Hello,
I am a proud new owner of a Tmobile Galaxy Note 2 and I have a few issues. My previous phone that this replaced was a Galaxy Nexus. The first problem is that I can't get my Google Voice emails to go to the inbox. I have changed it in the call settings but when someone calls, their voicemails are sent to the T-mobile servers instead. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Also, I was able to tether with the native app on my Galaxy Nexus. When I tried to tether with the galaxy note 2, it says that my plan does not support it. I tried using an app called foxfi but it doesn't work with Jelly Bean. Do I need to wait for a root or is there another app that I can try. Thanks to anyone who can help!
Well my contract is finally coming to an end (August 2013), I am looking at the Note II my question is, if I backup all my apps, games, text messages and Swiftkey dictionary using Titanium Backup will I be able to import them into the Note II without any problems? Or does the Note II use a different kind of APK/File?
Also will it be better to wait for the Note III?
I'm sure you'd be fine with TiBu.
Regarding the note 3, If it were me id wait

All Android devices use the same APK files.
Limitations are mostly software (newer apps on old Android versions) and sometimes hardware due to lack of a particular sensor on the device the app needs.
In your case, you should be OK.
As for backup/restore using TiBu, as long as you plan on rooting your Note II, you'll be fine.
Otherwise, you may want to look at Helium as your backup/restore solution : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.backup
The Note has a locked bootloader FYI. And from my experience with my dad's Note II the stock TW has way more bloatware than I remember the S3 having. I'd get an S4 instead (or wait for the S5).

Are you already rooted? If not, while rooting you will be loosing all that data you want to back up. If you're not rooted, then go fetch Helium from the play store. It can back up all that sort of thing without root.
Do a backup in recovery on your s3 save to external SD card. Root your note 2 download nandroid backup in play store on your note 2, insert SD card. I have a note 2 and a s3 and I'm constantly backing up all my data and switching phones every couple weeks. Nandroid backup, backs up apps data texts and call records. If u have any questions just message me. I do this all the time without any problems

I am rooted already and have nandroid back up. What Mike said has me thinking is the Note bootloader locked? Or will I be able to unlock it via Odin?
There is a sticky for other device discussions

Hello, I am running a Note II with jedi master x2 4.3 and purchased a Gear 2 neo, running latest firmware version.

I cannot remember if I uninstalled S-Voice or it is not included, either way after trying to get it to work I donwloaded and installed an APK for the s4's s voice, it starts up and seems to work on the phone, but the watch is not recognizing it (and I did restart the watch, at which point it asked me (again) to accept the terms and conditions for S-Voice and again told me it needed to be installed.
Any thoughts? And thanks for taking the time to read this!
Edit: I fixed it using these instructions as if my phone was a non samsung
Hi,
Does anyone know if this method for installing whatsapp on a non-rooted Galaxy tab 3 WiFi model still works? I was going to get a Galaxy tab 3 for someone but only if we can get whatsapp working on it. Can anyone confirm if this method still works? If someone could do a test and let me know, I'd really appreciate it.
