Wifi Calling Settings - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Is it possible to change he apn settings etc in the wificalling function?
I am UK need based and bought a US-T-mobile and want to use it with Orange UK wifi apn settings (and Orange sim)
Orange, the only WIFI Calling carrier here, sell the S3 without Wifi calling... If you guys have a better work around to suggest I would love to hear.
Other than that, I think that if I can edit the wifi calling apn settings on your t-mobile phones, that should be good enough for me.
Thx!

Not sure where you're from but in the UK there's no such thing. It's for Orange users only and won't work on T-Mobile

For orange, you will need an orange branded phone. It's just how it goes. From what I understand orange calls it signal boost?

7T and wifi calling

For any of you on the Beta, do you not have WiFi calling or the enhanced menu in settings/ Sim & Network?
It's probably something with your carrier.
I have the Open Beat 2 and I run dual SIM, TMO & ATT in the US. In the TMO SIM settings I have WiFi calling settings, in the ATT SIM settings I do not. ATT does not support WiFi calling or VoLTE for BYOD devices brought to their network.

Wifi calling greyed out (sprint to t-mobile)

Can anyone please explain the steps to enable wifi calling feature? i can toggle volte on/off but not wi-fi calling.
this was a sprint phone now on tmobile prepaid network.
Sprints firmware in conjunction with T-Mobile being T-Mobile does not permit both WiFi calling (or VOWiFi) or VoLTE (voice over 4g/lte).
T-Mobile made it known they will not permit support for this device and as of their plans for 2021, they plan to shut down 2g and 3g networks. Theoretically you'd have to upgrade your phone to a 5g T-Mobile certified phone. As per the merger with sprint, only select sprint based devices will be patched to work on T-Mobile (galaxy s20 ultra) being one of them.
To summarize, it won't work because sprint locked it and T-Mobile won't permit it. Gotta love the "un-carrier" for letting you "bring your own device". T-Mobile is more to blame. They don't want to support it. Hopefully we get a full root with a custom rom up that permits volte or VOWiFI otherwise this phone might be dead by 2021q1. Probably why it's <$300 on eBay right now.
i read some were able to get service codes to access hidden menu to update apn and mms settings by deleting sprint settings. would that fix all the issues?

Click to collapse
No that can't fix volte and vowifi

Enable WiFi calling

With the recent bombing in nashville. my phone is useless unless connceted to wifi at home and even then i can't make wifi calls. Im on the cricket wireless network so i go down to the store, only for the wireless tech to not be able to enable it in settings. Is there any special code to unlock this setting. I bought the phone carrier free brand new.
Hi
Hope you are doing ok there
Well were u able to use wifi calling before the current situation you are in? The wifi calling needs to be supported by your mobile phone carrier so check with them. If yes then there could be a problem with your phone or simcard if no then you are stuck with qhat you have or you change your carrier to anotherone qhich supports wifi calling
Best regards
