This is not normal behavior. I use a Class 6 32 gig SanDisk, no problems. Have you tried using QuickPic from the Play Store to see if the problem occurs there as well. If yes, it's probably an IO issue otherwise something to do with Gallery app.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2

Quickpic loads instantly..
I cleared data and cache on gallery and it is still the same..opening gallery now loads fast but not instant..but if opened through whatsapp then it still takes 5 secs to showup the photos..
I guess because it loads fb and picasa pics..no way to turn them off though..

Well, you can use QuickPic to choose as a workaround. Secondly, I don't know about FB but you can turn off Picasa sync if you don't need it (from Google account sync options). For FB, I don't seem to have an option for syncing photos - - how are you doing that anyways?

It shows all my fb albums in gallery by default..even I dnt know how..

Hmmm... Must be a Samsung feature. I have frozen most of that bloat but it's probably there in some Social Hub type feature.

You can switch off fb album sync under settings > accounts > facebook > "your name".

Under your Google sync options uncheck Photos.
Clear your Gallery's cache.
Its still showing, I even turned off syncing to Google+ and it still shows.

Try clearing gallery data as well.
After I changed the settings, I went to all apps under settings, forced stop the gallery, cleared all data, restarted my phone but still showing.

Any ideas?

That's all I got.
Assuming you've turned off photo sync under Settings>Accounts>Google (not in Google +), and then cleared Gallery data/cache you've done everything I do to get rid of them.

Facebook update put ALL of my fb pics in gallery

How in the hell do i get them out of my gallery?! I removed SD. I cleared data in gallery app. I deselected gallery sync in fb app. No matter what they keep coming back in my. It's a lot of pics and it makes my gallery load soo slow.
Help please

Go to settings>under accounts select your Facebook account> then your account again>uncheck sync gallery. Hope that helps

As I mentioned, I did that already.

Do what they said with wiping all data from Facebook and unsync and then delete Facebook and re download it. Just be careful not to sync gallery again
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda premium
Go to manage apps. Delete data and cache for facebook. You dont have to reinstall it I dont think.
Sent from my SGH-I317M using Tapatalk 2
Try settings>storage>miscellaneous and look for outliers there. When Cloud Agent pulled all my dropbox pics, they ended up here and I cleared up 4gb pretty easily.
Disable gallery, unsync facebook photos, delete data from gallery... reboot. . Goo to go.. or u should be

Happened to me some weeks ago. It's the SNS.APK and GALLERY.APK data that needed to be cleared! No need to reboot or unsync anything.
Huh

Galley Rant...

I am getting so frustrated with the stock gallery. I actually installed the 4.2 gallery so I can change my stupid wallpaper. I deleted the gallery cache and everything I try won't fix this junk. Deleting the cache for the gallery used to work but now it still acts real slow after. Does the gallery act up on custom roms also for anyone? If not I might get off of stock rooted and actually install a custom rom.
I have never had gallery problems at all. Ive set all my wallpapers with it. I also have over 700 pics and videos and it wont lag at all even with airview enabled.
Whats your problem specifically ? You just cant set wallpapers?
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
I get major lag (like the gallery takes up to a minute to generate my pictures) when I try to set a wallpaper from settings - Display - Wallpaper or when I open my sms app and try to attach a picture from there.
I never have lag if I go straight into my gallery. I can set wallpapers and share via sms from the gallery without lag.
QuickPic, ftw. Have not used stock gallery for more than 5 minutes total since purchase of Note2.
Slow to load, can't hide folders...
The sidebar feature is nice, but not worth it.

i saw the title and thought this had something to do with pirates.
This is probably happening because you have you google pic syncing and Dropbox and Facebook if you stop your gallery from syncing youll be good to go

Thank you for the advice. I just turned all the syncing off and my gallery still runs real slow.
It's never going to get faster.. It's garbage. Get quickpic and be done with it.

Whenever I try to attach a picture the gallery comes up blank intermittently. At times it takes forever for the gallery too load

Turn wifi off and see if that fixes the lag problem

Animated GIFs

Was wondering if there was a fix or way to enable the sending and receiving of animated gifs in texts for the Note II. I can download and view them in my gallery just fine but when I go to send and/or receive them I just get a still picture. I can send and receive them just fine on my EvoLTE but not on my Note. Is it something manufacturer specific to HTC phones or something that just needs to be enabled?
Thats weird I get them all the time and the move..... I send them too and they work!!!!!

What ROM are you using? I'm on NoWizAOSP and its not working for me. I'm thinking it has something to do with the stock Android MMS app that the ROM uses as opposed to Samsung's. I would try and push the Samsung app back but it doesn't support emoji.

So you think it's the MMS app? I tried Handcent and it still didn't work. I'm thinking it's the stock Android MMS.apk that is doing it.
Stock Gallery app will show animated gifs. You may need to save them first.

Yeah the gallery is fine. Its when I send or receive them in a text that the problem starts. I and the person who gets it only receives a still picture. Now I can send the same animated gif from my EvoLTE and the person gets it animated and when they send it back so do I. But when sent to and from my Note II, even to and from my LTE it doesn't work.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2
I also encounter the same problem and the only solution I found was to save the gif as a video and then attaching it while in goSms cause stock mms app doesn't allow large files attached. They'll receive it as a vid but at least thats something

Omega Rom camera

Sorry if this had been asked, I'm running omega ver 7 on my T mobile s4, everything works flawlessly except camera. It takes photos well, and i preview them and they look fine. But when I share them in Facebook, messages, Google drive, or anywhere else the image quality gets much worse, and even blurry, it's almost like it coverts it to a lower megapixel photo. Anyone had this happened? Any suggestions?

I am running omega7 on m919 with no issues on camera what so ever. sharing pic on facebook, mms, google drive, dropbox, etc, etc. did you change any settings? what's your setup? what kernel you running?
I did not mess with the settings, running kt kernel. Did you try pinching to zoom after sharing the photo? Sometimes is not as noticeable until you zoom in.

Facebook and others compress their photos. They will always be blurry when zoomed in

messages will get compressed and idk about google drive...
pictures that i want clear on facebook get resized first on photoshop and then i click on "high quality" in the fb options.
for messaging, if i need the picture clear i just use dropbox and send them the link to the original image.
dropbox > google drive...just saying
Ever thought about actually posting this in the omega thread?
