these cases look really nice, i might have to buy one to try.
bought one thanks for the heads up !
Ordered one of each, thanks for the heads up.
THE PRIME GT-I9250
I ordered the TPU case. I read some reviews of Nillkin cases in the other phone forums and they were very good.
I ordered one but cancelled after they quoted 3-6 weeks delivery time! I don't know what's going on with China these days, the last few times I ordered things it took forever. They do look beautiful - the textured back looks grippy.
Had a couple of Nillkin cases for my SGS2 they were fine. These should be as good as those.
How come the TPU has no cutout for the volumerocker?
What advantages has the TPU over the hardcase?

TPU case is similar to a "gel" or silicone case. I like it because it covers the top and bottom of the phone where the hardcase doesn't
I just bought a One X and two cases:
Nillkin TPU and hard case.
I hope everything will arrive today! But maybe just this weekend
I would image the TPU cases don't have cutouts because you don't need a cutout with such soft rubber. But that's just a guess. (for now!)

Probably no cutout because you can press them through a case.
In order to protect your phone when you drop it, a case has to slow your phone down gradually and absorb the force of the impact when it hits the pavement which is what a soft case does. A hard case just transfers that force straight to the phone so they're almost useless if you drop it. Hard cases are for preventing scratches only... but then if you get a grain of sand inbetween the case and the phone, it will make more scratches than if you didnt have it.

And a TPU case prevents the grain of sand getting there?
Also i'm guessing that if you press the rocker through the case you won't feel any 'click'?
some TPU cases have the click feel to it and some have a thicker TPU casing which doesn't have the click feel. I purchased a TPU case off of HandheldItems and the power/volume buttons all have a click feel to them.

Probably a better chance than a hard case since the soft cases tend to wrap around the phone more completely, and end up flush against the phone body with no gap.

Nillkin case.
i got a nillkin hard case in white and i have to say its quite nice. It may look like an ordinary case but the back of it is textured with grip and the sides are glossy and shiny like the one X. It raise the back of the phone very slightly so the camera lens doesn't get scratched easily. for under 20bucks i must say im quite impressed with it. it comes with a screen protector which i haven't tried to put on since i suck at it and a tiny cleaning cloth.
Ordered hard case two days ago.
I just ordered the black TPU case. Will let y'all know when it arrives and if it is worth the purchase.

Hard case. There is a cutout for the volumerocker.
Edit: typo, my baaadd! Hard case has a cutout .
So, after getting my anker glass protector all my cases push up on the glass making them unusable. are there any tpu cases that are more friendly to glass protectors? my diztronic case even pushes up on it which sucks because it was my favorite case since i bought my phone. currently using a cheap 0.3mm ebay case that doesn't push on the protector but was wondering what others have in combination with their glass protectors without having issues? Thanks

I use diztronics tpu and speck candyshell with mine. Have no issues at all
I have the Nillkin Tempered Glass and use the Spigen Ultra Hybrid case. I have no issues with the case pushing up on the glass protector
Anker tempered glass with spigen neo hybrid. No issues at all.
As a new owner of the beast, i'm looking for a good tpu case and a tempered glass.
At my previous smartphones, i always used Spigen SGP cases.
Any recommendation..?
(I would like to buy them form eBay or Amazon)
Thanks in advance!

Overall the consensus on XDA is Diztronic TPU case and Orzly tempered glass. Share your experience with us.
I recommend the Bepak tempered glass protector. It leaves the sensor uncovered but covers the camera lens. Great quality and it's only $8.

Agreed, if you're in the market for a TPU case and tempered glass screen protector for the One, these two are the current champs IMO.
Not the biggest fan of screen protectors but I can vouch for the Diztronic TPU case. Won't hurt your wallet and the quality is up there.
Ships from U.S. too which is a plus, fast shipping.

Does this tempered glass screen protector go from top of the screen to the bottom? I purchased a cheap one on Amazon it came with an aluminum bumper and it doesn't go all the way from top to bottom it leaves a gap at the bottom

I own a OnePlus One with the Bamboo back and as most people already know, it's actually quite thicker than the normal sandstone black and silk white backs and also a bit heavier. Because of this, most cases won't fit. I already tried putting on a naked clear case but my phone was too thick. Hopefully others with the Bamboo back could post here what cases would fit so we can put together a sort of list of confirmed cases that fit the Bamboo OPO.

I was debating to open a thread for this too, but here, I have these cases:
6x Aluminium Bumper Case (no SIM slot)
4x Ringke Fusion Case
2x Orzly Fusion "Bumper" Case
1x TUDIA Slim Fit Dual-Layer Cygen
1x TUDIA Ultra Slim LITE TPU Bumper
1x Diablo Jkase Rugged Case
Aluminium Bumper Case: I wouldn't use these because I don't want to damage the plastic on the side of the phone, as well as get my bamboo scratched. But it does fit, screws require a bit more pressure for locking in, which brings me to my original point, I don't want to damage the orange-ish plastic.
Ringke Fusion Case: I'm using this on my Daily Driver OnePlus One (Bamboo) atm, as well as my developer OnePlus One (sandstone) - I love these cases, it feels so high quality and fits around the device well. As you can see, I have 4 because two of them were the first batch which were quite loose.
Orzly Fusion "Bumper" Case: Rubbish. It doesn't shape around the edges of the phone and the lips of the "lay-on-the-table" design is so loose, I'd toss these out if I were you.
TUDIA Slim Fit Dual-Layer Cygen: Fits, but as usual the flaws are that the hard plastic does not align properly with the TPU is more obvious than on the Sandstone. Bad first batch, but not for everyone - as the manufacturing line is different.
TUDIA Ultra Slim LITE TPU Bumper: I have the clear version to show off the back. It looks good, and fits very well. As usual, clear displays the bamboo design quite well.
Diablo Jkase Rugged Case: It was a rather "loose" case to begin with, so it fits well with the bamboo styleswap/bamboo device. However, why would you buy a case to cover your bamboo anyways?

Wow! That's solid helpful. The one I wanted to get but didn't fit when I tried it on was the Bepak Slim Transparent Case so stay away from that if you've got the bamboo. I really wanted a clear case coz I didn't want to cover the Bamboo but after trying the Bepak case I didn't think any slimfit clear case would fit. Glad to hear the Ringke Fusion Case fits! Do you have the clear one? I think I might just order one.

Sorry, can I just confirm, is the Aluminium Case you mention first the one by kwmobile/KW-Commerce? And, if it is, you say you wouldn't choose it because of potential scratching, but do you think it's still a good case in that it protects the screen from being damaged?

Yeah because that case is actually already very snug on the sandstone version of the OnePlus, with the added thickness at the back, it will scrape along the plastic and the bamboo (I had a lot of experience with aluminium bumpers with added thickness battery covers (Note 3 + Al bumper + Al battery cover) and the battery cover was scratches so much). It will protect your screen somehow (I did drop my sandstone OPO with a tempered glass on solid concrete and it was perfectly fine)

strongly disagree. I'd recommend Orzly Fusion bumper case. The fit is perfect, not too tight. Fits perfectly round the edges and definitely not loose on the 'lay-on-the-table' part. I also own Ringke & Diztronic.
Im pretty sure u got a bad batch of the Orzly, or maybe an early batch...

I would not, my two cases I ordered one month apart are exactly what KP Smith said in a comment here:

my diztronic tpu slim cases fit pretty good as well. you put them on like you would with the regular back then just run your fingers around the edges and it falls right into place. I have 4 different colors from different batches and all fit fine. I also have the ringke fusion.. its actually on my phone right now. Its got the clear back and tinted sides. Fits 99.9% perfectly! Its my go to case for sure.
Right now I have a huge amzer case on mine. I have a couple other tpu cases but, my hands get sweaty this time of month and they get disgusting and slippery. I was wondering if a bumper case+ carbon fiber skin on the back would be enough protection? I already have a tempered glass protector on the front

90% of the time when I drop my phone, it lands on a corner or side, ergo the bumpers usability. The glass screen protectors will protect against scratches from sand, but not much force. Honestly I like having the back so that the lens doesn't get scratched when I put the phone down on a table.
