[Q] Viper or ARHD - HTC One X

hi guys i wanted to ask about the best battery life roms viper or ARHD all on faux's 010m kernel wich has the best battery ?

i tried arhd and viper on faux 10u and i have to say i get very close battery life, approx 1.5 days wifi time with screen on for around 2-5 hours total(minimal usage), but i prefer Venom for the tweaks i felt they are more stable/reliable and had more options.

the one x is an awesome phone but battery is a big problem thanks veck
any more accurate answers

Same kernel, same base, how different could they be?

big deference with the tweaks ETC it all counts

Viper X, just... Just yes.

sense is a UI not an OS
as for battery life, it depends on ur needs, live wallpaper, auto sync, 3G and wifi etc.... i'd say the stock 2.2 would do the job
Leedroid 2.3d with coutt's kernel gave me the best battery life.
Now on a HD Port (see siganture) - also having a good battery life - up to 2.5days.

so u swapped out the official leedroid kernel for coutts and it improved battery life? im on leedroid right now but lattery isnt reallky impressing me. ive had it running 17 hours and i got like 54 percent.
You probably won't get much better battery life, it really depends on your usage. Also, since your on telus you always have 3g on so that drains it quite a bit more. I can last a lot longer if i'm on 2g compared to 3g on fido.

[Q] What ROM would you suggest?

Helllo everyone
Just posting here to see what everyone thinks. I'm currently a CyanogenMod 7 user, and am looking to try a new ROM or two
I want good battery life, I get 2 steady days with decent usage at the minute from CM7 on my stock radio and also am a customisation freak. I love making my Desire HD look like no one else's does
Can anyone suggest a good ROM for me and why?
Also what is everyone's favourite and why?

Try MIUI, its much nicer to look at than standard CM7.

If it is not important for you to lose HTC sense, MIUI is nice in spite of the fact that it looks like too much the IOS IPHONE
CM 7.0.0 HAS a bad battery drain but its fixed in the cyanogenmod 7.0.2... now the battery works for a long time.. 24 30 hrs moderate use..
and finally if you are interested for a better battery drain try SETCPU.apk (free for XDA MEMBERS) AND configure your proccessor for a conservative work or setdown de cpu (900 mhz for example)
under my experience with the custom roms leedroid (lastest froyo 2.2.1 with leedroid kernel 2.2.9 at 960 mhz max) was provided the best battery drain AND YOU CAN TAKE the kalaga´s theme and enjoy of a great rom.
if you want a really a beautiful and fast rom you can try coredroid v3.3 with a leedroid kernel or buzz kernel (i always recommend froyo at the moment, no ported roms, but there´sa lot of people that likes gb roms!)
really you are the only one that can select the rom that better adjust to yourself! Every person looks for something different in the roms

Best rom for battery life?

I have been searching the web for the hands down best rom for htc one x concerning battery life. It really does not matter what the pros/cons are with the rom, all that matters is that the battery life is the best. So what rom & kernel should i go for?
My research have shown that the clean rom is probably the best for battery life, but i have the INTERNATIONAL version, not the at&t.:silly:
I've seen many people achieving good battery times with sense ROMs such as ARHD. I personally use IceColdJelly by LordClockan with n3o kernel, have undervolted by 125mv and I'm quiet happy. Yesterday I achieved 18h of total up time, of which 5 hours screen on time, brightness less than 20%, 3g always on, manual sync.

Are you sure? That sounds like a light answer, because i am willing to install the most lightweight slimmest rom in the universe if it had the best battery life.

Just look around forum, there are a lot of noob friendly guides. Basically yes, you flash boot.img in fastboot, then flash modules(zip file in which you find boot.img) in recovery. Sometimes you need to repack kernel for it to work. http://nibble.cc/repack

i am using ARHD now and i quite like this Rom and i won't change it.. but i noticed that, while on idle (screen off) i got an increased battery time.. but while using it i get less battery time.. with my normal usage i was able to get 1,5 or 2 days, now i struggle to get a full 24h..

SURE. Please check the replies and this sentence "Proudly presenting you the most popular ROM for HTC One X..." For me the best rom ever made :good: link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1562603
I've tried a few. I'm using ViperX 2.1.0 at the moment which is the ROM I am sticking with.
But I'd say the best for battery was ARHD.
I try many roms and all have about the same battery live,
it all depends how you use the device.
Try Renovate..best ever
I've tried several roms and kernels, and I absolutely swear by football's maximus roms. The current one with its stock kernel is the most perfect hox experience I've had so far. Currently on 68% battery after a full day, listened to some music, done facebook and whatnot, I have had data off for big chunks of the day, tho that's only because I'm in a weird signal area. On WiFi I leave it on and it seems to idle indefinitely.
try viperx
Actually try them all. Battery use is dependent on personal preference. Some could get good battery on one rom while others can not 'cause the use pattern is different and each rom reacts different on that pattern.
One Maximus and ARHD are probably going to be the right direction.
The best way is to try some different roms and i've experienced that the sense-roms have better battery-life than the jelly-ones
I'm pretty interested in this thread. :good:
I'm a big believer, that regardless of spec an functionality, if your battery sucks, its game over whatever the device.
I've tried:
Stock 4.0 Sense - Rubbish battery, and launcher IMHO
CM10 Beta - I love JB, but could see the battery trickle away as I held it. No way its a daily ROM
ARHD, 4.1 no-sense, GO Launcher - Better, but still caught out frequently. Plus, not all of Sense is removed regardless of the 'No-Sense' install
I'd be interested to know if Paranoid Android (most complete JB rom by the looks) returns decent battery? I missed the opportunity to download the ICS version.
Its a shame that the battery is the achilles heel in this device....
Stock. Had nothing but poor battery since I rooted and flashed a custom rom and I've tried a few different kernels and roms.

Best kernel for better battery life HTC One X ??

Hi All,
I updated my phone to ARHD 9.7.2 but i see a little help with battery drainage, have seen that some custom kernels can help with getting a better Battery Life.
Is anybody out there using the custome kernel and getting a good battery life.
Note: I use it mostly for calls and WiFi and some gaming it last me only 6hrs max :'(
Different ROM + different kernel = different result
You have to test it yourself and tell which combination is the best for you..
And for God sake there's no need to make another thread like this..
This thread belong to Battery Stats thread..just keep your post there..
All the best..

Battery life between different roms

What is the best rom for the best battery life ?
Now i'm using ICE 2.1.2 and is far more better than other ( my oppinion)
Viper Rom is more closely to the stock , LeeDroid is ok ( sincerely i don't know how the latest 2 version is because i didn't tested them)
I heard that MaximusHD rom is the best battery life rom but i didn't had the occasion to test it .
Can you guys share here your experiences about battery life between different roms ?
At XDA, we do not discuss, which rom is better than which....
Battery life on a certain rom is totally user specific experience. One persons experience can be totally different than others.
Oh , my fault then

Im on leedroid ROM with cleanslate kernel and balanced pnp profile. Getting between 4.5 - 5.5 screen on time with average usage. Very good for me compared to stock where i was lucky to get 4hrs SOT
Lee , viper and ice are the best out there for htc 10 atleast for now ... no doubt....
i doubt whether you tried viper because it is no way similar to stock! it has got tons of customization like the other two
