I'm a huge fan of Samsungs Touchwiz and would love to see some Samsung on Kindle fire, so could someone help by putting Touchwiz or a whole Samsung based rom for the good ole Kindle?

Hey, I'm coming from the Epic 4G (original) forums and since you guys are on ICS and have TouchWiz, is it possible for someone here to port the TouchWiz launcher and make it a flashable .zip or installable .apk for those who do not have it? There is a version of TW from the Galaxy Note I installed, however it isn't made for ICS yet, and so I cannot resize any ICS widgets.
Thanks, in advance
I believe TW Launchers are included in a lot of the roms, like calkulins e4gt 2 and all the stock ones.
I got you bro

Is there a way to get tablet more using a touchwiz rom. I am currently on PacMan AOSP and love the look but want the battery life of Touchwiz and added functions.
Thanks

You can use apex launcher for certain tablet ui functions. Use the touchwiz apex theme. You can also change your DPI settings (LCD density) I usually run mine @ 240.
Saw something in general android software dev section

Hate it when someone posts in the wrong section. I see an extra topic and the crackflasher in me goes nuts, but then its posts like this and I get all :crying:
Man you guys are like locusts. You see something off and you go all flame wars on them. There's a report button for a reason. :/

Theres a galaxy note rom in the android dev forum. That might give u tablet ui
To put the accuweather clock on cm10 what do you need? Obviously the widget. But what else the twframework.jar? The twframework-res.apk?

If you want tw features you should flash a tw rom.

Cant...only works on touchwiz roms

It doesn't have to be a tw rom..
Sky jellybean has it, that ROM is based off cyanogen
Galaxy sbean isn't touchwiz either
I know it consists of having tw framework and some libs but which ones exactly is what I'm asking
Some phones even have a mod for it, I'm curious as to how they do it that's why I'm in q&a so no need to be condescending.

You will need
-tw framework.jar
-twframework-res.apk
-a couple of permission XML's
-a few libs
-the 4 AccuWeather widgets
Here's a zip file with everything. It comes with a lot, so I reccomend deleting the apk's you don't need. If you just want the widget, you only need the AccuWeather stuff and the launcher.

So, I was thinking of restoring my phone back to the original Samsung ICS ROM but I absolutely abhor the TouchWiz UI. I was wondering if anyone here could suggest anything to theme the stock ROM into ICS look.
Any help would be appreciated!!

why dont you just flash an AOSP rom? If not then just download a launcher(Nova, Apex, ect)
edit: Or I'd suggest going JB, most ROMs are stable enough to dd.
AOSP is CM10 right? Its like I keep trying ROMs but each one has issues. But now I'm trying the All Star AOKP and I hope it works..otherwise I'll just go to the stock version and install a launcher.
Thanks for the help though.

I don't think touchwiz is open source? But anyways it would almost be impossible as you'll problem get alot of problems with it. Just like me truing to run sense on my s3.

I've never used touchwiz before but you could probably find a launcher app that behaves similarly. But for the other features you would be SOL
Pretty sure there is also a TouchWiz theme for AOSP ROMs.
