Does anyone know whether this phone supports wiping from an exchange server?
Tried to set up syncing over Z-Push, but it works only, if I deactivate PROVISIONING on the server.

Hi all, i need some help...
my push email was working fine when i first enabled it.
now i have this problem where i was getting error codes in exchange that there was a problem with the firewall timeout settings...so i changed the registry settings according to the knowledge base article...
but i still dont get a real push experience...
all i am getting it a sync when a 'heartbeat' sent.
emails are not being sent to my device at the emial arrives at my server...
does anyone know what might be wrong.
i cant remember if i had this working with the beta rom and the new official rom or just the beta rom.
My dlink firewall does not seem to have the ability to change timeout setting for HTTPS connections.
Try to delete the Exchange Server Account in your Universal, Enable DirectPush and recreate it.
- Disconnect the universal from PC.
- Delete the Exchange Account: Activesync/Menu/Options/Delete.
I suggest you manually delete your Contacts before recreating the Exchange server setttings otherwise all your contacs will be duplicated.
After you recreate & synchronize your Exchange server Account, try to Disable and Enable DirectPush.
I also had one funny issue with my Netgear router... I had to manually open ports (443&80), because the connection was timing-out on DMZ port.
I was setting GMail on tmail (IMAP) setting and doesn't work....

Go to messaging\Setup E-mail and just use automatic setup and it will connect via POP3.
Doesn't work POP3 either, I did it before and nothing....I was searching on internet and most of peoples said that use IMAP4 but nothing....
I'd like if anyone that has proxy 5.99 TMO has been configured GMAIL on WM6.1
What server are you using guyz???
I have gmail setup on kavana's 6.1 rom also using tzones 5.99 for internet. works fine. Im just using the regular pop and smtp settings
What option do you have for the server...Internet?
with that doesn't work mine and I change for: T mobile MMS, T mobile Data, work....doesn't work either
I have mine set to work.
I have the same problem. I have the unlimited plan and I get the "connection error" and I it asks for my login and password over and over. I only have this problem with 6.1. I have tried the T-mobile email plugin, and the other 3 ways of adding an email account.
Wierd thing is, I backed up my 6.0 data before the swap to 6.1 with Sprite backup. When I restore to the 6.1 I get me email back and it works fine, problem is that it really screws up most of the stuff I got with 6.1.
I also have the same issue.
My Yahoo and Gmail worked fine on 6.0.
6.1 Yahoo refused to work until just the other day...It has not worked since the 6.1 install until now...
Gmail will not work either no matter what... It did download the headers, but it shows nothing and will not work otherwise...
if you guys want tell me the screens you need and ill get you the settings that work for me.
I tried a lot of option and nothing guys, let see what I do....I did POP & IMAP and nothing..I tried Yahoo and doesn't work either instead they work fine through IE.
I did it POP as default and "works" sometimes, when you click on send/receive gave you the Connection ERROR....and when the system did by itself work good ( I think)...
ERROR....." The remote party has ended this connection"...
I go a new messajw
"The remote party has ended this connection"....
Does anyone has this message before?
just out of curiosity do you have pop turned on thru gmail?
Off course....
And I have setting up to "work" too
When I push (send/receive) gave that error...
Only download automatically messages twice when it's wants....
What do you recommend me to do?
As the title states, I'm syncing with an exchange (2007) server. Over Wifi everything is fine, Over 3G/GPRS/HSPDA the phone can't sync. Browsing the web, the market, or syncing gmail all works fine, both over WiFi and 3G.
Anyone have any idea to what's causing this? I've had contact with my provider (Vodafone) and they responded with the message the expect the program I use doesn't have the permission it needs to access the 3G data connection.
I did search for a similar problem but was not able to find anything specific other than to try using a different server to send.
So, I can't send emails using my pop3 account when connected to wifi, they will come in but not go out.
I'm on telus HSPA in Canada. Anyone have any suggestions? My outgoing email SMTP is using mail.telus.net and 'security type' is set to 'none'.
Can anyone help?
home wifi or any wifi?
Hi thanks. So far home, work and in laws are my saved profiles and it won't send on any of them
I think that has to do with the fact that when you are on wifi you are should be using your isp's smtp. As you can see your outgoing smtp server is mail.telus.net which is fine if you are on 3g because then telus is your isp and you hence need to use their server, but when on wifi you need to use the one of your normal internet provider. I had a similar problem when i connected my laptop on someone else's wifi. (never had a problem on my desire but that is because i only use a gmail account on that, so don't know how to make it so it automatically grabs the right server)
That really depends on whether the ISP for the wifi blocks the port to any other providers smtp server. Most don't any more in the EU. No idea if it is still that antiquated in the US and Canada.
Usually you have to provide login details for the outgoing SMTP connection. Have you done that?

Right...when I try to do that it says my service is not set up for SMTP authentication. If im connected to wifi at work with the corresponding isp and email addy then wifi sending will work.
Very strange...
Like others have said, this is a known issue with some ISPs.
I'm in the UK and my provider has blocked port 25 for security reasons but allow you to use another port in its replacement.
Hello,
Does anyone know, heard about application that enables synchronization with the Exchange using a different APN ?
Now I have to manually switch between APN`s before I connect to internet or synchronize my phone.
The closest solution to your problem is APNSwitcher. It is a widget that lets to quickly switch between 2 APNs.
