[Q] Someone help please!

So here's the deal. I have A rooted Droid Incredible and i cant get past the splash image. I tried going into recovery and wiping everything and flashing a new rom but I keep getting the following message:
E: Can't mount dev/block/mmcblk0p1
It comes up when i try to flash a rom and says installation aborted about halfway through installing. It also comes up when i try to wipe and do a factory reset.
If anyone knows a way around this It would be immensely helpful, because as of right now i cant use my phone which is a problem. I'm running clockwork recovery v2.5.0.5.

no clue how to fix, but didn't you make a nandroid? restore to that for now so that your phone at least works, until you get an answer.

What you want to do is RUU. Go to the link in my siggy 3G drops, and d/l the RUU.
I'm not the most knowledgeable here by a long shot, but I feel your panic. First thing I would try is pulling the battery, waiting a few minutes, and then put it back in, boot to recovery, and try to restore your backup. Fingers crossed- at least this will hold you until someone who knows more than I starts asking the right questions.
Oh, and second, try searching for that error message maybe.
That's all I got. Good luck!
Edit: while I was writing this, two others gave advice first

[Q] Phone is stuck! Help please.

Hi, I am not a noob, but my phone seems to be malfunctioning. Specifically it is having this problem:
My Incredible is running CM7 with ClockwordMod and was having many force close problems and the only solution seemed to be to do a factory reset or try getting a backup from recovery. When I tried recovery however, the phone got stuck on the HTC Incredible white screen and never did anything else. I took out the battery and tried factory reset, this produced the same result. I tried starting up the phone at that point again and when it got to the skateboarding android splash screen, it kept freezing and starting the animation over again. I am fine just doing a wipe through the USB if that's possible but I don't know how that is done. Thanks in advance for any help.
I have tried to flash CWM Recovery using the SDK, but it unfortunately has been giving me a different error, and it won't let me. I am wondering if my phone is dead, and there is no chance of bringing it back.
Currently using an OG Droid that I had as a back-up and wait for the Galaxy Nexus to come out.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thank you.
Your phone is probably fine. Just the recovery needs reflashing.
Go to PvilleComp's site and download a recovery flashable from HBOOT (PB31IMG.zip method). Just boot into HBOOT with the file on the root of the SD card, and it recovery should work again.
Thank you very much! This worked perfectly.
Was able to get back into CM7. Am back up and running.
HUGE HELP!

[Q] Bootloop even after wiping

Ive tried searching and googling, but couldnt really find an answer to my problem..I have flashed many roms on my HD2, but only 1 on my gnex. I dont know much about using terminal and the adb system..so im quite lost.
sitation:
-when i put my battery in, i can go into fastboot
-if i let it boot, the google logo with the lock at the bottom boots... then it goes to the loading screen... after about 5-10 seconds, it will reboot and repeat.
i have the sdk tools thing installed on my mac. Im pretty sure its installed correctly but im not exactly sure how to use it.I have an old version of gummy (0.9.0?) and have been running it fine for about 2 months. I used the toolkit program to root and unlock it. installed cwm and installed the rom. didnt have any problems until today, i had just sent an email, and then about a minute or two later, the phone restarted and started booting itself over and over.
I booted into recovery and wiped everything and still boot loops. So i wiped everything again and installed the same rom because I don't know transfer through bootloader. still no luck, after leaving bootloader or recovery it will continue to boot loop.
right now i cant reflash to stock because i can't get my phone to connect to my mac.
my questions:
-will i need to reflash my baseband//kernel/recovery?
-either an update of the rom or a new rom would fix this, yes? how do i transfer a new rom to my phone through fastboot?
-Since i dont have access to my pc, can i do this from my mac? How?
sorry to be so newbie, but i really am with the gnex If anyone can please give me a general step by step... i can search how to specifically do each step.. but i just need help figuring out what to do at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!

[Need help] Weird things happen when trying to install FXP's JB rom

Hi all,
I am new here and I don't know exactly where to post but I have been in a weird situation and really need help. I already did my homework trying to search for solution and it takes me all night long without success so please help me out!
My phone situation: lt18i, bootloader is unlocked, ClockWorkMod recovery installed. When trying to flash with custom kernel:
- Jelly Bean kernel, it said flashing is successful. However, after that I can no longer boot into ClockWorkMod recovery, although my phone's led is blue indicating that I am in fastboot mode. My guest is the recovery partition is wiped after I flash the custom kernel, so I tried to flash ClockWorkMod again. Then I got a failure, the terminal said "wrong range" (most of the time) and "the file size is too large" (some other times).
- Ice Screem Sandwich kernel, it also said that everything is ok. Then I flash ClockWorkMod recovery. This time it worked ok.
I really don't understand why ClockWorkMod recovery disappears everytime I try to flash a JB kernel, although the kernel itself contains CWM recovery I believe. And the wrong range message keeps appearing in terminal, I search around in the Internet but no result found!
So all my efforts to install JB were in vain. I am in a even more serious situation that I lost my backup and now I am stuck with the boot flash animation and my phone now is soft-bricked.
Does anyone experienced such situations? Any suggestion to help me get out of this situation will be greatly appreciated.
That's really weird
Read your full descriptive problem.......:crying:
THAT'S REALLY WEIRD....
DON'T know that this solution will work or not

svantesonCM10FXP136_boot

IF YOU THINK I HELPED THEN SHOW IT BY PRESSING THE THANKS ICON:good:
Reflash a stock ROM and start over, and you're backup should be on your SD card so don't think you will have lost that.

[SOLVED] Can't enter recovery & Phone keeps showing bootanimation

Hi all,
I did some things with my phone this afternoon, but now when I try to boot it into recovery mode, it just boots into android.
The problem is, it won't boot into android either. It keeps showing the boot animation..
The recovery I use(d): CWM 5 by MoltenMotherboard
The ROM I use(d): Maclaw AOSP ICS Final 2
What do I have to do? I can still enter downloadmode so it's not hardbricked or something, but I have no idea what to do now.
Can I just flash the stock firmware with Odin?
The recovery I use is ext4 only, so that'd mean that when I'm back at the stock rom I can't use the recovery, right?
Update: At the moment I'm trying to flash this rfs+ext4 recovery via Odin, but it's already at 10 minutes and still no "Finish" message or something.. :/
Update 2: Flashed the stock rom via Odin, but now after it shows the blue glowing Samsung logo, it reboots and does it all over again.. It won't go into recovery either.. Please, can anyone help me!?
Update 3: Finally, after a pretty long time I finally got my phone working again.. I was so stupid to use the wrong combination to open the recovery (I used the CWM combination..) Thanks for "all your help" XD
