With stock rom my note2 has Gyroscope problem. All things shooted with camera are vice versa. Motion function is not running. Did you ever face such problem? This is just 48th hour with phone. I just have root.

Cause i have encountered multiple times the proximity sensor fails to work.... tried the proximity sensor config app multiple times on multiple rom's/multiple kernels ! and it works for some time but then starts failing after some time.. I know its not my hardware fault as it is a new mobile.
Did it work properly on the stock ROM? Even new handsets can develop faults.

Hi!
I got a rooted DZ with several rom's tried out.
I believe that in the Stock OTA-ROM everything worked fine.
Now I'm at the Vision-Desire-HD-Sense 3.0 .
The light sensor is working a bit, but shows at darkness 10, at daylight 40 and in the sun 160. Another Handy shows 160 at daylight and 360 in the sun.
The proximity sensor always shows 9.0 ...
Is the sensor damaged or can I replace some library's or config files in the ROM?
Thx!!!
Domi
maybe is the rom. Try reinstalling it.

If it's anything like my Desire Z, your phone will be permanently affected by this. My light sensor just stopped working one day, and never started working again.

What is your hboot version?
Sent from my EndeavorU
Hi
My hboot is 1.12
Then your problem could be from a bad flash(reflash the latest version of the rom)

Did it work perfectly before flashing the ROM?
Mine's currently getting it's proximity sensor fixed. It was hardware related...
Actually I bought four months old phone. I have not checked at the time of purchasing. After rooting and flashing custom rom proximity sensor is worked where weak. From two days onwords it is not yet all working. So, please anybody advise me. I checked two other custom roms also. But no use.

Proximity Sensor Finder from the play store can help.
I found that when I squeezed the phone just below the camera, the sensor would work temporarily. It seems it's not an uncommon fault.
I have noticed that my Gyro and Compass are Not Responding to movement of the phone, and I am wondering if its a driver issue or a hardware one. Can any of you boffins give me some advice on how I may resolve this please ?

Download "Z-Device Test" from the play store, there you can find out if it's hardware related or not. I also would like to know what Rom/Kernel/Recovery combination you have, or is everything stock?
Well, I'll be honest and admit that I never ever seen a compass in my note 2, though I'm sure I seen it in the original note. If anyone could point me to it, I'd appreciate it. I did look in apps but not there.

Thanks for the reply. I have downloaded it, and it would suggest that the sensor IS working ok, but the phone is not recognising it for some reason. Would the kernel be a reason ? This is driving me nuts...

Hmm, are you on stock Rom? If so you can calibrate gsensor under settings - display (i think)...
Or you can try this if you are rooted
Or get this app and if I'm not mistaken it lets you calibrate the g-sensor.
Hope this helps
Hi everyone !
I have an issue on my One X when I'm using the g sensor. For instance, if I use it to take a photosphere, the points start to slowly drift to the side.
I'm on CM11 M7 but i've had the issue for a long time even on CM10.
What's happening ?
I rebooted while pressing volume up and it seemed to work. I managed to make a small photoshpere. I tried to make another one and the g sensor was acting weird again.
No idea ?

have you tried to calibrate your g-sensor?
Yes, I've used GPS status and advanced tools that both have a calibration functionality. That didn't work.
Maybe there is another way of doing it that I'm not aware of.

This technique seems to apply to phones which don't have a working sensor at all. But I've tried it anyway. And it doesn't work.

have you tried a sense rom?
I have the same issue on my HTC One S ville running CM11. I was thinking about downgrading to CM10 but that doesn't seem to fix it as you say.
I would really like photosphere to work correctly. Does anybody else have this problem (running stock rom), any fixes?
