I need help guys ive tried 5 times now and still no luck. From my understanding u must use odin/mobile odin to flash the EL26 kernel in order to flash a ics rom.. Every time i flash the kernel using mobile odin it gets stuck on sgs2 boot screen what do ido?

After kernel flashes, hold power+volume up to get to recovery. If u miss the chance to do it on time and ur screen goes black after the galaxy boot logo, just hold down power+volume up for a good 15 seconds or so and keep holding it until the galaxy boot screen comes on.

Alternatively you can flash ICS ROMs (most of them esp. TW ones) using AGAT or Team Venum recoveries.
Agat has ODIN friendly recoveries dont know about Rujelus
Thanks guys I got it work but still can't get my pics to load in the gallery they are stored in my internal SD and they won't appear. I'm running aokp build 37.

Download directory bind apk, set source as emmc. Set target as sdcatd/external_SD and you're all set. Its on xda and not the market so just Google it.

Have you downloaded any new apps lately? Have you try clearing cache and davlik-cache? Maybe a reboot or a hard reset?
We're comin from a pure power source.
yes ive done all those..even wiped my sd card and installed new rom, stil does it. idk

When it's on and you turn the screen off, does it turn off on the first press (eliminating the power button itself as the problem)?
That's weird. I thought maybe the button is going bad, but then it would do the same thing when turning it off I would think.

From your description, it seems like a mechanical/hardware problem, but if you're able to rule that out somehow, go into recovery, wipe EVERYTHING except the SD card and then download and flash a rooted stock ODEXED rom from HERE. This is a close to stock as you can get without unrooting. If it doesn't work with this rom, I would unroot, restore S-ON and then take it in to your local Sprint store.

Does it not work with the S3? every feature I try does not work, and when I used the font changer it soft bricked my phone lol. I was able to fix it though.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
It works perfectly fine when I use it you just have to make sure you have a kernel that supports boot animations if you wanna change that
Sent from my GT-P3113 using xda premium
Works fine for me. Rom toolbox is my goto tool. Use it a lot.

Guess ill have to google and see what kernels work with it.

Is there any way to find out if my kernel is supported? I'll check all over Google and on here and was a unable to find anything.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
What kernel are you using?
You must be on the stock kernel. Won't work on that
Im on stock. 3.0.8-925100
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Flash another kernel. Doesn't really matter which. Just choose it from the Original Android Development section.
Alright I never done it before but ill give it a try tonight or tomorrow.

What would be a good one to install? Im looking to do tweaks that ROM Toolbox lets you do. Custom Boot, change WiFi logo, change Battery logo, fonts and so on? I definitely know not to use the one I'm on now because when I installed a font pack using ROM toolbox I soft bricked my phone and was stuck on the Samsung logo. So I'm basically looking for one where I can use every single feature in ROM toolbox since I now have the paid version and am unable to use it. Thanks again for all the help.

During my latest factory resort I did the whole pus volume up + home + power sequence. When I got to theme boot screen I had all the usual stuff but I noticed that at the bottom was the green android guy laying down with his chest open and a red exclamation mark coming out of it. Is this normal?

if you are planning to root your phone, i'd suggest get TWRP recovery instead of CWM, a lot more friendly to use.
Yeah. Soooo many things to choose from now lol

Hi. I own a Sony xperia as. I was on cm 10.1 RC2 and decided to flash 4.1 stock ftf using flashtool. After many failed attempts I flash yakundu's stock zipaligned and rooted ROM after wiping. But I got the boot animation followed by exclamation mark in a triangle.
Luckily the recovery was still accessible so I reflashed cm 10.1 rc 2.
After this I tried several other 4.1 ROMs like trinity etc but the same thing happens again and again.
Any idea how I can go back to 4.1?
Thanks!

what are you wiping before flashing?

its a repair process that checks and fixes anything wrong
flash stock 96 firmware and leave it be

Flashed and waited. The phone just switched off.
Meanwhile tried flashing 10.2 alpha 1 and had no problems.

Hmm
Well do you have any mounting issues on a stock 96 kernel
Sent from my Xperia S using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
No i was able to mount/unmount system data etc while on doomkernel v6
Sent from my Xperia S using xda app-developers app
Did it boot after it turned off
And what did you do when you first saw it
Sent from my Xperia S using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Not by itself. I had to do it.
Sent from my Xperia S using xda app-developers app
When I first saw it I turned the phone off immediately then booted it again and heaved a sigh of relief when I confirmed that the recovery was working.
Sent from my Xperia S using xda app-developers app
Well charge your battey , load a stock kernel and leave it , and if your lucky you may get it to boot
It is part of the kernel, and must not be disturbed otherwise it may result in a hard brick
Or so rumoured

Will look into it

I first had the same exclamation mark when I flashed back the stock .96 rom, and now having it every time I reboot the phone. As well as phone is ok, I started ignoring it.

Guys, I know what he's talking about. He's not talking about the wrench and spanner logo with the bar at the bottom. It's a different image by itself, which just has an exclamation mark with the phone lying under it. Like the dead Android when your flashing goes wrong. Except, all the flashing was successful, it booted through the kernel, but was unable to boot into system. That's what I think is happening. I tried mounting and unmounting and re mounting his system, but nothing worked. In the recovery, flashing is successful, but it's unable to boot into the system.

I don't
The poster is my friend and I saw it first hand. I wanted to clarify that it wasn't the flashing logo, and hoped to find a solution from you guys. Gonna try flash tool and see what happens, though.
