pincode...?
Well tried the CM 10.1 because my screen didnt seem to work with the Revolution version.....did all u said above....We are back to square one, the phone hangs at HTC quietly brilliant logo.

You must flash the vendor installer .zip after installing cm10.1 and gapps.
By the way there is a newer gapps for this rom : http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip

Re: [Q] tried Flashing and a new ROM >> BOOT LOOPS
Then you might be forgetting something to wipe ?
Factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Advanced - wipe dalvik cache
Mounts & storage - format cache, data, system
Then install the CM10.1, Gapps, Vendors (without rebooting !!!)
Head down to the bootloader, type this in the command window :
Adb reboot bootloader (at this point you are still in the recovery)
Then flash the boot.img again.make sure you override the right boot.img to the fastboot folder !
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot reboot
If you do it like this it must boot up normally.
Edit : David, please stop repeating me in posts ..... its starting to get annoying. I already told him to install the vendors . Thank you.

Hi, I have a big problem. I tried to flash new ROM to my ONE X, everything went great, I can connect to Wi-Fi, but I can't reach any of webpages. All other programs doesn't work on internet too.
This ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2027029
And I was using this guide: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-unlock-root-install-a-custom-rom-on-your-htc-one-x/
I don't know what to do How can I get back to original Android version? I thought my battery life with this ROM will be better, bet no internet..Please help
Sure you performed a full wipe before you installed the rom and flashed the boot.img via fastboot ?
Which recovery did you use, type and version number please ?

Thank you for fast answer. Yes I'm sure I did full wipe before flashing boot.img
I am sorry, I'm not so good at this. Where I can find type and version number?
Usually inside the recovery. But we can try it over 1 more time, maybe it helps
Flash this recovery (rename to recovery.img)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/yqzlpqo8illa53j/Philz recovery 5.15.9.img
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Flash the boot.img from the rom :
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
Disconnect the usb cable and enter the recovery, perform a full wipe :
Factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Advanced-wipe dalvik cache
Mounts & storage-format cache, data and system
Now install the rom.zip and reboot
Check if it's fine now, or maybe reset your router once.....
OMG, you're the best!! Thank you so much! Working! :good:
Nice !

[Q] HTC one x bootloop error can enter recovery

Hello, I have a problem. My HTC one X cant boot with any rom.

I originally went through a lot of roms until I was happy to stay on CyanogenMod (can't remember which version)
recently it said there was a stable update so I downloaded it, flashed and it wouldn't get past the bootloop. In my fear and stupidity I wiped my phone without taking a backup of the version that was working on my phone, I reflashed the recovery to many different versions that wouldn't even allow me to open the phone up to USB. Thankfully I've got a version of clockworkmod touch recovery that allowed me to open it again, but every rom I try to flash on now it still sticks on the bootloop. I'm even fastbooting the image over.
The ClockworkMod Recovery version that I'm using (which is working) is v5.8.4.0
So, what am I missing, is this absolutely broken now or is this fixable?
Thank you.
Flash the boot.img from the new rom, enter the recovery and make a full wipe, then install the rom.zip

So I went to do a full wipe, including cache and dalvik cache, and it came back with
E:unknown volume for path [/sd-ext]
Dalvik wiped
Do you think this may be part of the problem?
I followed through and installed as you said and it didn't come back with any other errors and said install from sdcard complete. I rebooted and waited but it's still just sitting on the HTC quietly brilliant screen.
The rom I tried was cm-10.1.2-endeavoru
Try a sense 5 rom, and yes that error is normal and nothing to worry about

I tried [ROM]InsertCoin 19.0-4 | SENSE 5 | JellyBean 4.2.2 | 4.18.401.2
it went through the procedure of installing, saying everything went fine, I even fastbooted the boot.img both before and after.
Interestingly it loaded to the htc quietly brilliant screen, restarted itself but now it's back to just sitting on that screen again.
What should I try next?
You are missing something or forgetting something.
Flash the boot.img :
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
Full wipe =
Wipe caches/dalvik caches
Factory reset
Format cache, data and system
Then install the rom.zip and reboot

I almost feel too stupid to respond, I had done the fastboot boot incorrectly.
I had typed fastboot boot boot.ing missing out the flash.
Thank you for your time, I had missed something. Saved me from a lot of future money trouble right there.
Ah good, mistakes are made easily. Good it works now !
