Auto-brightness screwed up after the latest ALJ3 update? The Auto-brightness seems to default to the darkest after this update. Tried toggling the "Auto adjust screen tone" on & off but makes no difference.
Anyone facing this problem after this update?

Upgraded to Mango beta a few days ago, and i noticed that the phone wasn't letting me turn auto adjust on power on anymore. I thought it was just a problem with beta, and decided to wait until the official update came around. Now I have the official update installed, and i still can't turn on auto brightness adjust.
Basically when i go to the setting, it's on medium, and when i turn it on, then press back. It shows medium again in the grayed out summary of settings. When i go back into brightness again, auto adjust is turned off. Tried a number of different things and it just wont stay on. Anyone having this problem too?
No matter what I do, the brightness never change. Is there a way to fix this in stock rom?
Auto brightness works for me on 4.0.4 but it's still set too low so I don't use it.
Screen always auto rotates even though the auto rotation option is disabled.
Problem started randomly today when I was on Purity's 09/08 build for almost a month, so I upgraded to 10/08 build just to see if it would fix anything. It didn't.
Only thing I can thing of is some app that is overriding this setting. But, I can't think of any that would do this.
Any ideas?
Hi Every one
I have upgraded my P6 to Kitkat B512 and have noticed that although auto brightness choice is available in setting and notification panel but it doesnt work properly, meaning that ones it is set to "auto" the brightness of screen doesnt change automatically in dark and bright environments
Have any one faced this problem? is there any fix for that?
Is anyone else having this issue? No matter what I do to adjust my settings, it remains full brightness.
Go to display settings , uncheck auto brightness , now u can adjust the brightness..... If not, reboot the device.
I noticed this myself but i am rooted , using a custom kernel and xposed with some modules so i wasn't really sure what's causing the problem. Didn't have the time yet to figure it out... Is your pixel c still stock?
Still stock. I can adjust brightness with auto brightness unchecked, but the lowest setting is incredibly bright still.
I did a reboot and after that it worked again like it should... , i just checked with mine and it's still working correctly ...
