I recently changed the ROM on my KF to Jandycane and have a question regarding the stay awake option when plugged in.
I changed to the setting in dev mode to stay awake when plugged in, but it's not doing it.
Any suggestions?

I'm running a s-offed 2.3 custom rom, and when I left out overnight, the battery usage showed the phone was awake the whole time. I tried installing spare parts but it force closed whenever I want to see battery usage to determine what's been keeping my phone awake. Any idea is appreciated.
do u have it plugged in? u can set your phone to stay awake while plugged in thru applications, dev, stay awake
I don't have it plugged in, I don't want it to be awake overnight that's all to save battery.
It is advised to set the wifi sleep policy to 'never'.
Which rom are you using?

Wifi is set to never sleep already. I'm running oxygen 2.0.1.
is this a problem in the settings deep inside the device? i ask this because before i got the juggernaut rom i had a tweak app that had a setting for always on while charging. every time i rebooted the device the setting always got switched back to never stay on. the same thing is happening inside the juggernaut rom- dev mode stays activated, mock locations stays activated but stay awake does not.
i am aware of the caffeine app but because the tweak app isn't working through reboots (and this is essentially a tweak app) i don't figure it would do what i want here.
Weird deal - so I checked screen stay awake under dev options to keep my screen on while charging at work.
However, every time I reboot it disappears. As do any other checked options.
Why? How can I get it to stay!!
Its just the way it is as of now, so you'll have to re-check them.

They probably did that in case people forgot it's checked. So that their screens won't stay on indefinitely......
Stay awake while charging
Any updates on this, it is very annoying. Every time I reboot I have to recheck the "stay awake while charging". With all the stuff that we can do after rooting I find it hard to believe that this can not be fixed.
Use Tasker. You can use it to keep your screen on indefinitely while on AC or USB and then set it back to normal when you unplug.

Not sure if im the only one who has this but..
When ever i enable the setting Stay Awake (screen will never sleep while charging), it will do so, but later on i notice it doesn't do it anymore.
Then i check the setting and i notice the setting is disabled.
Then i enable it again, and later on its disabled again by itself.
I had this with the stock rom, wanam rom, and now also with the omega rom.
Whats the deal with that?

My EVO 4G had a no-timeout setting and I loved it because the screen would stay on whether it was charging or not. I went looking for an app that might do that and found this for you:

I have the exact same problem from time to time, and im running usa at&t stock. The only thing I can think is maybe I accidentally hit power saver at some point and it clears the stay awake.

My stay awake option always turns off after a reboot, and my power saving option is off. Haven't figured it out yet.

So I've got P600 that wont stay turned off when charging. The moment I plug a micro usb into it the tablet turns on. I am on Temasek Build and Kernel Version 3.4.106-g1dacfb [email protected]#1 Sat Aug 15 15:14:22 AEST2015.
I was on a Kit Kat build a long time ago and had no such issue, when moving over to an unofficial CM build I flashed TWRP and that's when this problem began. any help is much appreciated and I can provide any other relevant info upon request.
Still having this issue. Anyone have any advice?

I've had the same issue with my P600 running Temasek and "Stay Awake" is set to "Never", yet it will not stay shut down when charging for me either. Not a huge deal, but given how long this thing takes to charge, I'm assuming it would do so quicker if it's off? I'm running the nightly released on 21Oct, but this behavior has been present as long as I've been on the ROM.
