Hi I want to change my device id on my phone so I can download some apps from the market that I normally could not....
In the build prop which line item do I need to edit to do this ?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
You can do it by hand with Root Explorer or ADB, TE, but if you're not really sure which line it is after pulling a build.prop and looking thru it, or are unsure what to replace it with, I'd just recommend using device spoofer which is a free app from the Play Store.
Link: http://goo.gl/idziy
It also automates the backup of your old settings.
Protip: use a Nexus class device spoof for pretty unlimited app access. (I think I have mine set as a Nexus S.)
U know I spent about 6 hours looking for a device spoofer on the market and could not find this...
I use market enabled quite a bit...
Now my issue is my google wallet account was hacked so google wont let me buy anything
...really frustrating they take like 2 weeks to reinstate....
Thank u for your help

Yeah, it's kinda crazy how Google's search engine works on the Play Store... it must be tied up to some Adsense issue: maybe if they're not getting enough revenue thru a particular app, it won't show right up. Earlier today, I was trying to find a new free app called "How Old Do I Look?" - I typed it in perfectly, and it DID come up, but it came up like 15 apps from the top one listed, and the ones above it didn't even have those words in the title. Weird, huh?
hi guys,

The only way you can run watsapp is if you have the archks 3G stick connected to the tab the 1st time you start the app... it needs to find an imei

You can do this:
- install whatsapp in your mobile phone.
- make a whatsapp backup, app+data (i use rom toolbox pro)
- Copy all backup files from your phone to Archos
- restore whatsapp in your archos
- delete whatsapp in your phone
- thats all
You needs WiFi to run it

Yep you are right. Just delete whatsapp on his phone(with your number) before you run it on your tablet.

I cannot install WhatsApp Messenger to my HTC HD2. When I installed it, JBlend will issue the following error message:
"JAD Checking failed, errno=908 Incompatible Configuration or Profile".
I have downloaded the jad file and try to install but also failed.
Is there any solutions ?

You can install LBE Privacy Guard from Playstore and block whatsapp, to read your IMEI. Next you can start whatsapp and use it as normal.
Have fun

Recently Facebook Home has just came out and I've been searching for it for our Galaxy W, unfortunately, it's not available for our phone. It's because they block our device, allowing only S3 or some popular phones to get the update only. Some people were also facing country restrictions issues, our even version incompatible.
So I've found a post by Modaco, and these are the ways you can get it working on our phone, or maybe other device:
Uninstall all you facebook apps, and download these 3 files, install it and you're done!
Main app:
http://loadbalancing.modaco.com/download.php?file=com.facebook.katana.modaco.apk
Facebook Home Launcher:
http://loadbalancing.modaco.com/download.php?file=com.facebook.orca.modaco.apk
Facebook Messenger with chat heads;
http://loadbalancing.modaco.com/download.php?file=com.facebook.home.modaco.apk
All files above are patched, so you can't update it from play store, unless the official app is available for our device
Credits to: Modaco, http://www.modaco.com/topic/361924-facebook-home-download-including-patched-apk-version/
I've attached the screencaps on my Galaxy W
Notice: The app could be laggy, this is because Facebook has not make it stable yet and it's one of the reason they don't allow us to install it on Playstore

It's weird since my first note didn't have the problem of pop ups whenever I was browsing chrome but on my new Note 10.1 it happens a lot and getting a tad annoyed now, also had a xrated ad pop up luckily my nephews we're not around.
Is there a way to block ad pop ups on Chrome Android?? Via a add-on or some sort.
As I was typing this on Chrome an add on from "luvlinks" or some crap popped up
P.s. I have block add checked in the settings.

Have you tried adblock plus? It's not in the play store anymore - gotta install it from their website, but it works quite well for me on Chrome, no ads anywhere.
Also no root needed.

Not sure about stock browser, but I can tell you for sure that root isn't needed because I'm not rooted. It says so on their site too.
It has worked with some other browsers in my experience, but some of them are a hit and miss.

I had heard of it but couldn't find it on play store plus wasn't sure if it worked for chrome, I have downloaded it so I guess time will tell. Thanks.
Okay so that didn't work, I took a screen shot of one of the ones that popped up - tbh I only get pop ups on XDA website. Might have to use app but prefer using sites via chrome.

It works without root. You have to set up a proxy setting for each wireless network you connect to.
Is it possible to block a site on Chrome?? Its litterally one spam website which always pops up regardless of having adblocker installed....if theres a way to juat block that site then I can finally browse XDA in peace. I dont get why it just happens on the XDA website - think i need to stop being stubborn and just use the XDA App lol.

If you are rooted, use Adaway. I use it and don't get any pop ups or anything. Root is required, give it a try

When you install the app it warns you that tablets are not supported. Hope that won't cause functionality issues. Probably just a ppi thing.
Shame you can only have one account per device. They should open this up so you can sync your account across multiple devices.

1- clear ALL data from WhatsApp on your tablet (including the apk itself at the end)
2- install DataSync on both your phone and your tablet (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quintstoffers.DataSync.beta)
3- re-install WhatsApp on your tablet and DON'T open it just yet
4- using DataSync, transfer your phone's WhatsApp data to your tablet (using whatever method you prefer) [tutorials on how to do that can be found on Google, look them up if you need to]
5- open WhatsApp on your tablet and notice how it doesn't ask you to re-activate your account on the device (for all the app knows, it's the same device)
I've done it like this on all my devices and i forgot about re-activating the account on each device, every single time I've used WhatsApp on either of them ^_^
PS- the conversations don't get synced on all devices unless all of them are turned on at the time of the conversations, but at least you don't have to keep activating and re-activating the freaking thing every single time you use it

Well, i haven't had to repeat the process yet and I've updated the app twice now, so I'm guessing as long as the data is there and it's an update, it doesn't affect anything, but we all know how developers can do things one way now and then change their minds... so for now, you're safe.
