[Q] Sd card problems. Mounted but some problems. - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

I just flashed cm10 20120925 nightly. Note that this is the first time i flashed a rom. So i'm kinda new. I put my sd card into my old droid x in order to move contacts and when i put my card back into my galaxy s 3 (tmobile). The s3 reads the sd card and mounts it but apollo music player just shuts down when i try to access the application. it says Unfortunately, Apollo has stopped working. It takes forever for to open up gallery and play a video from the sd card. I really dont know what to do.... any suggestions.

[Q] MP3's/files vanishing from SD card

Hi all,
First of all, sorry if this isn't in the right sub-forum.
My step-mum's recently got herself a Wildfire and wanted some music putting on it. My younger brother tried copying some music over from his PC but when he opened the default music player, no music whatsoever was there (including the rubbish that comes pre-loaded on there).
I connected the phone to my PC and the music my younger brother copied over was not on the SD card at all. I assumed he messed something up so tried transfering the music over myself but when I unmount the SD card from my PC and open the default music player it says it can't find any music. And when I reconnected the SD card to my PC, the music is no longer there
I've installed doubletwist but it can't find any music on the phone and I've tried repeatedly unmounting and mounting the SD card to force it to rescan. I really have no idea what's up.
Any ideas would be much appreciated guys.
Sorry for asking but I need to first off, try loading the music unmount from PC then mount to PC see if music there.
If not, problem is SD.
If yes, problem is wildfire + SD.
If its wildfire + SD try putting card in seperate reader and format with HP format program (will try to link at later date). If this can't be done use windows to format, file system should be fat32. Then put it back in phone load music app, demount from wildfire and load music into a folder named music.
Hope this helps.

Thanks. It turned out to be the SD card. I had a spare 1 which I put in her phone and it's working fine.
Glad I could help.

[Q] Storage card erased!

So I have a message that the storage card is empty or there is an unsupported file, and it asks if I want to format.
When I go into the gallery, the "camera" album no longer exists.
If I use Astro file manager, I can browse to several folders with files (but not my camera album). My camera was set save on the sd card and I previously had a bunch of pictures on there.
Now the camera does not even give me an option to save to storage card. It's just set to internal with no option to change that. It's like the camera doesn't recognize the sd card, even though Astro sees it (doesn't find any of the pictures taken with this device, but shows everything else).
This is the T-Mobile GS4 with the stock ROM.
I did recently reset the camera permissions (and all other permissions) in Opera Classic, do you think that might have something to do with it?
Anyone have any experience with this?
This might be my excuse to go get the note 3.
Don't format it. Try unmounting and re-mounting it. I got that message a few times on my s4 and there was never a problem with the card. Every time I removed it from my phone and put it into my computer, the files were still there safe and sound. The S4 is very touchy with certain SD card brands, but then again I even have SD problems with samsung cards when i was on the stock ROM. Ever since I went to CM, I've never had external storage issues.
Agreed, I had a Samsung card and a sandisk and have had a few scares. Take it out and put it back in, its all still there. Unless you really do have a bad sd card.. Its possible.

[Q] trouble with apps reading sd card

I'm currently using the goodness rom, and trying to switch over to Macks Allstar MA7 rom. Everything goes well except everything on my SD card isn't being read. Any music apps show that I have no music(all saved to my sd card). The gallery only shows the pictures that I have saved on the phone itself. But if I use a file explorer, it shows everything is still there.
Can someone help me figure this out? Thanks.
BTW, I've tried flashing the rom both from my phone and from the SD card with the same results.

[Q] Google Play Music App and SD Card dublicates

Hi
I've got my new M8, I use isyncr to sync my music from itunes to my sd card.
My problem is, that I get a dublicate of every song in the google play music app: one for the "online version" and one for the file on the SD card, which is really annoying.
I didnt have this problem with my galaxy s3 and cyanogenmod 10.
Does anyone knows how to fix this problem? maybe it has something to do with the write protection on the sd card..
I tried the thing with editing the properties file, but it always resets after every reboot...
(My phone is rooted but without s-off, stock rom)

SD card crashing all the time

So here's the problem.
I bought a new SanDisk 64GB Micro SD card, Class 10 for my new HTC M9 phone.
My issue is that, everytime I reboot the phone i get a crash saying "Process System isn't responding". This causes that Spotify for example (I save all my playlist to the SD card) loses all his data and revert back to Internal Memory, deleting my downloaded playlist.
I have tried several ROMs, with the same results. The only ROM that didn't give me any issues was te Steam ROM back with my M8.
As far as I know it is not a crappy card. Anyone knows any tricks for this?
