Hi guys, just wondering how safe or dangerous buying a non-oem battery from ebay?
For example this : http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2x-3500m...AU_MobilePhoneAccessories&hash=item3a7a33fbd5
Will this have any impact on my phone?
There are also 'genuine' ones on ebay - I wouldn't trust that they are genuine though.
If so, where would I go about getting an authentic one?

I dont know why you want to buy a non-OEM battery. but I think it has some risk.
and maybe Samsung will reject to repair your phone when it is out of order.
Always get from a reputable seller or brand if you are not getting oem. Look for reviews and such. As far as I know there aren't really any side effects if you get a well made battery by one of the good manufacturers. Though I always prefer oem batteries. I'd get other 3rd party accessories but never a battery.

Hello,
My Atrix sometimes dies on me in the middle of the day because I use it heavily so now I've decided I need to buy an extra battery. But I don't trust/want those custom batteries with an extended battery cover. So I'm looking to buy a genuine OEM battery, by genuine I mean an actual Atrix 4g battery that came out of the box, not a copy.
If anyone's willing to sell me one or know where I can get one, please help me!
Thank you!
e-bay or AT&T store....
Don't want to bother looking for the post but someone said they called motorola and they sent him a new battery.

i just ordered one off of amazon. its the bh5x intstead of the 6, but it has 20 more milliamps!!!!!11!one, and is oem.
I got one free from motorola. Didn't even have to call, I used the online chat. It's covered under warranty
Just tell them your issue with the battery.
I'm looking to purchase a battery that I don't need a different back cover for.
I get pretty good life out of mine, a day easily getting me from charge to charge however I just want an extra one to carry for those long days when I'm out.
I've looked about but im confused as a lot seem to be cheap fakes and I don't want to damage my phone in any way, on the other hand I don't want to pay through the nose either.
Can someone point me in the right direction to a tried and tested battery.
Thanks in advance
Stret
Ive got one of these. There are ok for a spare battery. Last me a day and abit
http://www.obostore.com/2100mah-andida-spare-battery-for-samsung-galaxy-nexus-p-4407.html
I would suggest you to get the OEM battery. They are really priced reasonably, with NFC, and warranty.
Unless you want to experiment with batteries, try to stick to OEM instead of 3rd party manufacturers

OEM = Original equipment manufacturer. So it's really any store that sells Samsung made GNex battery.
I have a retail original battery sealed in original clear plastic box, if interested pm me.
sold
I'm looking for a spare battery and came up with this on ebay. It looks like it's OEM one with NFC function, but the price is too good to be true, cuz there are some seller priced it around $30, which makes more sense.
ebay.com/itm/New-Battery-for-EB-L1G6LLU-Samsung-Galaxy-S-III-S3-i9300-2100mAh-/140785352440?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20c775fef8
Amazon has third party seller for the oem w nfc for 30 also.

I ordered this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/27100367050...NX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_827wt_1396
2 batteries plus an external charger for them for $18. It says OEM with NFC, but we'll see. I'm not sure how much I'll use the NFC feature anyway, but I'm hoping this is what it says it is.

It looks like the OEM but I dont see NFC anywhere.
Tempting due to the claim of OEM. Any bets on them being counterfit? Note the seller also offers a 2500mAh "compatible" version.
I emailed the guy. It has no NFC antennae, those are extra lol oh well I just need backup battery untill OEM price comes down.
So it's not really OEM then is it? Don't the OEM ones come with the NFC built in?

Sadly, how can it be an OEM battery for the SGS3 without the antenna?
Does anyone have the P/N off of an original US version of the battery? I'm still waiting for mine. I contacted Anker about when they will stock one and they asked for the P/N. I've had great success with the Anker batteries in my Touch Pro 2 (on Sprint) which is what I'm upgrading from.
How can you tell if a battery has the NFC? Aside from the markings on it.
I had ordered this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/16082851278...NX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_738wt_1396
New 2100mAh OEM EB-L1G6LLU Battery + Charger For Samsung Galaxy S3 III I9300
from : favorite444
Received it today. Looks like OEM, slightly different markings but says 2100mah and says Near Field Communications on it. It's charging up right now so I'll report back if NFC is actually working.

Grr, no NFC...what bs. Why the heck would it say NFC if there is no NFC. Will reach out to seller to get some kind of credit (not sending this **** back to china). I guess its OK as a replacement battery, but I have NFC tags that I'm using.
Emailed the guy and got a full refund! He even said not to return the battery.
Congrats! May I ask if you are using a US phone? I'd like to know if these batteries work in the US releases of the S3.

Will all 9300 batteries and accessories work for the ATT variant? I was thinking they were different batteries for some reason.
Stock Samsung battery for $25 with NFC
Difference in performance between OEM 3.8v and third-party 3.7v?
I've seen several third-party batteries, but none are 3.8v. I was wondering if there is a notable difference in performance between the different voltages or not. Thanks
Hey guys,
I bought the official Samsung battery with the NFC antenna and now my NFC won't work.
Do you have any idea how to get it to work again?
Is anyone else having similar problems?

are you sure its not a fake?
I bought two of the supposed real ones too. They had Samsung logos and even said NFC on them. Every part of the packaging was the same on the battery except the fake was made in Hong Kong the real in Korea. I M okay with the battery however, it is what it is as for $20 I got two backups and an external charger
it came with the cradle-charger so I don't think it would be fake.
I noticed that some galaxy nexus users were having difficulties with using the NFC function when swapping their batteries..
the only solution for them was to do a factory reset..
For those of you with an extra battery , could you check to see if both of your batteries work with NFC please?

Thats a fake battery, if you want I can get a whole lot of those batteries stickers from china.

lol, did you buy from amazon directly or a seller on amazon? i have known sellers on amazon selling fake crap trying to pass them off as genuine. but put your original battery back in and check if nfc works to test i suppose. i don't see why changing the batt should stop nfc working as it only contains the antenna and not the nfc chip.

I put in my original battery and the NFC is working fine.
I then tried the new battery again and the NFC works too!
I have no idea what happened... I guess it was just a little glitch..
THanks for all your replies guys, much appreciated!
I have purchased Hyperion back up batteries for my Note 2. I have used these on my S2 and S3 and they have always performed exceptionally well.
Now however, the batteries will not charge when in the phone. I have to use and external charger. Does anyone know of a fix for this situation? I have searched the entire site with no luck and also searched HF with no luck.
Thanks in advance for any help.
I remember seeing this problem in other forums and I don't think there is a solution except to buy OEM batteries. They don't cost much. I got 2 for $10 on eBay. They charge fine.

Sorry you had to go through this. I tried a bunch of non-OEM batteries on previous phones, and they always seem to cause some of the weirdest problems (especially on my Sensation 4G - the screen would do bizarre things with non-OEM batteries). Luckily you had obvious problems - some people's lives become miserable due to subtle problems caused by bad batteries that they would never assume came from the battery.
I already bought a back-up OEM battery on eBay, though. I would recommend only New OEM batteries, though.
Im waiting for anker
I have purchased Hyperion batteries for my Galaxy S II and my original note and in both circumstances they gave me problems It seemed like the phone would run out of juice much faster than the OEM ones.
I would recommed sticking with Samsung original equipment. In my opinion, there is a reason they are less than half the price.
