I have rooted ATT galaxy S3 flashed with CM10 with the latest nightly as of 10/14. When I first connected my phone through bluetooth to my Audi MMI, it worked and in about 5 minutes or so, the phone disconnected itself from the MMI. I have to reset bluetooth all over again, either on phone or on MMI to pair the phone again. This has been the case every time for CM10.
When I had CM9, this was never a problem and bluetooth would never disconnect. Is this a bug and if so, is there an existing remedy for this? Does anyone else have this problem and was there a workaround that they could found?
Thanks in advance

I have the same phone and same nightly CM 10 ROM. I use GOgroove FlexSMART X2 in my car.
Something is definitely broken in the bluetooth stack in CM 10. I don't get disconnected, but I have a hard time getting connected at times. With stock firmware, everytime I started my car my phone would connect to bluetooth. Now, with CM 10, about 50% of the times it does not connect automatically and it takes about 10 tries to get my phone to connect ( is it pairing? ) with bluetooth in the my car.
What music play are you using?

I have not even tried music, this is just for voice call. Since the phone does not stay connected, I have not tried music. I do not use any external bluetooth system, but the built in Audi bluetooth. It works fine on CM9, but does not work on CM10 and disconnects within 5 minutes of me entering the car.
Damn, this is frustrating!!

I am having a very similar problem, about 5 mins into a phone call the bluetooth disconnects and then 60 seconds later it reconnects, very annoying during a phone call.. I tested using full wipes on Slim 2.7, AOKP 10/11 release and 10/16 release.. all had the same problem.. has taken anywhere from 4 to 10 mins on a phone call before it happens but it will happen multiple times...
hopefully someone has more insight on this.
Similar issue with T-Mobile S3 as well
Except a few nightlies in late September, I have always had this issue - The phone will connect with the car only if you toggle BT on the phone. I have also noticed that if there are no phone calls over the car audio, the phone will reconnect after engine power cycling. The reconnect fails if you terminate a call while still connected... Hopefully this helps narrow it down.
Over the last week or so, I have started experiencing the inconsistency in connecting as well. Before that toggling the BT on phone always worked for me.

no I posted in the AOKP Q&A and nobody answered... I am going to try and copy the files from a TW based rom (files from system/etc/bluetooth) and paste them into AOKP and see if that solves the problem...
Same thing is happening to me. It frequently prompts me to pair even after I've gotten it to pair up with my Kenwood.
i have same problem with SII I with CM upate nightly 10-20121023 connecting to Audi MMI 3G. It disconnects automatically after 1-2 minutes.

BT issue
I have tried all the ROM in the SGS3 I747 thread not the CM10 nightlies. Can confirm it is a problem in all of them , I use BT for voice calls but it disconnects after 10 mins. Works perfect on a rooted TW rooted ROM.
Can someone confirm if there is a fix in the CM10 nightlies ?

I am on 4.04 stock and the problem is, i can connect to the wireless network just fine, and everything works for some time.
Quite soon, no webpages open anymore and everything just gets timed out. The connection, however, is there and signal is perfect.
I slide wifi off, then on, it reconnects and everything works again for a short period. Any idea what could be causing this and what a workaround could be?
Have you tried resetting your wireless router and modem? Sometimes that happens to me, no matter what device or rom I'm using. Shows it perfectly connected but nothing opens. I make a habit to reset my modem and router weekly now to avoid it.

Try reinserting your sim card, helped me a couple of times
Well, that's the thing. No mods, no nothing extra running, battery full or almost empty makes no difference. Sometimes the connection dies in one minute, the phone's personal best is like 10 minutes probably
I will try and remove the simcard, however i am unsure how this could affect anything. I am willing to try anything at this point, this is realy frustrating.

I have been using MIUI 2.11.9 for my SAMSUNG i747. I was extremely happy with MIUI except for the bluetooth issue:
I have been using the previous AT&T stock version (Android 4.0), the bluetooth connection with my car can always stick. However, after I flashed to MIUI, the bluetooth connection will drop after several minutes' inactivity. I will have to turn the phone back on and reset the bluetooth to let them connected again.
Please give me some help! I have been googled and searched and couldn't find any solution. Does this mean it cannot be solved? Is this a Jelly bean problem or ROM problem? Is it possible to fix it?
Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

I tested recently and found it's related with "sleep" in the phone. Is there any way to set the bluetooth stay on while the phone is sleeping? Or is it possible to set the longer wait time for "sleeping", right now, the longest time is 10minutes in this ROM.
Thanks!!

Hey guys,
I got tired of the Bluetooth headset issue stopping me from using cm10.1 as my daily driver on long car rides. So here is a temporary fix I made by reverting these two commits and rebuilding the CM kernel.
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/lge-...e1dd464b1e5aba74f7293c5e18f#drivers/bluetooth
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/lge-...49e0a49c9d90f2bafbf08822863#drivers/bluetooth
The official bug report can be found here, https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/CYAN-518. If you are affected by this please head over and vote for it.
This is a temporary fix until CM patches the bug. I haven't had the time to really test the impacts of the reverting but it does cause a wake lock when BT is on. When I find time I'm going to look into fixing the removed code instead of simply removing it. Any other dev is welcome to pitch in. Current work on this project can be found here, https://github.com/nexwave-mat/lge-kernel-iproj/tree/cm-10.1-bluefix.
Usual policies apply. This is a WIP and I do not take any responsibility for problems resulting from its use.

For those flashing WIND kernel along with this fix, make sure you flash the fix after flashing WIND and not the other way around because, correct me if im wrong, flashing WIND over the fix will overwrite the BT commits.

Full stock would imply without Wind. For that matter, and sorry if I wasn't clear, the fix is a custom build kernel. It replaces Wind or any other kernel currently on the device. The only changes between my "fix" kernel and stock are the two reverted commits in the OP.
If time permits I will look into it more and come up with a better solution. Although I read in an other post that @rmcc might be looking into this issue shortly. Although nothing is for sure...

Official CM patch
It seams there was a patch for our Bluetooth issue merge into the CM kernel a short while ago, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2140790&page=27#269.
@lyfkevin correct me if I'm wrong but I thing it would be better to revert your current Bluetooth fixes and merge CM's patch for version 2.0 of your WIND kernel. In theory it should stop crashes and allow deep sleep with BT on. Now we just need to test it. Let me know if and when you will have a new build up and I will gladly test it out.

I just added a comment to the CYAN-518 that might explain some of the issues, or perhaps an additional bluetooth issue in cyanogen.
Just a quick note, I'm running the nightly 5/11 (day after the RC2 release). I'm able to connect to my Bluetooth portable speaker no problem and also I have a Sensordrone bluetooth device (multiple environment meters in one) and no issues connecting with that either.
...Previously I had the 5/6 nightly and it didn't even "see" any bluetooth devices.

Are there any JB/4.2.2 Roms with the ICS Bluetooth Stack? Is this even possible? I've recently flashed CM 10.1 RC2 and love the project butter feel - it's amazing, but my bluetooth is so unreliable as to render it useless - says it's connected, try to make a call, and it won't connect to the car... and then sometimes will then come up 4 minutes into the conversation, etc.
I didn't have these troubles on earlier Android versions, and it's driving me to get a new phone sooner than I'd like.

Even the stock Gingerbread firmware wouldn't work with bluetooth keyboards (the stock ICS just cops out and has a message pop up that says that the phone is not compatible with bluetooth keyboards!). I found that only Cyanogenmod 9 RC1 and RC2, and Cyanogenmod 10.1.x stable builds work with bluetooth keyboards. Try Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 and see if that fixes the bluetooth problem.

I should try that version.
HoNo!'s almost-stock V20F and Sphinx 4.1 are the ones I found to have a reliable BT connection to FORD Sync, automatic connection. Everything else I tried I have to manually connect it and sometimes I have to do it 3-4 times to get connected with the exception of Carbon ROM which is pretty much 1 shot and it would be connected. I wouldn't even care for BT if it is not for the cellphone use bylaw in our town.
