Phone switches between 4G/LTE too often - Nokia Lumia 900

My phone seems to prefer 4G over LTE even when LTE has strong signal. Anyone else has this problem?

question regarding 4g signal

Is there a way you can set the phone to just access the 4g band? 4g in my area is stable, but I think my phone keeps dropping lte signal over and over because its very intermittent signal here in this area.
thanks

Ok I found the "4636" menu, and I have an att phone and it was set to LTE + CDMA/LTEEVDO
That's not right is it?
I put it on WDCMA because the 4g network is much more stable around here...but any reason why mine is defaulting to a cdma network?
thanks
Do you have option for LTE only? I use LTE only sometimes at work on a T-Mobile m8. I can still receive text but no calls. And yeah, if you're on an at&t m8, you shouldn't be using/defaulting to CDMA. You're gsm, wcdma and LTE. Try wcdma preferred or wcdma only.

LTE inconsistent signals?

I recently purchased an HTC 10 from UAE. I am experiencing problems with LTE signals. I am running stock Android Nougat 7.0 with January 2017 security patch. If i go to some area where there is no LTE coverage then my phone data connection doesn't work which is perfectly fine but when i go back to an area where there is strong LTE coverage my phone doesn't get back LTE signals. I have to turn the airplane mode on and off in order get back LTE signals. Phone itself should get back LTE signals automatically when it is in an area where there is strong LTE coverage. If i dial *#*#4636#*#* and go to Phone information it says Data Technology is unknown until i turn on and off airplane mode. I have triple checked my APN settings they are perfectly fine.
Also sometime when i am in an area where there is strong LTE coverage even then my phone automatically stops getting LTE signals . My friends are using the same network that i am using on different smartphones and they're not experiencing this kind of problem.
Does anyone experiencing this kind of problem?

HTC 10 signal issues

Howdy all. I have been experiencing signal strength and drop issue since updating to Nougat. The phone will suddenly lose its LTE connection and stay on 3G until I restart. Areas where i previously had a good signal now show no signal at all. I remember there was an issue which cause modem problems in our devices after an update. I do have TWRP and Magisk root installed on my device. But it does pass safetynet check "if that matters).
So, my signal issues have gotten worse. I can still get LTE, but only at my house and its a weak signal. I have noticed the only LTE signal my 10 picks up is on Band 25. I wonder if the Sprint version is locked to a single band only?
The device seems to get stuck on 3G mode now. In an area with sparse LTE coverage, it will switch to 3G, but not connect to LTE again even if in range. Only a restart fixes that problem.

Reconnect to LTE service without Airplane mode toggling?

For a few months now my phone would lose LTE signal, drop to 3G and stay there when passing certain areas which never was an issue before. I've been having to toggle the airplane mode to get LTE back. Was there a modem/radio change that happened and anyone have a list of modems/radios I can try flashing?

SCG02 Network Issue

During university, my network signals are absolutely horrible. My phone sips battery like crazy. I barely get 3-4hr screen on time if i am using internet from network. My solution to this is that i force my phone to use 3G but because of that i stop receiving calls and SMS. My friend on the other hand has an S21 and he gets 4G+ whereas i only get 4G with 0-3 bar varying. I don't understand why i am not getting 4G+ when we have the same carrier. Any solutions?
