Battery Problem on AOSP Derived Roms - HTC One X

Hi,
When I'm using an aosp derived rom(aosp/aokp/cm/pa...) my battery really sucks. I'm losing %1 per minute when screen on even while not using it. I tried multiple kernel and rom combinations result is almost same. I can get 4h of screen on time with gaming, on sense based roms. Any reasons for that. What I'm doing wrong?
Note: I always full wipe when changing rom bases and clear battery stats

Is it possible that something like media server is consuming it due to rogue media files on sdcard?
Have you tried using bbs to see what's going on in the background?

Nope, I'm not using any media servers. I will try bbs soon as my phone charges, its charging right now.

I too am having this issue! I've tried a bunch of AOSP ROMs and fully wipe the device prior to every install however my Android OS drain is always really high! It's like something is running that won't let the system sleep. I never have this problem on Sense based ROMs and I have exactly the same apps installed.

charge 100% got to recovery then reset battery stats
hope i helped hit the thanks button

q: why is my home screen loading so slow?

After exiting my programs and pressing home button..my load screen is extremtly slow in loading the clock and icons.
Also my typing is super laggy. Seems to have half a second delay when typing or deleting.
I feel after i rooted and flashed its been much slower
How can i solve this?
Without knowing more it would be hard to troubleshoot.
First thing I would look at is memory and cpu usage with something like system tuner.
Then look at your rom/kernel (most likely the problem)

What am i looking for when i look at my Rom and kernel?
Also how do i use system tuner?
Normal stuff like cpu usage.. If you notice you have a lot of third party widgets taking a lot of cpu etc..
Regarding rom, might want to ask in that thread see if others have the same problem.. Also might want to try basic stuff like wiping cache..

why would you regret rooting? Seems silly I've rooted a bunch of devices with no issues like yours, its obviously something else that's slowing you down

Yes but ive had it in before and it wasn't an issue. I also turned it off and still laggy
Well what I would do is just start over from the beginning, wipe everything then reflash your rom and then see if everything goes back to normal

AOSP question?

I keep switching between Twiz and AOSP because of two big problems I'm having with AOSP 3.4.x based ROMs.
1. Call quality is poor often.
2. Most if not all custom kernels are causing SODs.
3. AOSP Messaging client doesn't send MMS through WiFi. I have to shut off WiFi and leave the toggle for data on. (Is this normal?)
I have clean wiped (wiped cache, dalvik, system, etc) before each of my installs of AOSP based ROMs.
Additional information : I'm using TWRP 2.5.0.0 and the latest modem. I'm not undervolting when the crashes occur or when poor call quality happens.
Thanks for your time and please let me know of theres other information I can give to assist you in assisting me.

Someome who can compile a rom and such always baffles me when they have questions lol, if you'd like I have LiquidSmooth rc2 with my headphone fix (headphones were broken cause of the usr/keylayout and I stumbled across and fixed it, so that you can control calls and changing music tracks and such) that was the only bug I saw with rc2 so its my go to stable AOSP rom. It is a 3.0 kernel and I have no complaints from people on call quality. If you would like I can dig up the link for you.

Please do. And lol, yeah I can be quite a noob sometimes. Compiling a ROM on Linux is easy though, it doesn't require any particular skills other than reading and following directions. Until you run into a stupid error, than you spend about 5 hours on that one error alone.

Media/Download using up alot of battery?!

Put a new battery on my phone since I've been having charging problems (yes I've tried different cables this was last resort), battery was fully charged turned phone on and left it alone for half hour. I check the phone and it's gone down to 90% in that time.. I checked Gsam to see what was using up the battery and 70% was being used by "Media" im not downloading anything so I don't know why it's using up so much power...
I'm on Slim Rom Build 7 with K7 kernel if that's any help but I've been having battery problems/charging problems for awhile now no matter what Rom I use... stone have any ideas why it would be draining my battery like that?
Move your media files off your phone, then clear data on Media Storage and reboot. Wait a bit and watch for it to continue. If it stops acting up, copy your files back to your device.
This used to be a big issue last year with all our leaked firmware. Media scanner would hang up on something causing it.

Oh and if that doesn't solve it, you will need to post a lot more info for us to go much further. Including BBS and screenshots of the processes listed under Media.

Which KK Rom is the smoothest

Which custom rom run the smoothest & doesnt eat up all the battery? Out of curiosity cos I tried them all I think & I cant tell >.< lool

Can't help you there buddy. Every phone is different and every user has their different tastes. Asking which is smoother is like asking which is better. I know you said you've tried them all but if you can't tell the difference then why is it a problem? As long as it isn't freezing up on you or stuttering I'd say they are all smooth. Want smoother? Play around with the CPU and Governer settings. Just dont set them too low. Good luck

Have an issue with DS-NE5v1-ButtNaked

Ok so first off I have been around xda for quite some time but have never really posted to threads so basically I would like to get more involved in the community,
My issue that I have is with dicksteele's DS-NE5v1-ButtNaked Rom. I get random lockups so where only my power button works to turn the screen on and off but I have to end up rebooting the phone by taking out the battery. My phone randomly restarts also. Has anybody else ran into these issues and found a solution?
Have you already tried wiping and reflashing?

Thanks man, after I saw this post I saw somebody start another topic about this and saw it could be some bad settings in my kernel. I changed a few settings and so far so good, but I will try your settings also to see how that runs. Thanks again guys for the help!

@lonesoulja I have the same issues. Random reboot while phone is just sitting on my desk and lockups where a battery pull is the only option. I don't think my phone likes agni or the agni settings.

Man....I totally jinxed myself. Literally 5 mins after I made that previous post my phone locked up again. Did a battery pull and the phone just freezes at the Samsung boot screen. Battery pull again and try vol up home power to get into custom recovery and it gets to the TWRP blue screen and looks like its going to start then reboots again then freezes at Samsung. Tried it 20 times pulling the battery with no luck. Now I am just letting it sit and charging up my old iPhone....good lord.

Where do I find that out? I'm using agni and I see cpu min and max frequencies and cpu and gpu undervolting(which are both off by the way) but I don't know where to find the volts for that frequency range.

Download trickster mod in the play store and in the 3 page you have to scroll down a bit to find the voltages at whatever frequency
