I have been running aokp build 5 for a about a day now and I only have one problem with it. Whenever I turn my screen on the brightness also gets turned up very high for about a second then goes back to the normal setting It should be at. This happens most of the time but not always and I can't figure out what is causing it. Does anyone have a fix for this? Thanks!

Is it just for me but I flashed Cm6 and when I click the power button to turn the screen on and off there's a pretty noticable delay what could it be? Thanks

I've noticed that my 128 megahertz powersave screen off profile causes slow screen ons...but that wouldn't explain your screen offs
I had the same problem on cm6, and the screen back light wouldn't always turn on. I tried every imaginable thing to try and fix it, but no luck. I don't have the problem on cm7 nightlies thankfully.

For about 2 weeks I have noticed the clock on my Inc is delayed. For example I turn on the screen and it will say 8:20 then 30 seconds later it will catch up and read 8:28. Does anyone else have this? Or know a way to fix. I am running cm7 latest nightly and incredikernal
Same here it's like it doesn't update with the screen off

I'm currently on Slim, but the same problem occurs in AOKP and CM9. I've tried the stock kernel and the Franco milestones.
When I have the screen time out set at 1 minute, the screen doesn't turn off at all - even after 20 minutes. If I set the time out at 30 seconds it turns off like it should.
Anyone else with this problem?

Anyone have the problem where if you turn your screen off sometimes it wont turn back on but its still on. like when im listening to music the screen will turn off and wont turn back on but the music is still palying, still got buzzes from notifications. have to pop the battery out
That's usually referred to as a Sleep of Death, or SOD, around the forums. If you look around, you'll find a lot of posts about them.
Anyone else with info on this when I search I get nothing but bull**** threads about different Roms. I'm running stock gnexus

Are you on android 4.2.1 still? If so, try turning auto brightness off. I'd your have developer settings enabled then you can turn off animator duration.
Not on 4.2.1? Then I have no idea...
Verizon Galaxy Nexus haven't gotten 4.2 .1 yet I thought. So I'm still on 4.1 .1

So, i love my note 3, so far. I rooted and installed Ds rom and l love it. Everything works perfectly, except for one thing my display is auto brightness itself!! I have auto brightness off, I have dynamic mode checked, and smart screen setting turn off.
Every time I start to play need of speed most wanted, it starts to auto bright itself!! :banghead:
Check out download the game and see if it happens to you!

It happens on mine too. It's a Touchwiz thing because it also happened on my S4. But once I installed CM10 on it that issue went away. I know it's annoying.

Theres nothing you can do about it , its a feature in the kernel called brite and it happened on the S4 also. A dev is gonna have to make a kernel with it disabled. Its there so when the phone gets warm or hot it dims the screen automatically until phone cools back down and then full brightness comes back. There have been a couple threads on this already and i even took my first Note back and exchanged it and the second one does it too. Its software related hopefully samsung will release an update to take this feature out

Yeah i unchecked everything and anything that had to do with auto-brightness and it seems to happen less now. Its just annoying i think its also in there to help preserve battery life but i bought this phone for the big bright screen hopefully a DEV will fix it with a custom stock kernel

I think that's good news about my phone. I thought my was defective or something like that...
I did try lux and a brighter note apps, to see if that would fix the issue, but it didn't.

Yep it's normal. Nothing you can do except keep the temp under 90F. LOL I went crazy trying to figure it out myself. Once the temp gets over 90 for me, it starts auto dimming even with everything disabled for auto-screen brightness.
