Cant boot into recovery after flashing a rom - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I flashed Omega rom today. It uses Aroma installer which i think could be the problem. Basically I cant boot into recovery. The rom is also very laggy where people on its development thread are praising it stability! The device will stay on the 'Samsung galaxy note II gt17100' bootscreen when i try to.boot into recovery. Any ideas anyone?

What does it say?
Also. Why do you need to flash cwm? Just a question, since you're already on a custom ROM, which leads me to believe that you already have it. ;P
If its for updating cwm so you can flash aokp or cm10 it should just say select device than ATT Galaxy S3.
Is ROM manager asking for permissions from superuser?

My issue is when I try to update cwm, there is no option for an att Samsung galaxy s3. If you don't flash cwm none of the features of rom manager will work....To my knowledge.

[Q] CWM Won't Recognize My GS3 I747M

Need some help flashing ROMs etc........ I have CMW 6012 recovery on my GS3 i747M trying to flash through ROM Manager Premium 5021, when I try to flash into recovery my phone is not listed in the drop down menu in fact no GS3 devices are listed.

i read somewhere this is a glitch in the app and that it was being looked into.. wish i could remember what thread i read that in.. I read it maye 4 days ago in one of the noobie stickies i think.... so my suggestion would just be to manually flash from cwm recovery

Re-installing cwm from ROM manager didn't work, it still wants to know what phone I have and it isn't listed. I have uninstalled cwm, reset my phone to factory settings and re-rooted a few time now with the same results. It's mildly frustrating......
I never had this problem with my S and S2.
Any more suggestions welcome.
Try team win recovery project(twrp). I never heard of anyone having an issue like yours.

n7100 can't on

i just have a problem on my note 2.. it happened because i have tried to backup my current ROM using Rom Manager,
and it shows first start up screen more than 1hour. normally about 5-10minutes..
then i removed my battery and restart the phone, unfortunately the phone was
only the first start-up screen (SAMSUNG GALAXY GT-N7100) till now.
what does happen? can you help me to do something?
before im using Omega Rom. it was rooted by my friend..
Just flash the omega Rom through recovery again without doing any wipe.

Seems like you cannot get the phone to go beyond the boot screen. Is the phone bootlooping?
In both cases abovebi would recommend you try get to recovery menu and factory reset then cache wipe and reboot. Otherwise use odin to flash new rom- this hasbto be a stock rom from a region your phone relates to. Hope this helps.

[Q] GS4 M919, Installing Infamous v4 bootloop

question im usually ok with instructions and installing roms and kernals, but ever since i got this gs4 for tmobile, when i try and flash roms thru TWRP, it keeps bootlooping. any ideas? yes i wipe system/data/dalvik/cache before and then let it sit for a while.
Have you tried clockwork?

-If you're using TWRP 2.6 you might want to try v2.5.0.2 instead.(or CWM)
-If you have a 64gb card in it you need to use Infamous S4 kernel or format it to FAT32

I had the twrp 2.6 installed on my tmo s4 flashed infamous couple of times no boot loop but the dual camera wouldn't work. Then install cwm recovery reflashed Infamous and it's working fine now.

Can you get download mode? Try flashing phils recovery with odin see if that works

You can only flash recovery via Odin. Must be wrong recovery you flashed. Same happened to me. Or if you can boot into Rom find app like goo manager with reboot to recovery and see if that works
