Is there a way to enable a notification sound upon charger plugin? - HTC One X

I miss that Iphone feature that lets you know you made a good connection and the phone is charging. I have come downstairs a few mornings and found a dead or nearly dead One X because of bad charger connection, a plug in notification would be a big help. Anyone know of a way to enable this?

so, looking at the green led isnt enough??

Thanks for that, that pointed me in the right direction. Tasker was a little extreme but I found something called AutomateIt that does exactly what I wanted, my phone now plays a different notification for both charger plug and unplug. Free also, life is good.

No ads, no unnecessary permissions. Tons of options and customizability and widgets.
How do I prevent the flashlight from auto shut off
I have my screen set to turn off after 30 seconds of inactivity. I'd like to leave it that way but the flashlight also turns off after 30 seconds. Short of rocking the volume or something is there a way to make a program override the 30 seconds?
I'd probably like to set it for about 5 minutes to autoshutoff for the flashlight.

Bricked, or Broken?

I've had a G2 for a couple of years now that hasn't been working. I've exchanged batteries, but cannot get anything to boot. The phone was having problems with freezing prior to the supposed brick, and the phone is completely stock.
As of now, I have it plugged in via USB and I didn't hear any sort of notification that the computer even recognizes the phone, my other android phones will get picked up with the power off.
Long story short, is there a way to get into "upgrade mode", or something similar that HTC might have? Something from ADB that could trigger the phone to power on in the hardware doesn't power on itself?
Thanks.
EDIT: The charge LED does NOT come on while plugged on to the charger.

Stupid thing has water damage..the VOID sticker wasn't where it was supposed to be, but I saw some pink residue from the sticker. I'm gonna take it to see if I can get it fixed. I believe it's worth it, it isn't the first batch of G2's, it was one of the warranty replacements that didn't have those weird issues.
Take a multi meter to the contacts with the phone open. See if any power is getting through.

Overheating Problem

Hello everyone,
I had a HOX one month ago and everything was ok, no defects at all, the only issue I had is that my device was getting too hot,
it was so annoting, it gets hot over simple tasks, like using facebook app, or whatsapp, so is there any solution for this issue??
I've had mine for more than an month now and it has never been even slightly warm, even while charging...
Might be something wrong with your phone?

Can you please give more info. Like custom rom or stock.
Rooted/"unrooted"
Which rom
Which kernel
Anything else that might be useful. Anyway I had a similar problem, so might be able to help, but remember the more info the better. Its pretty hard to say by just reading the OP.

Kernel is most responsible for the heat. I suggest to change that first. You might want to go for any ROM with base 2.05.x and the stock kernel for that. Those roms include Arhd(7.2), Viper and Maximus by football

Install faux kernel, and undervolt your CPU.
The problem remain but very very lower.

what is the best rom for the hox?
different people prefer different roms... i think roms like arhd, cm9 and etc are like comparing a lambo and a ferrari.. most roms are pretty good compared with stock... its more of what u need it for... if u take the lambo maybe it has greater top speeds but suck at cornering and vice versa... hehe... anyway my advice is as long as it is not stock you will definitely feel the difference...

[Q] [SOLVED] Not turning on, blinking orange LED

Last night my DHD's battery died so i plugged it into the wall outlet and walked away, i came back ten mins later and the phone wasn't turning on, and i also began to notice that the Orange LED at the top was slowly blinking at me, i tried plugging it into a PC but to no avail.
Can anyone tell me whats going on, and where the fault it (i'm guessing its the USB cable)

Bricked One X - HELP!

Yesterday (in fact today, it was 1 am) I updated my ICJ AOKP ROM from 1.2 to 1.3 and also installed repacked Trip's ENRC2B kernel. I was playing around with phone for about an hour after this and then connected it to charger and went to sleep. I woke up at 11 am and noticed that my dear and beloved HTC is dead. I can't turn it off, I can't go into hboot, LED doesn't give any sign of life.
I will have to send my precious smartphone to HTC, right? Damn... How long will it last to repair?
Very, very sad
