I have an EVO 4g that a friend had rooted for me as a gift, it's running Digital karma V7:Heaven. Well while texting a pic you know you have that option to attach a comment as well. It gave me 3 choices and I clicked on rom by default(by accident) now every time I click to attach a comment, it takes me to the Rom folder? Anybody know how to return it back or change the setting because I have been up and down and I can't find it?? I am still learning the phone so anyone who can provide me some input it would be greatly appreciated.

To remove a app as the default app. Go into setting. Applications. Manage apps. All. Then find that app and click on it and look for clear defaults. Click on that and it will remove it as the default. Hope that helps.

If this doesnt work for you,theres a little trick i learned,it will reset all of your settings,but it works.Wipe cache and delvik,then reinstall the rom and reboot,dont wipe anything else,but cache and delvik,it will just reset all of the system settings and theme,if one applied.

you can turn your soft keys led off if you dont want them to light up and you can turn them back on

Does anyone know why this app was removed from the market?
What does it require full internet access for? Paypal donation? I'm a bit chary while installing apps from unknown sources so would appreciate any reassurance
After trying this app I uninstalled it because
1) it keeps requesting su permissions every few seconds and I don't like idea of disabling the notifications in the Superuser app
2) my motivation for turning off buttons back lights was battery saving, but I'm not sure if I will save anything if this app keeps running in the background

im on stock and recently i cant text.. the keyboard locks up and i cant even use the back button to get back to my main list of contacts to text. ive tried to dl other keyboards wiht the same result. just want to know if anyone had experienced this. i can just reformat but really don't want to if i dont have to. thanks

setting - appl manager - all - samsung keyboard - clear data
if not works

If still not works then i think hard reset is good choice.

From the time I've got the note 8, I've always been able to just take a screenshot and right after that it'd open my screenshot and i'd be able to edit it straight away (drawing on it etc.). However, for the past few hours now, that doesn't work anymore, initially it stopped opening the screenshots straight away but, it would show up in the notification panel and I'd click on it and be able to edit it like before. But now even that doesn't work it shows up in the notification panel and I click on it and it give different apps to open it with (paper artist etc.). Any suggestions? I haven't installed or uninstalled anything recently, I'm running the stock rom. I haven't touched anything to be honest but, it changed all of a sudden. Am planning of doing a factory reset, but I'd rather not. I'll be really grateful for any help.

Hmm i had never thought of that, I had been taking the screenshots using the swipe screen method. I just tried using the s-pen and it worked like before. I used to take the screen shots like that before(s-pen) and only recently started using the swipe screen method. My memory tells me I edited the screen shots the same way using the two methods, but I'm pretty sure my memory's wrong. Thank you so much,this had me bugging out.

It just gives me the option to choose an app to edit with. Does not give me the immediate edit option like when using the S-Pen.

So I went into ROM Toolbox under "tasks" and froze my Google Playstore App just toying around with looking to save a little battery juice...
I mean, I was thinking surely I can freeze this app it should be just as easy to "un-freeze," only I can't seem to figure this part out...
Anybody happy to know how to unlock the tumblers to this particular safe? Any help greatly appreciated in advance...

Cool, did a little internet sleuthing & sorted it out...pretty simple really.
Head on over to Titanium Backup - Batch Actions....down to Defrost section - Bingo.

Rom Toolbox will let you do the same thing. Tap the frozen app and the menu that comes up will have "defrost" as an option

I need a bit of help on this, my phone has really weird permissions issues. For example, when I want to configure an app for the first time that tells me to go enable notification access and it sends me to the screen where you can toggle notification access for a lot of apps and you activate the access for the app in question, the app doesn't see that you turned the permission on when it is on (double checked). I'll link a YT video I made that shows the issue perfectly. (please take note that this happens on EVERY app that asks for permissions this way)
The video might be blurry due to YT taking its time to process the video in its full HD glory.

I tried, it keeps asking for notification permissions and won't go forward. And it does that for other apps that rely on notifications (NotifyEdge for example).

Maybe something wrong with the European firmware. That BA at the end indicates that. Try global firmware. Either stable or beta

Wait before you continue. Do other apps that require notification access give u a hard time besides the notifyedge and bud app that i could try as well to make sure its phone not the app that has a problem
