As stated is this a necessary folder or can it be deleted?

Have you Googled "hyperdevbox" to see what comes up? You'll probably get an answer much faster that way.
I'm just sayin'

SDCard

I have a 16G memory card and it reads 12G used and 3.3 G remaining. I have about 3G if games from gameloft and barely 1G of pics 3.4G of backup data. When I select to see what apps are on sdcard it had a list of games and everyone of them gives me the option to move to usb storage. I've
Deleted a lot of stuff especially videos and pics and it seems like my memory card its congested. Do I need to format it to get it empty?

I'd hookup to PC and browse through files there, delete things you don't need like old roms and leftover garbage from old apps and see if that helps. Old nandroids take up a lot of space too.

Just google lost.dir and see what pops up. From my understanding in doing that a while back, this is kind of like a recycling bin area. I'm sure someone else on here can explain it in greater detail. I check that folder and delete it every now and again when I see it filling up. The phone will create that folder again on the next reboot.

Vaulty not working correctly

Hey guys. I started using Vaulty this week I realized HideNSneek no longer worked because it couldnt see the external sd card.
Vaulty only hides two of my videos and 163 out 166 pics. I contacted the vendor and they have no clue.
Any ideas?

Why don't you just make a folder and put a . Before the name then it hides. Unless you know about it you won't be able to find it.

How do I get rid of these random images?

They show up in my gallery repeatedly. They look like malware pictures. I removed all of them once and they came back. So I looked at the details and found the file location. Removed the files. A day later they're back once again.

Some app is putting them there. I know that the Geico app puts silly pics on your phone.
Why is this an acceptable practice? It's like those airpush ads.
I deleted the whole appcache file and it still came back.

Torrents, stop using them on your phone lol.
Do you have any sideload games folders on your memory card? If you do, Gallery will create thumbnail images from those folders. The only way to tell the gallery not to read those folder is you must have .nomedia file in those folders. Good luck.

This might be the closest assumption to whats causing the problem. But its so convient to download torrents straight to my phone lol.

CM 11 hidden system/media, help please.

Hey guys, quick question. Does anyone know a fix yet for CyanogenMods nice little bug where it likes to completely ignore the system/media folder? Besides that the newest nightly is running flawlessly so far. I've tried hooking up to pc, ran many media scanners, a few root browsers, and still come up with nothing. I can see them in CWM but nothing else. All .nomedia's have been looked over as well. Kinda stumped on this one.

Or at least have an idea how to keep them from disappearing when flashing to it from another rom? Either solution would work.

system/media shows the same files as /data/media apparently on mine, but yep after looking through the browser data/media seems to have them without having to look through CWM (like I had to with system). So how do I go about making CM actually see that this folder exists?

mnt/shell/emulated has the same files as /data/media though. Or so it appears. Basically looks like an exact copy.

I'm kind messed up with the kk stuff but.... CM/ASOP ROMs create an 0 folder and that's where CWM looks for files if you've flashed CM. Have you tried a stock rom to find the files?

Ok. You should have an "0" folder. If not create one in root of SD. Copy files to it, then see if cwm will see them. It should.

Basically all my personal files, music, pictures, backups, etc. Have just vanished from galleries and such when I switched to CM. I can physically see all the files on CWM but absolutely can not on any root browser or...well, anywhere. So in a nutshell, just trying to access all my stuff.

So you can see the files in ClockworkMod recovery? Interesting way to look for them.
Stock and CM roms will not let you see them.
If you go back to stock, you should be able to access them. I'm not sure why you can't in CM.

Went through and kept combining folders. Made the 0 at the root of the SD and kinda pushed everything into it. Still wasn't showing. So I went through each individual folder and for some reason each one had a sub folder named just like it. So in each one I went in and boom all the files. Moved them out of the sub and now they're showing up! No idea why they put it in there but oh well. Thanks for the advice!
