Me and hdubli might work on this were still deciding what to do and when to start...
Will be great to have rom with m2d but without notification manager (bulls**t) and most standart apps for it. And WM without dumb MS software and with NET CF 3.5 or 3.7.
I vote for "More features less eye candy". We have a real ferrari (F1) here and we are talking about the color of the wheels.
A fast stable version with best internet, multimedia, system apps (can be found free, around XDA) would be great for me. I bought this phone because I do not care about HTC eye candy manilla. Otherwise I would buy a HD2 to have full XDA support and flash different roms every day (like I did in the past with Artemis and Touch Pro).
But that's my opinion.
Guys, maybe u should open separate S200 forum?
Many thanks you guys,
also, a separate s200 forum, its a great idea!!!

That is what i say: i want my F1 stay F1 : no stuff, which take the phone speed...maybe some tweaks, that it runs more fast(and stable).
It need to be fast in the everyday use: internet browsing, multimedia, office, maybe games etc...
The problem on my Touch Pro was the same like frecos: everyday a new rom update and the speed wasn't so good....
And i dont need manila..i have my Mobile Shell( less RAM, more Speed, better looking)
greetz from Germany
So tune up the speed please
We are super close to having a fully working android for our beloved tilt2 devices.
I just wanted to thank the devs for all their hard work in porting android to our great phones.
I hope that we can eventually have a standalone rom, there is still a bright future for our phones if we can break our dependincies to the dieing wm platform.
Lets hope you are right. The TP2 is an amazing device of unbeatable quality, even with todays standards. A proper android ROM/build would remake this phone one of the best in the market.
So what do you guys think? Would you use webOS on your shiny gnex if it was made available?
Since HP announced the release of the webOS source code, the recently abandoned operating system has grown a rather loyal following. Progress has been made in homebrew development and in custom builds for webOS native devices. Many forum members have been clamoring for a port of webOS to Android devices for several months now. Initial ports were expected to appear for the Motorola Droid or its GSM counterpart, the Milestone, since the devices share the same OMAP3 3430 processor with the Palm Pre (the very first native webOS device).
Recently an HTC EVO 3D was spotted running a build of webOS 3.0, the version that came with the notorious HP TouchPad. Originally posted by Ryan Hope (@_puffthemagic_) on Twitter, the 3 still images of webOS running have now been supplemented with a YouTube video that can be found here. While not functional enough for actual use, the operating system boots without issue. Ryan originally started work on the port before HP released the source code for webOS. With the release of both the Android kernel and the full webOS source porting progress can only move forward from here. Could this mean widespread availability of webOS ports on Android devices soon? Depending on interest level and developer involvement, it is a possibility!

I'd definitely try it out for kicks, webOS was a great OS. The only problem is it was great. It's outdated now with a huge lack of apps. There's already an open source project with Android, and it's backed by a huge company. WebOS will be purely community driven with people working on it in their spare time or just for proof of concepts.

Same here. I'd say it has great potential. Now that it is opensource more developers will consider it as a viable app platform.
NO...I had a Pre Plus since it launched. First things first, it did have potential, webOS that is, if only devs would focus on it to bring iOS and Android apps. Secondly, the phone itself made me hate webOS and I doubt I will ever consider going back to a webOS device/phone.
WebOS was superb for its time. But the problem is it has not grown with new competitive features and additions like android and iOS has. Its been starved and abandoned, so it will never achieve parity with android.
I'd like to dualboot webOS, or even temporarily flash it. I never got to play with wOS, but i'd like to.
no way
the maturity level is too far behind android.
webOS is awesome. but circumstances -- bad hardware & worse marketing --> low user base --> no apps -- doomed it.
sad story. i liked it a lot.
I don't even use WebOS on my HP Touchpad, no way I'd put it on my Galaxy Nexus or any Android device.
The OS is nice, but without apps WebOS gets boring real quick. And I kinda like having home screens anyway.
ICS for sure.
I wouldn't mind running a webos UI over android but webos by itself is a no from me.

I have an old phone I am not using that currently has an ICS rom on it, but if someone were to make a rom for it, I'd probably throw it on there to see what all the fuss is about webOS but more than likely remove it and put back ICS on it.

I loled. That's like using a v dub engine in a space ship.

No. Feature set is no longer competitive and app ecosystem is far behind.
That said, Android was in the same boat but I loved it and the G1 anyway.

You know what would be great? If someone developed a way for android apps to run on webOS. Similiar to what BB is doing for the playbook. It wouldn't be perfect ofcourse, but still a nice compromise.
If WebOS had two years more development then maybe but ICS is just light years away.
It wasn't the hardware lagging webos. Great concept very poor implementation which is why it failed.

Well that's the whole reason opensource webos is interesting: now it won't be limited to crappy hardware from palm and hp.
Is this a joke thread?
WebOS was good but its OLD.
Thats like asking if I'd like to have my bluray player hooked up to a CRT LMAO.
ICS is the lastest and greatest high end OS on a high end device. You don't mix new tech with old software haha

Come on... How long ago did HP Touchpad came out? 6 months ago?
And when the developers have the source they can improve it and make it much better.
Hi,
I once saw a thread like this before, but as nothing continued on that thread, I think perhaps someone can work on this? I saw Shaky said he will drop in, and I understand he is busy with his kernel 3 project, but porting an awesome rom from a quad-core Meizu MX to our Desire will be, great, though they are quantum far from each other. This thing has got beautiful unique UI (Not sure of the performance) so if anyone can, please.
It just really bugs me to see that the SGS3 {GT-I9300} Having Android N and Android MM ROMS. It feels like our device has very less amount of ROMS compared to the SGS3...?
All the devs who do this are greatly appreciated?
Regular S3 was a flagship worldwide sold...
That's why there are many ROM
What I'm saying is there is very less amount of Android 6 and 7 ROMs... There are ROMs I agree... Lots if them... But not the new ones...
It would be great to have Nougat. S3 gt-i9300 has lineage os 14.1 with Nougat but it doesn't work for us.
New fresh Roms
So do i think that I9301I device deserves current roms as Lineage. Could somebody help us. Thanks. Join us all Guys that also have this device. :victory: Cheers
Guys I'm changing this thread to a petition thread so we can get some attention.

All devs here work for free, they waste own time for us, community. We can not demand anything from them.
Bro we have great developers like @Rox @n1kolaa @I'mTheMr @German Developer @SoUnd001 .etc
But the one of reasons is it,real life is important.
developers can't earn money with make rom for free for us many of them have school or job.
and one of the reasons is it,S3 Neo's driver is old and compile rom for it is really hard,we are just see S3 have mm or n roms but we don't think who made it?! how made it?! why made it?!
after all we should accept after @LGaljo or after Motion Rom our device is dead.maybe @n1kolaa make cm13 for our device but now cm13 is old too...

S3 was a flagship device and is one of the most documented devices ever seen. I mean you can even write an i9300 emulator fully somehow ?. That's why I9300 has many ROMS and stuff. S3 Neo in the other hand it's a midrange device in the level of Galaxy Grand series. It was made by Samsung because S3 had gigantic popularity even today so people can get something little bit improved ?(*coughs* i9305 *coughs*). S3 Neo comes with Snapdragon 400 with misses some documentation like Nfc and FMRADIO stuff. Also as it's a midrange device and has nothing interesting compared to S3 so that causes Dev's to overlook our device.
I bought this device for 60 euros I really enjoy it that much hope too to get more development (even though I broke the glass and the vol- button)
Back on thread: I tried On7 Marshmallow, got it on boot animation but restarts for unknown reason and logcat is nowhere to be seen ?.
