[Q] Wifi issues - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I received a CNL Verizon Nexus due to charging port issues. When I connect to my home Wifi or any other Wifi for that matter, when I browse Web pages or try to download something, the Wifi connection kicks off and then comes back on. I have full strength signal yet it constantly disconnects and reconnects. I've tried changing to static and 2.4 and 5 ghz with no luck. Is this a phone problem or something else. Stock Nexus running Jro03o JB.

[Q] Connection Issues on 3G and HSDPA

Hello everyone, anyone here suffered issues on their DHD when being oh 3G or HSDPA?
I'm from singapore and I'm running on Starhub's network.
What I see on my DHD is that the reception strength is full. and when I attempt to connect to the internet to browse websites or android market or whatever that requires internet connection, I would see the upload arrow light up...
However, it stays either lit up for a long time or just goes on and off... and I don't see the download arrow light up at all...
Only after a long time when it finally decides to disconnect itself from the network and reconnect itself again, then I can get internet connection.
I can also resolve it by manually forcing the radio to reconnect itself.
Anyone experiencing this too? I'm wondering is it a fault on my device or a common DHD problem.
I'm on stock Rom updated to 2.2.1

[Q] Wifi not connecting to closest signal

I ROOTED and unlocked my phone as soon as the option was available. Afterwards I entered the *#6335623# to change the wifi popup. Ever since I've had to manually connect the wifi to the closest signal. I've tried to use the same *#6335623# code on the dialer but it doesn't come up any longer. Has anyone had this issue because I haven't seen it posted anywhere.
I'm running Aokp on the latest vrlhe radio.
Does anyone have any ideas. It seems that it now not only doesn't auto connect to closest wifi, its starting to say that all the connects are poor signals even when 10 ft away from the wifi box.
Uncheck the poor signal option under advanced settings, and see if that fixes it.

Wifi problems?

Is the wireless on anyone's new n7 cutting out at random? Every so often (between 5 and 30 minutes) the wifi on my n7 becomes unresponsive and stops sending/receiving traffic. Signal strength is fine, the connection never actually drops and no other devices on the network are affected. Manually disconnecting then reconnecting fixes things every time.
Stock firmware, rooted.
No problems here, have you tried toggling wifi optimization and wifi power save.

I was having a similar problem where my wifi speed would drop significantly after awhile from my normal 18-20 mbps to around 4-5 mpbs. Only after toggling wifi on and off did my speed ramp back up. This happened several times.
Then I changed the "Wifi frequency band" in the advanced wifi settings from "Auto" to "2.4 mHZ only" and the problem seems to be gone.
I had this issue before. Verify that your wireless kernel module isn't coring out. Replacing my device fixed it. Original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2380209

I've had this problem yesterday, I was able to find a solution by restarting my router. Now it works perfectly fine.

[Q] WiFi holds onto weak signal for dear life

My Galaxy Nexus somehow always tries to connect withw router downstairs in the living room on the far side of the house, while there is a wireless router right in my room. My laptop doesn't have this probem and neither does my Nexus 7. What the heck causes this annoying behavior and how do I make it stop? I have already checked the option not to use weak signals but that does not work. I also had the SSID/Password simply not on this phone for a while, but now there is a national hotspot thing and now my Galaxy Nexus keeps connecting to the hotspot.
Manually choosing the router in my room makes it stay for a while, but whenever I'm near the living room router again, it automatically switches to that and holds onto that with dear life. If I'm back in my room, that WiFi reception is 0 and net services stop working, however, it still won't drop for the stronger signal or even just 3G...
GSM Galaxy Nexus (Happens on stock 4.2 to 4.2.2 and all custom ROMs I have used)
Downstairs: Ubee EWV 3200 (Provided by my ISP, Ziggo)
Upstairs: TP-Link TL-WR1043ND
Again, other devices work fine.

[Q] Wifi issues

Hey guys,
So all of a sudden, my wifi is searching and not connecting in a campus setting. My Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 is still connected to the same wifi my Note 4 was. I have tried rebooting, removing battery, shutting off and on data and wifi, and airplane mode. Nothing reconnects it. Also tried forgetting all networks since there are 5 when searching for networks it finds and reconnecting to one, still no dice. It's been 4 hours, still can't reconnect. Any ideas?

Have you tried to forget the network and then ADD it with + Add Wi-Fi network? I actually had an issue playing with a Galaxy note 10.1 2012 edition, I turned my hotspot (sprint note 4) on and named it the same as our current network (was showing how open networks aren't always the network they say and anybody can create a Starbucks-Guest network.... I used starbucks-guest because I didn't want to put my schools on here). The tablet didn't see the network even after reboots, but when I added the network manually it connected right away. Also was this connecting to the same access points or different ones on the other side of campus?
Yep tried forgetting, re-adding the wifi spot and nothing.
I've been having wifi connection issues since day one of getting this phone.
Not sure if I have the same problem.
But at least once a day, it seems the phone can no longer make a connection to my wifi.
The only solution is to either just power off the phone and restart or do what Sprint asked me to do.
Sprint said to try and reset the network connection information by dialing ##72786#
The phone will power off and then restart do some background stuff and then power off again and restart.
Once that is done, all is fine.
I've never had this happen on any other of my Android devices. I even use a static IP with my phone setup.
And yes, I have tried just using the default of DHCP.
I had thought it was my router (Asus RT-AC68U) which transmits both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. I have both setup and I try to use 5ghz the most.
I did upgrade the router software because I was one version behind, but that did not fix anything.
Also, I had a Sprint femocell in my house (provided for free from Sprint) because I had bad signal issues years ago.. But because this phone uses LTE and now it seems the phone comes with built-in WiFi Calling. (Means instead of using the cellular network it will use my network and ISP to make Sprint calls, all voice and text messages come through normally, it's basically a built-in femocell).
I returned that, whoops still in the box, need to get that mailed out fast.
I'm not sure how widespread this issue is, but I suspect it's bigger that just the two of us here. And if I'm in the wrong thread, please let m know.
Thanks
Rob
