Click on the background or foreground color in PS. Then you will see a text box on the side. Type in the 6 digit hex without the #. It will give you the color and display what it will look like. Hit enter. You have selected the color.

I been lookin into skinnin the dialer in my ROM. I'm wanting to go black but am unable to find all the necessary files I need to edit.
Anyone know all the files needing to be edited?
All the images for the dialer are in Contacts.apk. Careful though, most are the tricky .9.png types. Finally for anything fancy like transparent background for the dialer as a whole, you'll need to decompile and modify xml, I believe.
FYI- Images and functions for in-call screens are in Phone.apk.

i dont have a contacts.apk... just a htccontact which dont contain any dialer images or I'm completely missing something
Sorry I was describing for a vanilla setup. No idea what apk serves up the dialer in Sense.

What rom are you using? I have a custom HtcDialer.apk that I modded to have white text and I have a metamorph to change the images in the resources as well. I'd be happy to share - the dialer is from Virtuous 3.1.
The only thing I haven't figure out is how to change the text when you're in a call. For some reason, when in a call, the dialer text turns back to black. I'm still trying to figure it out. If anyone happens to know what has to be changed to make the text white in a call, PM me!
IncROM is the Rom I want to skin

That thread is very helpful. I haven't ventured into changing the font yet, I just wanted to change the numbers to white and add a new button background which wasn't too bad.

If you were able to get it to work I'd like a black one with white numbers if you could post it.I'm using sky raider by the way.
Attached are the 2 files you requested. They are from the 3.26.605.1 leak, incase specifics are needed. Also, I will be sure to give you the credit when they make it into one of my ROM updates.
Thanks again OSully... most appreciated!!
I'm trying to change the text color of whats in the status bar such as clock, date, when "media scanner" pops up and all that stuff. Does anyone know where I could find that .xml?
Edit: so I found out how to get all the writing that shows on the left side but where would I find the clock color's .xml?

If you use AOKP you don't need to edit anything and change the colors easily through settings.
Unless your planning to do this on TW or making a theme?

Yup its a TW theme. And I found the color of everything on the left side in systemui/res/layout/statusbar.xml but I can't find the clocks color.

The ics theme is a great example of the clock color. And I even tried mixing some xmls and stuff from that one into my themes and sometimes it worked but I never figured out what it was exactly.
Ill check it out and see, thanks.

To change the clock color you need to decompile the classes.dex file in system UI. There is one line in the clock.smali that needs to be changed. I don't remember what line number it was though.

Hello, am trying to customize the notification dropdown on my Jedi X12 ROM, using the NinjaMorph app, to replace the image within the
"framework-res.apk" to a custom image. I'm having an issue identifying which file it is within the apk. Does anyone know the file name for the graphic? Or perhaps an easier way to accomplish what I'm trying to do?
Any help is greatly appreciated

It may be a color code as opposed to an image... you will likely need to look through the relevant statusbar_expanded layout xml (or maybe even in drawables.xml).

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how to change the text color of dialer keypad.
Since past 2-3 days I have tried out lots of stuff but couldn't find a way
1) Color is set in a separate file inside the Dialer.apk.
2) Color is set by it's code within one of the .xml files.
Only these 2 are possible. I have not worked on Dialer myself, so I cannot help any further.

Yeah, I tried changing every .xml files with @Color/white to "#33B5E5" from SemcPhone, framework-res and Phonebook.apk but still no changes, keypad text is still white.
Using CM?
If yes, try to download a theme and move it to your pc. Maybe it will be easier to find what you are looki g for
