They are not compatible for a reason. Mainly hardware's fault.
its probably just an Android thing, like some apps work on Android 2.2+ and some apps will only work on Android 4.+

Your question is fail on so many levels that I shouldn't even bother. Namely, an answer to your question is so thoroughly described over past three years that it can be found on almost every corner. Second, rom you quoted doesn't work that much that if you couldn't restore the rom you just use, the only place your phone would be appropriate for would be garbage bin. Third, totally unrelated in any aspect with the topic here.

Yes it does, but on the page you downloaded the apk there is a reason why it is incompatible. It is much better than it was before, but it is too damn slow on Desire that it looks like a joke compared to other browsers. I can't say what would happen on fastrr/better hardware, so that could be a reason too.

It ran pretty good better then GB and Froyo launchers. I guess things are looking up for android. Now I'm wondering can 2.4 run on our devices? Ummmmm Hey GB is running on the G1 anything is possible.

Yeah I was going to say, because certain things like the "Running Apps" multitasking doesn't work right. Also it looks fairly amateurish in general anyway. Good try at this though, the overall job is pretty nice.

google says anything that is capable of running 2.3 will be able to run ICS. doubt htc and tmo will spend the time to give this phone an official release. keep the fingers cross that cm8 will support us. i'm pretty sure it will. this phone has a pretty big following.

any updates since nexus launched?
do it was made from the source??
Nope, it's just a clone/replica.
VirginMobile has just added this phone. Does anyone know if it has an true FM radio? I don't want to listen by streaming over the net.
Thanks,
Nick
Hi
Yes it has.
But you should have posted this in Q&A

Forgot to ask. Does it come with a built-in radio app or does one need to use Spirit FM?

Inbuilt with Soundhound integration. Google would have sufficed though.

Just to double check: this is a VirginMobile phone, right?
Hi
Dont think that they use "custom" hardware - right?
So the FM is always available. The Radio app ist part of
the "stock" apps
Regards
max
OK. I'm getting one in a few days and will post back with findings.
are you getting the Virgin mobile? and is it true they dont allow roaming? -.-
I just got the phone. There's an FM radio in the VirginMobile HTC One V but there isn't an built-in app (that I could easily find so far).
If you have an icon for the HTC Hub, you can find an FM radio widget under HTC Essentials.
Found it in HTC Essentials however it seems to crash HTC Sense I'll have to take it up with HTC and hopefully they can fix it.

Same here. I have a rooted Virgin mobile us htc one v with the stock rom. Is your device rooted as well? I wonder if that might be the problem. It's frustrating because I know the one v has a built in FM radio. Have you heard anything from HTC?
Spirit works wonderfully with this phone, for what it's worth.

Yes, I have the virgin mobile version. Make sure to have headphones plugged in, they serve as an antenna.
Putting the FM Radio apk in system/app worked. So it does have an fm radio.

well, i believe it will be done sooner or later because desire has the potential to run "that".
In my opinion, I don't think it will be possible to run ubuntu on a low end device like desire.
And if some devs managed to do this, it will have a lot of performance/stability issues.
Even if someone would port it I expect the performance to be subpar so no point.
G7 can run ubuntu .

desire just single core i think not work in desire
I think Android is based on Linux, if the developers think we could have verifications Ubuntu on Desire.
"The instructions for porting are pretty straightforward. Since Ubuntu Touch is just a CyanogenMod 10.1 base with the Ubuntu Touch interface running in a container and accessed via chroot, if your device currently runs CM10.1 then you’ll be able to port this."
I think it is closer to port Ubuntu Touch on HTC Desire than we thought...

Deem noooob . Just download another camera app from play store.
Depends what you mean by "better", it comes with 2 camera apps, both of which seem to take pretty good pictures. Only thing they don't have is the option to crappify the images by adding senseless filters, not being a 13 year old girl I'm ok with that.

I was running 5.0 for a couple of months till I upgraded to 6.0 last week. I wasn't as happy with the new design at first, and was already thinking about going back to 5.0, but then 7.0 came it and it right out blew me away. It's like a totally new phone, so smooth!
As for the camera, I've never even considered that the low saturation might be due to the camera app that comes with the rom - I think the Desire's cam is just crappy to begin with. :/
Hello guys is it possible to run this app on Rooted device?

There was a thread last year with modded versions of SkyGo for non-supported devices. Initially it worked with a build.prop edit, but sky soon changed the apk to check for root, which can be hidden but not on a custom kernel...
