Well, if you have photos and images stored and maybe apk files. It does not.
However, if you mean text messages, already installed apps and the like , then the answer is yes.
I've been using an application called "Go Backup", just search the playerstore.
It's a very simple and easy to use program. Simply install it, create a back up. Flash a new rom, re download "Go backup" and restore the apps. You don't even have to save it on your computer.
Hope i was able to help

Thanks.... Worked amazingly

Flashing a rom does not wipe your sdcard contents, unless you format it. For apps, sms and contacts, there are a handful of app there, one of the apps I use is Titanium Backup.

I used titanium and go backup n both worked pretty gud

Is there an all in one backup prog I can get to do a backup of my apps contacts and messages before I flash a rom so I can just reinstall the backup with the new rom.

ARHD 6.3.3...................
there was no problem for 3 days....
now getting reboots in every minute........................:crying: :crying: :crying:
It's not a problem with the phone. Some app or process must be messing with it. Make a Nandroid backup, full wipe the phone using the super wipe zip in the ARHD main post, flash the ROM again and don't restore any app data from Titanium backup or other backup apps. Set it up again like you did the first time. Be careful about the apps you restore; uninstall any malicious apps.

Memory loss after root

Hi guys I rooted a HTC desire for my bro in law and ever since he's had memory problems he can't download anything it says not enough space its really annoying he's in a wheelchair so it would be handy if he could get apps if anybody could be soo kind as to help me
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda premium
How did you root his phone? (What method)
did you flash another rom? (If so what)
Does he have the same memory problems as before or is it worse?
Have you partitioned his SD card into fat32 + ext? And downloaded link2sd/apps2sd or any app to move apps to the ext partition?
Is it just apps or anything he tries to download? (Music/pictures/files etc)
What size is his SD card and is the phone registering it properly?

Going to need a bit more information than that.
What recovery did you install?: Clockwork mod / EXT4 recovery?
How did you return it to stock after flashing the other rom?
Yea its got clockwork mod and yea its back to stock just still rooted
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda premium
So, when you installed clockwork mod originally, you performed a backup in cwm and restored that backup to return it to stock?
What size is his SD card and what space is available on it?
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda app-developers app
Yea I did that I thing its 2gb but there's hardly anything on it because he can't install anything I got Rom toolbox pro for him so he could set it up to install directly to sd but it wouldn't work properly

I would still check the SD card for space by plugging it into a PC and mounting it as a Hard Drive, even though you think that it is empty hidden files could exist. eg. 1x clockwork mod backup can be 0.5 GB. My last Cronmod ICS backup was 555.5 MB!! and thats a 1/4 of his card used up. so just check it.
Why don't you try flashing a stock like rom?
Try delate all files in data/apps and uninstall Lucky Pather or other app to patching. It's problematic with Google Play. Should help, install Lucky Pather after installing of all apps what u need being with disabled internet connection and ended process Play

I did this from the stock deodexed rom and I don't see the mms app installed after reboot. I'm on 100%stock rom but I used a deodexed version is that why? My computer broke and my backup of stock is on it and not on my phone. I could try to fix it but so far nothing is working so my backup as far as I'm concerned is gone. Any ideas?

android_secure stores encrypted versions of the apps moved to external SD card.....You'll have probably to reinstall some apps. Hopefully the data is intact on the system partition
