Google Play Movies (cant fetch license errow 43) - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Is there a fix for this? im running blackjelly 0.9.1 release. It was asked in the original thread by someone else, but the developer doesnt use google play so it wont get looked into. thanks for any responses.

I did a Google search and believe the problem is with you having root.. Not with the rom itself.
That's just after a quick search. You might find the answer after a longer search on Google

Market showing limited results.

I have my rooted E4GT, 210 screen density, so I have a hacked play market in place so I can find more apps.
But I still can't find certain ones. Tumblr and Dolphin HD are a couple. I found their apks online, installed just fine, looks just fine.
So why is it my hacked play market isn't doing it's job?
Are there any hacked play markets that you wonderful xda peoples would suggest?

I think you can modify your hosts file to bypass the sprint proxy that might be blocking things but someone much smarter than me would have to explain how.
I know there was a app called market enabler that did this but I'm not sure if it's still around. I'm sure something similar if you do some searching would turn up. Good luck.

Bump. I still need a fix for this.
You might find a better answer in the hacked play market thread.

From the original thread
NOTE: If you are testing a "DPI Hacked" version of the Android Market and you are still experiencing incompatibilities with certain applications, see post #92 in this thread for further solutions. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25720539&postcount=92
Good luck with it.

[PORT] Google Now Jelly Bean *IN DEVELOPMENT*

Google Now from Jelly Bean is now working on Galaxy S2 running ICS.
BUT its the initial release.
Steps:
1) Delete GoogleQuickSearchBox using root explorer in system/app
2) Reboot ur device
3) Install the apk
4) Change permissions(may not be required)
5) Enjoy
NOTE: VOICE INPUT IS NOT WORKING CAUSE IT CANT CONNECT TO THE NETWORK FOR SOME REASON.

Just curious, will this method also work with the alpha jellybean release??
-snip- didn't see
thank you.
what works?
thanks friend.
So its Google Now except the voice input? Sounds interesting.
Just like the old Google search
Its essentially just the old ics google search with just JB theme on it... missing some files that prevents it to connect to Network .. so neither voice command can be used, nor Google now works as it should be automatically providing updates ...
So in all generality, its just simple google search now... anyways good work around parsing error.. maybe we will get voice working soon too..
+1
I think it is also possible to make written questions instead of spoken in the original Google Now, so it is not unusable.

Doesn't Google Now without voice kind off render the point of it useless ?
Anyways Good work.
Will follow the progress of this everyday
Guys, this is taken from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1747224
You'll see it's still a work in progress. Not sure why someone decided to post it here, as it's pretty much useless without voice.
Yeah gotta say that it's great to share and all, but the title is terribly misleading.
Yeah, he should state in the name of the thread that it is in developement.

I shared it because I want this to spread & devs to work on it. I've also given credit to the person.

This was already written up on the Portal, since it's generic, there is no need for one here, also.

Command and conquer APK on Xperia Play

Hi all,
I'm trying to find an APK file that will let me play command and conquer (any of them) on my xperia Play, I've seen a few posts on this topic on here but after trying to find the APK via google I have been unsuccessful. Each time I find one, the game is either no longer available on the site or it directs me to the google play store (of course the game is not on there).
As the advice on a lot of these posts is no longer current, I thought I'd start a new post.
Can anyone please advise me if command and conquer is still available and if so, how do I get it for my phone? If there isn't an app, I will try the emulator route.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Nick
I have the FPse emulator and the Command and Conquer ROM from where I got it I don't actually remember but I can sent it you if you want. I've played it already so I definatly know it works, and is of course totally awsome heh! heh!

Google wallet on cyanogen mod 10?

"The secure element has stopped responding"
I've got cyanogen mod 10 nightly, and Google voice, Google wallet, among other apps have been crashing regularly. Sometimes 5 times per minute, even if I'm not using the app and am doing something else.
Google voice works when calling out, as I can select which phone number to call from, but I can't get into the app itself.
Google wallet launches, but when it asks me to link a Google account, it gives me the error above.
I tried searching for a solution but couldn't find one. Maybe because I'm on my phone. Could someone point me in the right direction? Or does this app not work with modded devices?
Thanks in advance!

the app definitely works on modded devices, so it's not that. you might find some answers in this thread. it's a huge thread, and i'm sure there are a lot of people with similar issues. the little bit in the OP talks about secure element issues, if you look through the more recent pages there, those would be more JB-related.

Holy ****. I hate navigating messes of threads like those. I'll check out out tonight when I have the search function available to me.
+ thanks
If anyone has had a similar problem and found a solution, I wouldn't mind you letting me know as well...

From what I've read, if you flash a new Rom while you have your Google account attached to Google wallet, it permanently disables the wallet from the phone?

Yes.
Will the next nexus have a longer screen?

Google wallet?

I have always wondered why Google wallet is only for the Google devices, when every other service from Google is available for most androids, I saw somewhere that there was a way to bypass the Google play store and be able to download it, but I cannot find this anywhere, I wanted to know if anyone knew about this cheat to get around the play store, or simply have a way of getting the apk from somewhere, thanks in advance for those looking to assist me!

I believe it's the carriers that block it, as they are developing their own competing service (ISIS).
There is a way to get Google Wallet onto your phone, but you need to be rooted. There is a thread in the general section explaining how to do so.
