CM10 - Jelly Bean Dlink not connecting - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My dlink router is showing "not in range" or doesn't show at all, any help???
Marty

It was so odd...mine did something similar at a friend's. I basically walked around and refreshed the router list a few times and it came up.

Tablet disconnects from GNexus hotspots every 12mins

Hi, I'm having this problem with internet connection using the portable Wi-Fi hotspot on my Galaxy Nexus. My A500 (Tablet) connects without a hitch to the Nexus but after 12 mins (this happens after each connection),the tablet disconnects then waits for about 20secs before establishing connection again.
While all this is going on, the hotspot on GNexus is still very much on.
This can be annoying especially when streaming videos on the A500 which tends to result in starting the videos all over again ie after each disconnection.
What can i do to resolve this issue? And is this a problem from GNexus or A500?
I'm on Stock Honeycomb 3.2.1 on the tablet and not rooted while GNexus is on Stock ICS and unrooted. Thanks

I have the same problemwith my HTC Flyer (rooted and 3.2.1) and stock Gnex 4.0.2. Sure would be nice to use this feature again without any problems.
Try another tethering app like Android Tether

No problems here, aokp + franco kernel

The first step is to figure out which device is the problem. You need to discover that out for yourself by using a third wifi device and try using that as a hotspot and a streaming device. After you figure out which is actually the problem then you can report back

If this turns out an ICS/nexus software issue, and hotspot is renewing dhcp licence every 12mins, OP should check official bugtracker (he's on stock), and if issue has not yet been reported, then do so.

Location Settings (AOKP ICS, 3.0 kernal)

Is there a trick to getting wifi location to work with this ROM? Despite checking the "use network" setting in location settings, I keep getting prompted to turn it on.

[Q] AOKP not working with MHL?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2x (SGH-T989) with AOKP JB-MR1 v6 (aokp_hercules-userdebug 4.2.2 JDQ39 eng.sethyx.20130326.121212 test-keys).
I received my MHL HDMI adapter today and tried to use it on my phone. I had several different things happen, but no proper operation. What I've had happen is:
- Phone just keeps restarted if I boot with the MHL adapter connected.
- Blank screen on my phone and a good picture on my TV.
- Landscape only on my phone and no picture on my TV.
- Landscape only on my phone and a corrupted or blue screen that doesn't match the screen on my phone. (ie. phone at my desktop but TV showing a messed up lock screen) - Screenshot attached to this post.
I tested the adapter on the same TV with a different S2x with the stock Koodo firmware and it was working fine.
Any ideas what might be happening and how to correct it?
Well...the tw rom worked. Try using a stock rom or ask in rom thread for fix. Try googling mhl fix

MHL does not work on any 4.2.2 ROM yet. It is a known issue, and there is nothing you can do but go back to 4.1.2 for now.

Rootbox Wifi Compatibility

Just installed Rootbox, went to join my wireless N network and the router didn't show up. Was able to connect with Lifeless ROM and stock. My wireless G router appeared and connected fine. Differences between the router are one is G other is N, channel width on the N router is 40. Anyone have any ideas on why this ROM can't see this router?
it has something to do with the driver file. Did this get changed in development of this ROM?
I'm running Rootbox also. I was able to connect up to my Netgear n300

My channel width is set to 40mhz, on your netgear are you set , 20, 40, or 20/40?
It's running at 20.

That's why... O well, just thought it was weird every other ROM works but this.
