Hello,
My problem is that my HOX automatically goes stand-by. First i was on a RELOCKED Stock rom and when I open a app like Google Maps or every game my phone automatically goes stand-by. If I wait I see the lock screen coming up and if i wait a little longer it goes back in stand-by in 2 seconds.
When I try to unlock my phone is working fine till he must shows the app that I started then the same thing happens all the time. The only way to stop from this "loop" is open the call app from my lock-screen and then press home.
I thought if I install CM10 that problem will be over. but its only making it worse. Now is it every where and completely random when it happens.
Have anyone else the same problem or even better a solution ?
Thanks

Its happened twice that i can remember now.
This morning in bed I grabbed the phone, deleted some emails, opened the browser and the screen went blank with the sound of a slight crackle. It then instantly revooted (google logo popped up etc).
Im concerned the phone is faulty. Is it likely just one of those things or does it sound more sinister?
Hope somebody can advise.
Mine rebooted once the other day. I don't necessarily think that the phone is faulty, it just has bugs that need ironing out.

it's just the apps
it can happen with any android device
just keep an eye on which app is causing it
you can pull out the logs and scan through it
I've been having the same thing as the OP. I get "Android is Upgrading" when it restarts, too.
In additiona I've seen (several times now) that when I press the power button to turn the screen on, it wont accept any input. After 30 minutes or so it spontaneously restarts and goes to the "Android is Upgrading" message when it restarts.
I'm on the verge of RMI'ing the thing as some of the other guys in the office who have it have not had the same problems.
I'm running vanilla sim free version, no operator tat installed.

Are you running a totally unmodified stock rom or have you flashed a custom rom/kernel/radio to it? Kernels are still being worked on and arent perfect yet.
Also Android 4 is still very new and alot of apps are not fully compatable and subject to crashing or crashing the system.
Everything will be ironed out in time
Mark.
My phone had about 60% battery last time I checked but I just went to unlock it and the phone didn't respond. I tried to turn it on by holding the power button wasn't getting any response from the phone
I've plugged it into the charger and didn't get any charging light so again I held in the power button and nothing! I kept trying and eventually the buttons lit up and it started to boot...
I've had the phone for 2/3 days now and this is the first problem I've had but it's still a little worrying!
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this? I'm on the 1.26 software.
I had this on one occasion when adding the messages widget to the home screen. When I powered the phone back on I got a request to send HTC a bug report.

Interesting. I didn't get the bug report.
I'm hoping it was just a software bug but I haven't seen any other complaints on the forum yet.
I have just noticed a problem with my phone too, turned it off for the first time last night, on start up this morning it started ok but did not load completely and froze for about 30 seconds on the home screen with no app icons showing. It then rebooted and started up ok with the bug report. I then turned off the fast boot and tried again, it booted correctly first time. Would there be any particular apps which would cause this to happen on fast boot?
Hey mate, currently having the same problem as you. Have no clue what to do. My battery was at about 50% and it just crashed when i was playing riptide. Now it wont turn on or anything. Even when the phone charger is plugged it, it wont budge. Have you found a fix?
Hello. Everytime I start up my GS3 it will work fine for about 10 seconds. Then a popup and the bottom of my screen will say notifcation service is running, then it will say Have a good day. After that the phone freezes for about a minute then reboots.
Can anyone help me?
Hi, I'm having a problem since long time ago (october/november), but now it just pissed me off so I decided to logcat my phone to find what is wrong.
Here is the problem : (I precised on stock rom I haven't got any problem. Well I think because I stayed on stock may be 4 days since I've got my nexus).
When I'm on custom rom, when I want to pick up the phone, or call someone sometimes my nexus starts the display of "during call" but it stays black (I can see my navbar or statusbar but I've got black background). I can heard my friend but can't do anything. Then maybe 3 secondes later my phone freeze and restarts. Moreover sometimes I don"t have this issue, the phone run correctly but when I want to end a call it doesn't go back to the main screen. The proximity sensor behaves like I still have my phone near my ear. so I need to pull out the battery and it re-works proprely. Nonetheless 3/4 days after that the problem comes back. I don't know what to do because I tested my proximity with an app from the play store and there is not probleme with it.
I attached a logcat so if someone can help me it would be veryyyy nice.
Thnakss !
Do a factory reset and see if it goes away.

Hey everyone.
I'm really hoping someone can help me with my Huawei P6 Ascend.
For the last 2 days, my phone goes into a reboot cycle or switches off every time its on standby. When I'm using the phone (or when the screen is on) or if the screen is off, but I'm playing music, the phone is fine. But every time I press the sleep button on the side or the screen goes off normally, the phone either restarts itself, or switches off completely. It restarts or switches off within 30 seconds of going into standby, which is VERY frustrating.
I booted in safe mode, did a factory reset, and even installed the Chinese version KitKat OS. After Installing Kit Kat, the phone no longer restarts, it now just switches off completely once it goes into standby.
Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should do next?
Some other useful info:
- It started rebooting after I used the google maps app. I read that Jelly Bean sometimes rebooted when using GPS, so thats why I installed KitKat.
- Every time it would reboot in Jelly Bean, it would start in airplane mode. Now, with KitKat, it just switches off and I have to manually start it, but it doesnt start in airplane mode.
Please please help!
