Galaxy nexus white housing

I just got my white housing kit and kept the original power n volume buttons also switched the camera to the black from original silver still with original battery cover (wanting to get original white) looks pretty sick though .. what do u guys think

The right section would be galaxy nexus accessories

I had a original nexus n i bought the white housing kit off ebay (which is only the white part) n i replaced the white power n volume rockers for original ones .. i need the battery cover .. but it looks nice i love it

If they close it thas cool ill just add it again there thanks for the tip though ... n yea im just having a hard time finding the white cover .. but its like a new fone especially with jelly bean love :thumbup:

As for the battery cover, Droid-Life found some on German eBay. It's the housing and battery cover though. I couldn't post link, but try Googling "How to: Turn Your Original Galaxy Nexus Into a White Galaxy Nexus". Should be from Droid-Life and look up for the link there

Go to www.parts4repair.com and look up galaxy nexus parts .. i think theyr out of the white housing but they have white battery covers .. u can also check ebay but make sure its oem parts

OP thanks for that picture. I now know what my finished product will look like once I'm done.
I'm gonna paint the housing white and keep the black buttons with the black battery cover.

I'm still waiting for power-skin to release a charging case for the gnex. I've emailed them several times for an update, but no replies.

Couldn't you just drill/dremel a hole up there, or does the battery extend that far?

yea i emailed them also awhile back, they sent me a email showing there other products of on the go charging which werent cases

I personally think that lazy or rushed design like that shouldn't be rewarded with my money and then after sale labor to bring it up to nominal working order.

Is the note 2 going to support wireless charging? I've been wondering this since the SIII has it...

Could be. Looking at the back of my note 2 with the back cover off there are a some unused contacts. The top two are for the NFS thing on the back cover but the bottom two don't line up with anything.

Was wondering if anyone around these parts has given the $99 dock a shot. I was thinking that with hdmi and a couple usb ports it was worth every bit of what they are asking.
Responsiveness?
Quality?
Ease of use?
Mouse and keyboard connected helpful or a henderance, work at all?
Large sshd work with it?
Scaling on different resolution displays?

Not sure what your definition of Galaxy Note 2 is but your GS3 dock doesnt have anything to do with the Galaxy Note 2 dock but, thanks for sharing

The topic is docks not specifically the N2 dock. THE s3 doc works well for charging and the system recognizes that it was inserted into the doc. It has audio our too so I would say it is a N2 doc too.

Thanks for the heads up on using the S3 dock for the N2. I'm currently using the S2 dock with my E4GT, and will be much happier to pay $30 for the S3 dock, rather than $100 for the N2 dock. Personally, I doubt that I would use the HDMI or USB ports on the N2 dock anyway.

Exactly. Another benefit is that rhere is a special home screen that pops up when you put the phone in the cradle on the note 2 that allows you to launch your choice of apps that to run when docked

Which one should I look for? Would an adapter for S3 work for a NOTE 2? Anyone have experience with this?

I bought the MHL adapter for the S3 of of Samsung.com and it works just fine.

The only thing about the mhl is that the screen stays on. Anyway to have this turn off like the allcast hub does?

The screen stays on but you have to plug the power into the MHL adapter as well as the hdmi for it to work. Hence you're not using that much power cause it's coming from the power adapter and not your battery.

Turns the screen off when you plug an MHL cable in. Works pretty well. Can't say the same about the 65k color, super-delayed output poorly scaled to 1080p from the N2 though.
