Anyone have a good car transmitter that's relatively cheap? I had bought another cheap one off ebay but never got good signal.

Bluetooth Headset

I bought a HTC Bluetooth Headset M100 and Im very disapointed with it,
could anyone recommend a good one?
Is the M200 really better than this one?
Thanks in advance.

i'm using a Sony Ericsson headset, very pleased with it bought second hand on eBay for around £10.
Using a Samsung WEP 150. Great unit, but I've got big lugs, so not very comfy
Get one of the Sony's great sounding(stereo too)
The HBH-DS970/980 headsets are great, can good a good bargain from Ebay.
If you can get the msi bluetooth headset... the headphones suck but the reciever has a replaceable battery.. like double a... with great power and is easier to charge i think... then grab a pair of your favorite headphones.... I found some good pjhillips...

[Q] Need Adapter for 2.5mm headset

I've been trying to find an adapter that will let me use my old wireless 2.5mm plantronic headset that I like with the Evo. It's mono, so it's not that critical that the jack pass stereo audio.
I actually went ahead and ordered one of these from Amazon. It's got the 3 ring 3.5mm plug. My headset only has two rings. Not sure that it matters.
Then I started looking around ebay and Meritline, and I'm still not sure what solution will work properly. I'm thinking I'll get another one or two for my bag or my car if I can find one that works.
I've ordered a lot of cheap stuff from Meritline with no problems, and their free shipping is always nice. This is what they show. I was thinking this or this, both 2 ring adapters.
Any feedback on exactly what will work with an EVO?
Thanks.
Radioshack sells them..they're like 5$.

Got one for $3. Didn't work. I can hear through it, but the mic doesn't pass.
And the $6 one I ordered from Amazon didn't work with the same results.
I think Amazon also has Headset Buddy adapters. Maybe those will work, but I think they were nearly $10. Getting to new headset territory prices.

[Q] FM Transmitter for the Thunderbolt

Hi everyone, this is my first ever android device, loving it, especially with Car Home and navigation. I got a car kit (mount, charger etc) for my Thunderbolt and now the only thing left is getting a good FM Transmitter.
If you have any recommendations for an FM Transmitter to be used with the Thunderbolt, please reply here. Also if you do use one currently, let me know.
Thanks in advance
They are all pretty much the same. It's going over FM so sound quality won't be as good as it can be. Any ones that I used with past phones were the same quality (audio wise) whether it was a $10 ebay brand or a $50 Belkin.

Yes, I would like to know this as well, since I do not have an AUX plug in my deck.
Does anyone have any exprerience with a specific dock that has an FM transmitter and powers the phone, as well?
The sweet spot would be bluetooth streaming audio like Ford does with Sync, but such systems aren't nearly as available as they need to be for someone without that installed :/

Insert my envy right here!
I use a Belkin transmitter, after trying three, I liked theirs the best.

Thanks everyone for the helpful tips + suggestions. I have decided from reading these replies that I'm going to hold off on getting an FM transmitter for now. I have a friend who is very good with cars and he told me he'd be able to install an aux input into my car for whatever the part costs me off ebay. I think I may just go with this option.
I just order this today. I'll update with how well it works after a few days with it.

Going that way will get you much better audio quality than an FM transmitter will.
If you're stuck with using an FM transmitter, then the best one you can get is the Scoshe (I think that's how you spell it) *WIRED* FM transmitter from Wal-Mart. It runs off a 12v line (pull out your car stereo and cram or splice the wires into the 12v input and the ground), then it actually plugs into the back of your stereo, and your antenna plugs into the unit. When you flip the switch, it basically kills your antenna, so you can't get any interference at all. It is the absolute best FM transmitter you can get (as far as I'm concerned).
just get those mp3 player to tape-deck things, if you still have a tape deck in your car. it will be way better quality than FM transmitters.

I've seen these on crutchfield but I think if you're going to go through all the trouble why not just jut a new head unit in that has AUX? If you MUST go FM I'd do it this way but honestly it's as much work as a new head unit which would give you better sound quality than your stock stereo anyway.
Actually, I found the cheaper "ebay brands" to be better than the expensive brands. I had a run where I was buying new ones about every two months to use in my work cars, and the best ones were the ebay 7 dollar ones from Hong Kong. I have no verifiable proof of such, but this is my opinion which it seemed the OP asked for. Make sure you get one that has selectable bands though the entire fm range.

After about a week with this transmitter, I can say that I'd recommend it, for the $ it's fantastic. I've tried $75-100 ones from Best Buy & returned them within a day. This transmitter works much better than any of those.

Honestly I just use the jabra cruiser. It has great battery life and has a built in fm transmitter. It work perfectly for me and I have very little interference with it. I use it to stream music on a 4 hour drive I make once a month and with the HTC car dock my setup couldnt be any better, full gps navigation via car speakers and live streaming radio thanks to tunein radio pro.

I'm in the same boat mate, I've bought the official samsung car mount and bought a belkin clear sound FM transmitter that I plug into the head phone jack.
I've just got loads of cables knocking about the car now, really could do with an all in one jobby if there is one?
Anyone?
The FM chip in the SGS2 supposedly has transmission capabilities (according to the spec sheet). However, no-one has been able to convince a dev to look into enabling it with a kernel patch yet. Hacre was looking at it I believe for the Ninphetamine kernel.

Nexxus Bluetooth Handsfree FM Transmitter
I use this which I got from play.com for £17. For the price this thing is brilliant. Plugs into cigarette lighter providing Bluetooth connection to my SGS2 and transmits out an FM signal to my radio. Mic is very good and it also has a usb port for charging the phone.

Steering wheel music remote for Android phone?

Local driving laws are changing, so I can't touch my android phone while on the road. I'm looking for a way to skip music tracks forward or back. Note my car cigarette lighter jack is broken, and I'm using a 3.5mm audio cable from my Nexus 5 headphone jack to AUX IN on my car stereo.
I'm looking for an inexpensive and very easy to set up solution. Currently I've only found this:
http://www.amazon.com/iSimple-Portable-Wireless-Smartphones-Bluetooth/dp/B00KPZN5UC
At $30 it looks overpriced for a cheap Chinese product. Are there better or cheaper solutions out there?
Thanks
