How to turn off update warning on a rooted nexus? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

My phone is rooted and a custom rom is installed but i keep getting the official google warning to update my phone. I tried updating to see if it would go away but it freezes the phone probably because I am rooted. Does anyone know how to turn the update warning off.

1. Wrong section
2. Try flashing a newer or updatable rom - most of the newer roms that are out do not have this warning, and if they ever do they won't crash when you try to update.

Cleared Notifications keep returning

I have unlocked my bootloader and rooted my phone. Still running stock 2.2.1. Seems that about one month again I noticed that intermittently all of the previous notifications will return. I can clear them and they will stay gone for a while but will return later in the day. Also noticed that super user has begun to give me a "stopped unexpectedly" error. This seemed to start about the same time as the notification problem. Don't know if the 2 are connected. I've tried to do a search but did not find anything about the notification problem. This is forcing me to think about getting off my butt to install a custom ROM. Any suggestions before installing a custom ROM?

The newest update of super user is causing many issues, suggested not to update.
I have superuser versions 2.3.6.1 and 2.3.6.3. I will try a reinstall of 2.3.6.1.
If still have problems then will try 2.3.6.3. Will not allow an ugrade until I see a newer version than the one out now.
Thanks

LK4 Update Problems

Hey everyone,
So two night ago I received a notification on my GS3 saying a new update was out.
When I tried installing the update it rebooted into recovery and failed at 24%....weird. I was running Rogers stock rom and recovery at the time so this shouldn't have happened, and I would like to know why for future reference.
I also tried updating via samsung kies. But when I tried this, it said my device wasn't compatible to update via kies????
So I ended up download the LK4 update off sammobile website and installed it using odin.
Anyways, I now have the new update installed. I've noticed two weird things:
1. When I go to about phone in settings and go into software update, it shows a screen "checking for software updates..." and doesn't go away unless I press back or home button. Why can't I search for new updates????
2. My google now voice isn't working. It recognizes what I say to it but when it gives the flashcard response, it doesn't talk back like it normally does. I have it set to English US, and yes my media volume is up at full volume.
Anyways I'm a little frustrated at this point. I can't figure out how to fix these problems so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

[Q] Converted M8 to GPE restarting its self

Guys,
Have a problem with my M8 and not sure what's the cause of it all. Its an M8 that's been converted to a GPE edition via: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708589.
Problem:
The phone keeps restarting randomly, comes on for about a minute and then restarts.
How it started:
Just received the phone back from HTC, I sent it in to get a loose speaker grill fixed. Up until then the phone has been fine on GPE (4.4.2). Prior to me sending it in, the phone had an unlocked boot loader, s-off, custom recovery and rooted.
I made HTC aware of the state of my phone as well as telling them that its an original M8 converted into a GPE version, They didn't have a problem with it and fixed the device under warranty. But on receiving the phone back, HTC have relocked the boot loader and put s-on back, its still rooted.
So first thing i did was unlock the boot loader which went smoothly, next up was firewater to get s-off back. That didn't worked as HTC has apparently patched the exploit so im still with s-on.
After that is where its all gone down hill , tried a nandroid backup, worked initially then the restart began. Did a factory reset and that seemed to work until I tried installing apps, and then the problem came back.
Does any one have any idea what might be the cause or solution? If i had s-off id re flash the RUU, but obviously cant do that.

The reason for the reboots is SuperSU v2.00
after updating SuperSU my phone gone completely crazy and keeps rebooting every 1 or 2 minutes, had to Disable the app and no problem so far

You might be right, on SU 1.94 and no restarts. Trouble only happens if i get the latest version.:good:

Zenfone 2 ZE550ML wont update to latest update 2.18

The update showed up on my phone and so I updated it after unrooting my phone, removing lucky patcher, freedom, sd booster, and so on. After downloading the update, phone rebooted showed it was updating then Error. Rebooted the phone then the update was no longer there, tried using System update but to no avail.
My question is.. how do I fix this for me to be able to update to the latest?
I'm getting a similar problem. However instead of doing what you did to unroot and such, I flashed the 2.17 via their recovery and now I don't get the prompt for 2.18 update at all.
Its confusing as to why its acting like this :/
I already removed all root applications and unrooted the phone then did a factory reset but afterwards it put me to one of its old build and wont freakin update anymore.. Any help regarding this would be very much appreciated..
I am open to rooting and manually flashing the latest build.. Problem is, I was a Sony user whom just switched to zenfone.. So i have no idea how to or what to flash on our zenfone 2..

[ZE551ML] Dead Android bot on OTA update but update was succesful

I had rooted my phone and removed some of the bloatware (I wish I knew better at that time).
But anyway, I got the OTA notification. I unrooted my phone and applied the update.
Things seemed to work fine but when the phone rebooted, the dreaded "Error" dead bot appeared. But unlike many, I didn't get stuck in a boot loop as the phone started normally.
And it looks like the update was applied because the System Update build number shows "2.18.40.12" (earlier was 2.17.40.12)
Should I be worried? Should I flash the stock ROM? Or is there any other method of restoring the bloatware?
Thanks for your time.
EDIT: I flashed my phone just to be sure. I suppose this thread is irrelevant now.
