That is sweet browser. It works for me both Wifi and Cellular network.
I have been using for about a week. I had sporadic problems using Edge with LVWS Rom and now with the Cingular 2.0 Black Rom I have no problems.......so far
Thanks for posting this, works great. Have to say it makes reading the forum easier from my phone. Using it to post this reply.
yeah, must agree, except that it does not work on some sites, this browser is head and shoulders above the rest. Great for reading.
Great
This is a great browser - nice and slick.
Plus it seems to be better for viewing PDF's than any other viewer i've tried

Not just SEEMS to be better at viewing PDF's, it is faster and slicker than any other PDF software and everyone should install it for the PDF capabilities alone - it is a bonus that it is a great web browser and views files of many different types
I've tried to install/re-install the program in main memory and Storage card. But tried to launch the Picsel Browser - keep getting "Initialisation Failure". Can anyone help ????
Might make a good pdf viewer, but its a piece of sh*t for a browser...works, but too much funky zoom/pan bs.
I absolutely love this application.
has anyone tried to login to myspace with this browser? It seems that this browser cuts part of the webpage, the part where I would login !

Thanks for the advice. But I have tried many time to reinstall/redownload ( also from other sites) but still encountered the "Initialisation Failure " error. I've also cleaned the direcory/registry/notification queue too but still not working. It's a pity - I would like to try out this program.

Yup, I have the same issue. Its a nice browser, fast and all but has some problems with rendering full page.
yeah, I definitely like the concept Of this browser. If the rendering problem could be fixed, I would dump opera mini and netfront in a heartbeat!
i like this app too, really nice.
someone has tried to browse a youtube video? i think this are flash movies, so i have installed flashplayer 7 (adobe(macromedia)), but the site alwayr return: Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Flash Player.
anyone knows how to solve this problem?
regards, chief
sweet!
Thanks guys, brings me back to the Sony UX50 days, a very capable browser.
I found out that the browser can only reach internet by using WIFI. when i tried to use cellular line, it did not work.
any idea to solve this? the software is very very good....
Hi all,
First off, check out this site I was turned on to
(Go to it on a PC though to see how it works...)
www.tv-links.co.uk
It's a TON of tv shows/movies that you can stream for free.
Click on a show... any show, and see how it opens a new IE window and streams. This is where I'm a little hazy on what's happening. I'm not sure what's going on "Html-code-wise" to know why it won't work on my Tytn.
I've tried PIE and Opera, and set them both to be recognized as a desktop, but nothing will stream the content. It does open a new window, but then nothing happens. I'm doing this over HSDPA so I don't think speed is the issue at all.
This would be a great site to be able to get to our Tytn's. Can anyone figure out how to do it, or at least tell me what is happening that is not yet supported by mobile browsers?
the flash player in WM6 is not the full fledged desktop application to my knowledge. this website utilizes some Flash 9 components that just aren't in the mobile version. (again, to my knowledge).

And this is truly a shame. I had tried months ago to view ComedyCentral's Jon Stewart clips, to no avail...for the same reason.
I wonder how long it's going to take for Adobe to give us something for WM devices that works with the new security features they've built into the newer desktop versions.

Hmmm ... Flash Player Mobile, eh? I DL'd the trial, and I'll check it out with Jon Stewart tomorrow.
Thank you VERY MUCH! I hope this works, Diem! If it does, I owe you a beer or two.

[UPDATE] OK, I installed the Flash Player Mobile app this morning, and have tried to view the ComedyCentral videos. FWIW, I still cannot view them. The site still comes up only with links to upgrade my Flash Player wherever a link to a video should be. There does not seem to be any way to DL the flash files to play them locally.
Maybe I'll browse through that second URL left by Diem, and see if I can find anything there that works.
FWIW, I left a Q with Comedy Central, explaining the issue and asking if they would/could do anything to support us users with WM devices ... maybe provide an alternative media format that will work with our devices. I'll post back to this thread if/when I hear back from them.
Also FWIW, I did NOT try to view the URL provided by the OP ... so maybe he's finding success with this app.
Sorry Diem ... no beers for you yet [/UPDATE]
so I am to understand that the flash player that comes with WM6 now is the Macromedia (Adobe) Flash ActiveX 7.0 for Pocket PC, and this mobile version does not rely on ActiveX?
Dont ask me nothing I'm just waiting for a sweet cold Heiniken

Ahhhh, but THAT deal was only good if I got to view Jon on my Hermes. As it didn't work, you'll have to be happy with H2O
So if you want a glass, come on over, I've got a whole tapful
Seriously, I wish Adobe would catch us up with their desktop offerings, or some of these video sites would post in a format we could use.
Oh well ... it is what it is. I've already got plenty of other stuff that works fine, and keeps me using my device for more hours in the day than is good for me.

I don't think the videos shown on the tv links site that I posted have anything to do with Flash. Dapzmob was probably the closest by calling Divx. Hope you guys figure out your Jon Stewart stuff nonetheless.
In anyone knows of a player that can play Divx AND integrates with PIE through a plugin, please let me know!
hello everyone, can someone tell me if there's a way for me to view full websites and youtube on the htc ppc6800? I just got it like a week ago and the websites won't load up properly. any help would be much appreciated.

If you use Opera Mobile (any version really, but IMHO 9.5 beta builds are the best around) for the internet, and try milesmowbrays youtubeplay for YouTube content.
hey, thanx! the opera works great, BUT.... some of the websites say something along the lines of "you need the latest version of flashplayer to view this website" is there any way around that? by the way thanx 4 taking time 2 reply! I appreciate it.

Flash won't run "in browser" on WM.
You can try the TCPMP flash bundle (Google is your friend!) and for YouTube videos, youtubeplay works great.
I just downloaded TCPMP and something called the videoflashbundle (which I totally recommend to all newbies who want to see youtube and other videos) thankyou so much for all your help! you saved me a lot of stress.
Next time you have questions, I'd recommen the sticky thread in "Development and Hacking"
Theres a few people on the forum with the device already so if its not too much of a hassle for your guys can you give us some insight on the devices .
i've got a couple of questions, for those with it. Can you guys test downloading a mp3 through the browser
can u go to this link and dl the mp3 on the phones browser to see if it adds to ur music library http://bit.ly/b1iS0C
i just would like to know how it handles downloading music or any other files thru the web browser, does it let u manage the picture or mp3 and let u add it to ur library on the phone (without using a computer)
I am interested in knowing this as well.
I think that music cannot be downloaded via the browser as I don't think users are allowed to access the file system.

Well i asked someone on twitter who had access to a test unit and he said it saves from the browser and plays but was unable to add it to the library or atleast he didnt know how to. But maybe all this has changed in the release build of wp7
Just streams the file. Cannot see an option to save it.
I do hope we're able to download stuff to our phones. It would be silly to not have that as an option.

Can the browser stream any mobile videos or just YouTube vids?

Just youtube vids. But it is not working for most websites with embedded youtube vids.
m.youtube.com works.
www.youtube.com will have a upgrade your flash player msg.
MS needs to fix this soon!
I'm sure Adobe will release Flash 10.1 for WP7 soon. They don't want everyone complaining that XVideos.com wont work, lol

That's interesting since microsoft claimed they want to stay away from activex and seeing how they brought almost desktop ie to the os if they were support adobe flash that means activex will be introduced, well good luck with that

Surely users are able to manage the space where their music is stored? (Much like they can do with photos) How else would you load songs onto your phone from Zune?

I think leaving Flash would be a good idea and go the same that Apples going as I think flash is messy and buggy.
HTML5 will be the way forward, however if users NEED flash then hopefully they will make it optional.

Hi.
I am based overseas and I know there are restrictions placed on video streaming outside of US. If there are some ways to bypass this restriction, please share .... thanks
Not sure, but I'd say VPN, but it's more trouble and costly than it's worth. And I always feel like the VPN servers are snooping at what I'm doing. :-D
I live in Japan and Unblock-us works great for me, we watch netflix, amazon videos, etc, very easy to set up and it works perfectly on Kindle fire.

Register on unblock-us for a one week trial, change your DNS with the ones provided and then, if you thinks it's worth it, pay for an annual subscribtion ( as I did ). And honestly is worth every single cent, since I can also stream HD videos on my PS3 ( using the Netflix app ) with no glitches or interruptions.

Hi! Like Stocaprimo said, you can try the service for free first, just go to their website, unblock-us. I tried for maybe 15 minutes just to see if it really worked and was very happy with it, I could watch Netflix on apple tv for the first time and on kindle fire too and it's only five dollars a month, I changed the DNS on my router (netgear)with the one they provided and now all the computers and tablets plus iPads work great, it's like we were back in the US. Hope it works for you.

I was facing similar problem as I am a big fan of US netflix but when I moved to sweden, was missing it. Then I tried various options to get access and thank God an expert suggested me unotelly. It is a DNS service, now I can get access to netflix, hulu and rest of the popular US channels without any glitch. try their free 7 days version and you will love it for sure. If you need any help, just let me know I will assist you to install it.
